This is a game changer :D There are freezers full of delicious frozen offerings, fries, jalepeno taters, fried pickles, etc, and we grabbed a few to try. Also, there is a wall of quite the selection of local honey, jams, etc. BUT the real gem, the raw meat counter was chock-full of incredible cuts and varieties of meats! We decided to try to the cordon bleu chicken and brisket poppers this trip, as well as an 18 pound brisket, YUM! The employees were ready to help with any questions and even handed us a basket when our hands started to get too full. So grateful! I will note for future review readers, there is about a 4% card charge. Apparently there are signs that I missed while I was busy bouncing my eyes from product to product, so I ended up having to call once I got home about why the receipt showed a much high price than the label on the meats. So, the price label on the products is the cash price, totally understandable! In conclusion, Wise Choice exceeded our expectations on meat selection, and they even have Diet Dr Pepper and Topo Chico (I didn't have to run to Walmart for sodas! Woohoo!). Thanks team!!

Always dealt with the courteous younger workers in the past. We drive from Sherman because the product has been good in the past and the drive is not too bad, offering us a chance to reminisce about a hunt on the way in to the processor. Deer hunting for my kids has always had an unspoken goal of driving to Fischer's after the hunt. Last night we brought a doe in at just after 7 PM and I called Steve Fischer - the first name listed on the list of phone numbers to call. I've never met Steve before last night, though I have heard about him. I've never in my life dealt with a more rude or patronizing individual. I sat there and watched him patronize and demean a 14-year-old kid because he obviously didn't want to get off of his azz and come check in this kid's deer. If you don't want to come up after hours, then don't put your name on the sign. I asked him if we were putting him out and that we don't aim to, or make a make a practice of such. After a smart azz and unprofessional response, I instructed my son to put his deer back in the truck and advised Steve we'd just go somewhere else. The relative positive is that I got to talk with my son for an hour about the value of his dollar, businesses who deserve it, and businesses that do not. I've referred a friend to Fischer's about a month ago who described a similar experience dealing with Steve at check-in. You've earned your last dollar from us bud.

It's…read morenot what you might expect - it's not a meat market as such; there are no grocery-style glass display cases, rather, once you find your way inside the "facility" and knock on the door, you're welcomed and escorted into a big room where they bring out boxes of already packaged (cryovac'd) frozen selections of meat they've prepared from cattle raised there on the ranch. It's not grocery-store economy or even bulk priced; there's a premium for being able to get something of this quality. We have now tried the ground beef, rump roast, top sirloin steak and stew meat and it's some of the best beef we've ever encountered and the staff is authentic Texas-style nice to deal with, too. True it's way out in Henrietta and it's not all that easy to get to - and Google maps hasn't caught up with the fact that the road you have to turn onto off Hwy 82 has had a name change. The Google map shows the road as "Centennial" parkway but the street signage has been changed to the name of the local High School team - "Bearcat" drive (their stadium is just up the road). Once you get on the right road and head north, the turn off takes you onto a few minutes of well-graded dirt/gravel driving and you pull up to a big metal warehouse. (BTW - the view is spectacular - you can see why the ranch house is situated nearby.) The best news is if you don't want to spend that much time getting there, you can order off the web site with very reasonably-priced shipment to the DFW area. But if you want to shop and select the specific package from several in the boxes you'll want to take the time to visit - just make sure you check the schedule on the web site first and bring a big ice chest. We'll definitely go again and stock up if we're headed up in the Wichita Falls direction but we'll order online and have it delivered until then.

We're kinda picky. The next time came and as we were driving up we pulled off and toured this little place. There was beef jerky everywhere...and sauces and jellies and homemade fried pies and a cafe full of people. We just got one packet of their original beef jerky which turned out to be a HUGE mistake. As we drove off we dug in to what turned out to be mouth watering goodness. Super tasty. Delicious. THE perfect snack. Next time we purchased 10 packets. Another mistake it didn't last long. I placed an order for 30 packets to ship to my home and it literally arrived in a couple of days. I plan on sharing "some" with friends. They threw in a package of cured smoked beef sticks and can't wait to try them. The folks there are the nicest people! Sweet and informative. Hats off to their shipping folks as well!
