Uncooked close up

The size of the crawfish was not worth $8.99. Did have flavor. Service was slow. Nowhere to sit and eat. I purchased a shrimp basket to go l. It was disappointing and disgusting. I couldn't eat the shrimp the batter was salt and uncooked french fries weren't done either

Yummyyyy

They acted giddy and happy to help us put everything together, reassuring us that they would be there to support us on our big day. That all changed the moment they got paid. On the day of the event, we only saw the owners twice, and neither time was to help us. When I walked up to the owner to thank him for having us, his response was completely unprofessional: "Are you kidding? This is for you, you paid for it." The only other time he approached us was to aggressively complain about someone taking up two parking spots--and it wasn't even one of our guests. They also explicitly promised they would check on us throughout the event to see if we needed refills on water or drinks. They completely ghosted. We never saw them, and our guests were left without service. It has been three weeks since the event, and we haven't received a single follow-up call or text to ask how things went. They got their money and completely checked out. Nice place, but terrible owners and even worse service. Never again will we book with them. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually cares about your business.

First, let's talk about the service which is extremely efficient you order at the counter and the weight staff brings out your meal shortly thereafter. The ambience is very plain like a diner very simple but very clean and so if you wanna grab some wonderful Greek food especially a Gyro you'll find no place better at least on the west side of town. The salads are wonderful of which I had a Greek why not I'm in a Greek restaurant but it was chalk full of wonderful, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, and had a great dressing. In addition, I had a Gyro, which I really didn't even eat until later that day because the salad alone was filling. The owner happen to be in on this particular day as he often is in his restaurant. What a pleasant man we discussed what was going on in our community and then what his experience was in Michigan. He's always a delight to speak to. I would highly highly recommend Papa gyros..

I stopped in before an open house nearby, and it ended up being such a highlight of my day. The moment you walk in, it feels like a true family-owned Greek diner--unpretentious, warm, and inviting. Chris, the owner, welcomed me with a big smile and took the time to walk me through the specials, which says a lot about the pride and care behind this place. I ordered the gyro combo and it was next-level. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, stuffed generously with all the classic gyro essentials, and wrapped in warm, soft pita. Every bite was balanced and satisfying. The fries were fresh, hot, and flavorful--not an afterthought at all. And the baklava? Flaky, sweet, and rich without being overpowering--absolutely delicious. Don't skip the house hot sauce--it adds the perfect kick and takes the gyro to another level. This is exactly the kind of locally owned business that makes a neighborhood special. Incredible food, genuine hospitality, and the kind of place you confidently recommend to clients, friends, and anyone who wants to experience the area like a local. I'll definitely be back.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food--not Tex-Mex--this is the place. As San Diegans now living in Houston, we've been craving the flavors we grew up with, and this hit the spot. You can truly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every dish. The pork in chile verde was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, and the green salsa on the chilaquiles was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the menudo, and it did not disappoint it was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. One thing that really stood out was the owner, who stopped by several times to check on us, make sure we were enjoying every dish, and see if we needed anything. That level of hospitality made the experience even more memorable. The restaurant is clean, casual, and very family-friendly, making it a great spot for any occasion. I visited during lunchtime for the AYCE and it wasn't bad at all. I tend to lower my expectations…read morewhen it comes to AYCE and revolving sushi, but 25 Sushi House does it well. The selection is a bit more limited for lunch, but the price is lower than dinner as well. Being AYCE, I wouldn't expect the highest quality, type, and cut of fish, but what they had was pretty solid, tasted fresh, and was delicious. A minor complaint would be they had no sashimi option, even for the tamago which I personally believe is eaten best without rice, but that's just minor stuff considering the good value here. As much as I try to find a reason not to give this place an outstanding rating, if I compare it to the AYCE category of restaurants, it did everything right. They do have a regular a la carte menu, with a selection that looks like a treat in itself. As for me, I highly enjoyed their jalapeno bomb to start. I highly doubt they used snow crab, tasted like imitation crab, but I enjoyed it nevertheless and got another order at the end. I tried a few nigiri while I was here, with eel being my favorite (and thank goodness for no bones, which was lucky because it's eel). Their tacos were an unexpected standout and is worth a bite or two. Using sheets of nori and frying it to it holds up like a shell is pretty genius and more places need to do this. I had a good time with their Burning Alaska signature maki, which has salmon as the main star. The smokiness from torching was a killer! Their curry reminded me of S&B, which might very well be the mix they used. I was a bit disappointed to not see fish katsu as an option considered it's a sushi place, but I can see the katsu curry selection being a good option as a comfort dish. I wish I had the stomach space to try out new stuff, but maybe next time. Wish someone would post a photo of the salmon skin salad, because I'm a bit curious about that!

If the owner decides to continue being rude and unprofessional to customers as well as treating customers like he is a social justice warrior all righteous and almighty, well good luck) Only if we knew sooner, by reading others' similar experiences/reviews as well as the owner responses to them with such rudeness and sarcasm, we could have prevented it from happening to us LOL

If you look at my restaurant reviews buying far the most of them are sushi, restaurants. This is truly an experience to be had. Not only is the service superlative, and the ambience rather comfortable, there is apparently an upstairs as well with a balcony as I understand it, but this restaurant is truly outstanding. The quality and caught of fish is simply wonderful. I had my standard Uni and Uni with quail eggs, and I believe it to be California Uni, but in any case, it was absolutely wonderful. The service was outstanding. Although there was a primary server, no one is beyond taking an order for a drink or food, which makes the dining experience absolutely wonderful because rather than wait people pass by and actually solicit, but they do so in a very pleasant manner. I could speak further to each and every cut of fish that I had the Hamachi Kama etc however every dish was good or better than the last. I had a Japanese old-fashioned, which was wonderful and made with Toki whiskey. Perfectly made a wonderful experience as it is a full bar. This is not a place to be missed.

The soup was a little thin with a strange sour aftertaste, and the tofu pieces were very small, similar to the pre-packaged ones. It was complimentary, so I didn't really have any complaints, but it wasn't the perfect appetizer to start the meal. Sweet Thai Tea - I love it when places nail this classic drink. I was feeling a little tired today and (I know it's bad), but I needed the sugar pick-me-up. This definitely hit the spot. Eel Avocado Roll - I loved the flavor of this. These rolls are always inexpensive and still very delicious, making them an easy go-to whenever you don't know what to order. I also got this for my mom because she's a picky eater, and she had no issues with it. Salmon Tempura Roll - The salmon was cooked, which caught me off guard since I was expecting raw salmon. The tempura was a bit oily and took up too much of the roll, leaving the filling pretty sparse. Because the inside was fairly bland, the sourness of the rice became more noticeable. This ended up being one of my least favorite rolls. California Tempura Roll - I loved the presentation of this one. The slight sweetness was a pleasant surprise, and the filling itself was delicious. The downside was that there just wasn't much of it, so each bite felt less satisfying than I expected. The thicker tempura batter also made the roll feel increasingly oily the more I ate. One small thing I noticed was that they initially gave us very little pickled ginger. We asked for more, and they happily brought out a generous serving. I assume they keep the first portion small because not everyone eats it, but they're more than willing to give you extra if you ask. The atmosphere was pleasant, the music wasn't too loud, and the seats were cozy. Customer service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Overall, my favorite part of the meal was actually the Thai tea because it hit my sweet tooth. The sushi wasn't overly impressive, but it also wasn't underwhelming. Even California Tempura Roll, one of the pricier rolls we ordered, still felt a bit skimpy on the inside. The prices were reasonable, though I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for better flavor and more generous fillings.
