We have been eating in the restaurant every visit, and we haven't had a bad experience from the food, or owners yet, (I don't expect to either.). My new favorite is the, "bobotie," and my gf likes the mince stew a lot! Bobotie has a meatloaf flavor and a bit of a sweetness from what looked like raisins. It's delicious regardless. Their breakfast is great as well! The biltong, (jerky) is a great snack to purchase, if you eat every 3 hours like I do. It'd make a good stocking stuffer around Christmas for your family and friends, if you might not know what to get anyone. All of their products in the shopping center would be Great gifts this holiday season. We will continue to come here weekly to eat, shop, and chat with the owners. They're very friendly, helpful, and make great food! Awesome bakery as well. Their loafed bread is light, fluffy, and scrumptious. I could keep reviewing every item we've had, but it would be better if you just stopped in and tried it for yourselves. Don't be hesitant in stopping in, you won't be displeased!

This is a game changer :D There are freezers full of delicious frozen offerings, fries, jalepeno taters, fried pickles, etc, and we grabbed a few to try. Also, there is a wall of quite the selection of local honey, jams, etc. BUT the real gem, the raw meat counter was chock-full of incredible cuts and varieties of meats! We decided to try to the cordon bleu chicken and brisket poppers this trip, as well as an 18 pound brisket, YUM! The employees were ready to help with any questions and even handed us a basket when our hands started to get too full. So grateful! I will note for future review readers, there is about a 4% card charge. Apparently there are signs that I missed while I was busy bouncing my eyes from product to product, so I ended up having to call once I got home about why the receipt showed a much high price than the label on the meats. So, the price label on the products is the cash price, totally understandable! In conclusion, Wise Choice exceeded our expectations on meat selection, and they even have Diet Dr Pepper and Topo Chico (I didn't have to run to Walmart for sodas! Woohoo!). Thanks team!!

The staff was welcoming, and they let me sample the jalapeno macaroni and cheese, which I loved! I'm not too fond of jalapenos, and I have a low tolerance for spicy food. However, the jalapenos had a minimal spicy kick. I ordered the rib plate with my choice of side, which I chose the jalapenos macaroni and cheese, and a fountain drink for approximately 18.00. The ribs were okay, but they grew on me with each bite, and I liked the BBQ sauce. The highlight of my meal was the jalapenos macaroni and cheese! The restaurant has dine-in tables. However, it's more of a marketplace than a restaurant. We took our food to go! I would return especially for the macaroni and cheese!

It was cooked a day earlier, it was cold in the middle, and that gray/brown tint from being old. It was terrible. My granddaughter (teenager) ordered the rib combo, again very little meat, okay in flavor and small side portion. Both brisket and ribs included a small order of pinto beans which had brisket and way too much sugar in them. If you order brisket to go you will be fine. This is one I won't go back to.

This quaint spot has been standing for more than 140 years and now serves as a restaurant and live music venue on the weekends. The bar is dark, woody, and full of character and gives off the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back for an evening of music and drinks. We chose to sit in the bright front room with its abundance of windows and natural light. We started with the deviled eggs topped with bacon jam for an appetizer. Those we gobbled fast. I ordered the Wagyu House Burger with whipped jalapeño, goat cheese, and bacon jam served with tots. The burger is hardy cook cooked well and the goat cheese was a standout. My date had the chicken fried steak and after stealing a few bites I can confidently say that's what I'll be ordering next time. That was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, making an already enjoyable meal even better. We left full happy and completely charmed by both the restaurant and the surrounding area.

The food arrived on a plate instead of as a bowl, which threw me off a bit since I was expecting it to be served the way it's described. The hash browns were the highlight -- good portion and tasty. The sausage patty, though, was a little tough and had an odd texture, and it was just a single small patty. The avocado portion was also pretty tiny. I also tried a side of sausage gravy, but it wasn't the classic country-style gravy I was expecting. It was thinner, more heavily spiced, and had big sausage chunks instead of a crumble. It wasn't a bad meal overall, and I'd still come back -- I'd just try something different next time, maybe the steak and eggs.

We shared the Texas sheet cake with ice cream which was delicious. The wait staff was very engaging and gave this place a warm family feeling, so I will definitely come back. I would also compliment the wait staff of not giving that rush feeling some places have, which allowed us to relax and talk.

Then there's a warmer where I chose Mac and cheese. Also as I walked in I was asked if I wanted fries or onion rings. OMG, this place is legit! I arrived at 5 PM on a Monday and it was already beginning to get busy…read more The process is that you get in line and then when you get up to the Carver order your meats, as much or as little as you want; after you're done ordering they weigh the meat - prices are per pound (currently $26/lb). Then head inside to collect your sides, of which there are many. Then complete your purchase with the cashier at the end of the line. Tonight I tried a little of everything: the brisket - full of smoky flavor and super tender, yet it tended to crumble rather than being able to slice it; the pulled pork - juicy and tender; the jalapeño cheddar sausage - full of flavor and zip, IMO the star of the show; the turkey - dust-dry and flavorless. This one was a disappointment, however, when he was assembly my order I noticed that the Carver did locate a butt end in which he sliced the rest of the meat from. I'm sure the fresh off the smoker, huge breast that just got put down on the warmer would've been just fine in juicy flavor. They should have found some other use for that dry butt end of turkey instead of serving it to me because I took only one bite and threw the rest away. For sides, I had the jalapeño sweet corn casserole (outstanding!). Coleslaw (fresh) and complimentary pinto beans. These beans were excellent and they are cooked with what I'm assuming are the leftover scraps of meat; what a flavorful side item and they are free! I love their regular sauce, didn't care for the flavor their spicy sauce. Sauces are available on a warmer which further adds to the flavor. I did get a piece of whiskey pie to -go. Their pie slices are small, which was fortunate, in this case, because I didn't find it to be very good. Overall, fantastic food, young servers and staff were respectful and helpful. Nice air-conditioned, indoor dining as well as outdoor dining tables.
