Came during off time, and we were the only ones in the restaurant, which was a little spooky. But the waitress was nice and wasn't over-pressuring us. I had the XL burrito, which was fine but nothing to rave about. But the carpet was a surprise. It's been quite a while since I've seen carpet in a restaurant, and it was pretty dirty and needed replacing. Worth a visit just for the amazing prices. My uncle and aunt's favorite spot. read more

Clean and comfortable inside with plenty of space and a small bar area! Service was always good. Habanero's offers a nice mix of Italian and Mexican choices. We were staying in the area and ate here a handful of times. For me the highlight of the menu was the pizza! They have a nice brick pizza oven and the pies are well prepared. The other dishes were good but nothing really sticks out. They do offer weekly specials (sorry, I didn't get any photos). Give it a try! This could become your new low key hangout. read more

This is a solid place. I came on a Friday night where there is a live band serenading the guests with their beautiful voice. The street tacos were ok. This restaurant doesn't even deserve 1 star. We ordered the nachos and the enchaladas. Well neither had any flavor! The enchaladas tasted like someone took a corn tortilla and threw shredded chicken and put tomato sauce on top then put in on the microwave. Nasty!! Service a joke! This is my third visit. (I'm a retired general manager of a local restaurant.) To be honest, if it hadn't been someone else's idea, I would not have returned. (Both the service and the food were subpar.) I'm glad we went because the young lady who was waiting on us, Jenny, greeted me with a wonderful smile and a happy greeting. We ordered our food, which arrived quickly and was delicious! We then ordered dessert, and who doesn't enjoy dessert? They were also very good. We went on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. First time there since the last business set up there. Friendly waitress seated us immediately. I ordered a Margarita and he had a iced tea. We were served chips and two dips; one tomato salsa and the other was a black bean dip. And then we tried some chili con queso Margarita was okay but I'm not sure what mix they are using but it had a subtle unusual fruit taste. Salsa/Dips were interesting as the red salsa was (I'm guessing) puréed tomatoes, warmed with no spices added. Same with the black bean, puréed and warm with no spices. Chili con queso was warm with a bit of onion immersed and a small amount of pickled jalapeños on the side. But it was thin and runny. Service was good but we were there for the food, sampling the basic starters and didn't get past that. Prices seemed a bit on the higher side compared to all of the Mexican food competition in the area. Not confident that the Mexican food dishes would be any better than the starters, we may try a lunch there and see if the Veal Picatta and maybe the pizza would be worth another visit. read more

Wooowwww Habaneros! What the heck?! How did I not know?! Who knew right down the street there was a gem of a place that has some bomb pazole! I was so pleasantly surprised. They also are not stingy with their bowl of pazole. Tastes fresh and was just amazing. They give you cabbage, radish, onions and all of the spices on the side to throw in. Big chunks of meat as well. Me and my dad sat outside on their patio. No one was there which was great for us since it was a small patio. So glad we found this place! Worth a try if you are in the area. This location (Not the restaurant itself) is known by the neighborhood locals to struggle. I don't understand. It's a corner spot with a nice patio and modern exterior. The now Habaneros restaurant has amazing street tacos and good drinks. It's a Mex-Italian place. They have a wood burning pizza oven. My husband, daughter and I decided to try a new Mexican restaurant and were looking for a patio. When we came across Habanero with 4.5 stars, we had no reason not to try it. Unfortunately, the longer we stayed, the worse it got. The salsa with chips is just a red/orange sauce - like they boiled the flavor out. Since the black bean dip that comes out is pretty good, and queso appetizer was ok, we ran out of chips, and were left to try to flag someone down - to only be heard by the third waiter we tried. For the meals - I had the specialty enchiladas poblanos which had green sauce with 0 flavor, and came out luke warm. My husband ordered the fajita beef burrito, which was similarly bland, luke warm and came with french fries? The 2 stars come from a decent frozen margarita, an ok queso, and our daughter's kids spaghetti and meatball (singular) that came out nice and hot. - she is 4 and liked it, and she usually likes her food bland. Service is a 3 at best. Don't go for the Mexican food! read more

I love Habanero's! First and foremost I love to support a business when you know the person behind it is a kind hearted human being. Joel, the owner is hard working and always wants to make sure you have a great experience. This place checks off all the boxes with having a good drinks, good wine, and good food. It's hard to find all 3 these days. All of the servers are so polite and hard working as well. I have eaten mexican food and pasta dishes from this place and have been very impressed both times. I saw this place and saw the reviews therefore I stopped to try it out. The first thing I noticed was that this place is confused as to what it wants to be. Is it an Italian place or is it Mexican? The salsa and chips were flavorless. The salsa is orange and remind me of a pumpkin puree and has zero flavor. The black bean dip was the only thing that has some sort of flavor. The food came out warm, not hot, and lacked any sort of flavor. I mean zero flavor. I do hope that they can get it together and be successful, but unfortunately there are so many Mexican places around here that it makes it hard to come back here for flavorless food. I wool give them one more chance by putting something simple and hard to mess up like a pizza. We will see how that turns out. read more

Great place to eat , you have a mixture of two cuisine that use several spices and flavor to bring food to live . I only tried the Alfredo it was good needed to be a little bit more creamer and fresh grind parmesan cheese but can't beat the price. Let's start off with, nice atmosphere. Service is really good. Kept our tea glasses full. Wife ordered taco salad and I ordered chicken Marsala. Chips were a little stale but not a deal breaker. Green and red sauce were good. Green was a bit spicier than the red sauce. It wasn't avocado sauce but salsa verde. The taco salad looked good. The shell shaped like a bowl instead of a taco. She said it was more edible because the lettuce was shredded. The chicken was awesome! It was so tender, I was able to cut it with my fork. The onions were the same. The Marsala gravy was delicious. Seasoned just right. The mushrooms were cut thin and were a great compliment. My only complaint is, I wish there was more! The rice was good and the refried beans were so-so. They were a little dry which made them thick. I mixed the rice and beans with the Marsala gravy and that worked perfectly. We saved just enough room for dessert. We're going to try the flan . Will take a picture of it and post in a bit. OK, flan is off the chain! Smooth, creamy and oh so delicious! The sauce has a buttery taste. Sinful, just sinful! A must try! Save room for this dessert! My fiancé and I ate here last night. I ordered the fajitas and my fiancé ordered pork chops with chimichurri. The fajitas were previously cooked then microwaved and the pork chops were over cooked and poor quality. The mashed potatoes were instant. The vegetables were undercooked. The beans tasted like aluminum. The rice was the only thing that tasted good. On top of all of that, It made me really sick and I've been stuck at home all day now. We knew once we walked in it wasn't going to be great and that the reviews were obviously fake, but I wouldn't have left a review if it wouldn't have made me extremely sick. The service was fine. I am in town to help care for my very ill older brother. This restaurant is just few minutes drive away. After a long day I love coming here. The food is very good, I like their wine, I like their bar, the setting is very comfortable, it's not crowded, the music (Country) is not too loud, the people are friendly and the price is very good. I have been frequenting this restaurant now for about a year. I love their pizzas and burritos are excellent. I keep going with the intention to try some of the other items on the menu but I can't get past the Pizza's now.
