Due to Covid, we had to reschedule our wedding and had to find a new photographer. A friend recommended working with Dawn and the rest was history. Dawn walked us through what the new schedule would look like, what photos we wanted, and understood how we wanted photos to look. We wanted a more natural, "candid" picture. She was able to adapt to our individual needs. Even before the event, she was extremely helpful, welcoming and addressed our questions in a timely fashion. She also asked questions that helped her understand the unique situation she was asked to take photos for (small wedding, personal premise). When it came to the wedding, Dawn was fantastic. She immediately started scouting for an additional photo spots to ensure she would get the best view point. This was no small feat, she walked a good distance to the tree line and into a small forest. She really wanted to maximize her working area. The photos of the prep time, ceremony, dancing and speeches captured the magic of the evening. Her photos really speak for her craft. Dawn was our wedding photographer, and she also did our engagement shoot. We had met with two other photographers, who were great in their own right, but we immediately "clicked" with Dawn. Her personality put us completely at ease, and her photography style was exactly what we had in mind. Initially I didn't even want to do an engagement photo session. I'm not at all photogenic (believe me, that's not false modesty, but a fact) and I'm not very comfortable posing and having my picture taken. My then-fiance convinced me that having an engagement shoot would be good practice for taking the wedding photos, and would give us an opportunity for Dawn to get to know us better and vice versa, thereby resulting in better photos. As usual, he was 100% correct. We wanted our engagement photos to not be too "staged," so we chose to shoot around our neighborhood, where's there's unusual backdrops and lots of natural settings. From the…read morefirst moment that I actually met Eric (when my fiancé proposed) I knew I was in good hands. He exudes compassion, understanding and knowledge. This is important to a bride! He took our proposal, engagement and wedding pictures...and we've been so happy with them all. Eric is dependable, organized and SO personable. Our wedding party, particularly the girls, raved about how Eric handled things. I must have thought that Eric's ways were the norm, but I was informed from my closest and most trusted friends that Eric was extraordinary and even was told "I wish I had a photographer like him." As a bride, you want to be sure you are in trusted hands. He carried the train of my dress many times, gave my girls tips on how to stand to look their best, joked with us and made us all at ease. Not to mention he cleans up nice, and cares about his appearance on the day that you REALLY care about yours! Luckily, my husband and I live near Eric because he came over to our home to go through our pictures and put together our wedding album. However, I'd have to assume he'd have done this even if we lived far away, that is just the kind of guy he is. We settled on our pictures, just received our album and we are smitten with it! As are our parents, who got miniature albums, too. :) Groom's Thoughts: My personal experience with Eric was a little different. I knew Eric prior to hiring him as our photographer. But I knew from the start of working with him on the proposal pictures he was a good match for my fiancé (now wife). Organized, professional, and very perceptive of his client's needs. He takes the time to explain how best to take shots in a professional way, but always truly listens to what you want. Watching how calm my wife was during all of the photography was amazing and I owe much of that to Eric's demeanor with her. He put her at ease by helping and directing her at the right times. Additionally, he was extremely helpful with anything we needed outside of just photography - helping my wife bustle her dress, giving bridesmaids pointers on how to help, keeping us on time, etc. Additionally, for me it means a lot when you team up with the right people to create an amazing experience. For months before the wedding, their whole team was professional and quick with responding to any questions I had. They were transparent and well-organized. We had two phone meetings to meet with Conrad before the big day. Even before the wedding, Conrad was so sweet and eager to shoot our Medieval wedding. When an illness came up, they were easily able to shift their coverage to make sure we still had two photographers and a videographer for the full time, which was a huge relief.
