Stopped by Los Cucos for my co-workers farewell lunch. I ordered the Fish Tacos with black beans and they were delicious.

Stopped by for my coworkers farewell lunch. My fish tacos were delicious! We also ordered the queso to share and man oh man, you can't go wrong with that.

Their free chips and salsa are sooooo good you don't even need to order an appetizer (bonus points if you mix both salsas at the same time for the perfect amount of spicy)! Their margaritas are also good and strong but without tasting like alcohol which was great, I also tried their tamales which I was surprised by because it comes with sauce and cheese on top and I had never tasted it like that but it was still good. The only reason they lose a star is because I tried their enchiladas and idk if I'm just not an enchilada person or if it was bad but it was too saucy to be that tasteless. For ambiance the place can be loud if you're sat next to a large party and they also have mariachis going around offering to sing songs to your table which was pretty cool. And the service was impeccable, our waiter was perfect. All in all I recommend it.

The food is always excellent. The service is above and beyond outstanding in the ambiance is always a great atmosphere!!! my husband and I came to celebrate our 37 year anniversary and brought my sister that was from out of town. We drive from San Antonio to hear anytime we want Mexican food and yes, there is one here in San Antonio, but the one here on 16216 Clay Road is the top-of-the-line as far as we are concerned!!!!

Dined in with a group of friends to celebrate one of my friends' birthday. For a week day, it was moderately packed, but they had plenty of parking, and our server was very accommodating for our large party. The only thing I wished oir server did was notify us that happy hr was ending. Some of us arrived prior to 6 pm and unfortunately didn't get to partake. I ordered the taquitos, it was light, cooked well, and the green salsa they were with it had the right amount of heat. Drinks Grand Anejo : myself, and 1 other person ordered this. It was flavorful slightly on the sweet side. I didn't really taste the liquor, so I'm not sure I'd order it again. And it had a lot of ice House margarita : Several people ordered a variety of these at the table. I do like that you can mix flavors. If you're not careful, these will sneak up on you. All the flavors were delicious Food From the taquitos, enchiladas, skillet, and appetizer, everything was seasoned well and and it came out hot and fresh. No complaints from our group. This place is good for individuals, families, large or small groups they have plenty of space My favorite is the guitar player who visits the tables and serenade you and the birthday sopas. I thought we'd get a souvenir photo like prior when I've visited, but the photographer wasn't there.

Sometimes one goes back to a place that one knows is not gonna have the best service and sometimes the food is not consistent but they have what one craves. Lol Sopa de res was what I was craving. Big portions but a little lacking in flavor this time. Opted for sopapillas for dessert. Next time will have to ask them to please not douse them with the honey. To bring them dry and honey on the side.

They did not fill my 16 ounce margarita up to the full 16 ounces. At least short by 4 ounces. Frustrating because they sealed the margarita before you leave so you can't open it until you get home. Almost seems intentional.

Los Cucos is a long time family Fav.. service is always great at this location and you can't beat their Margaritas. The Mariachi Loco is perfect for anyone who just cant pick a protein but isn't ready to commit to a grill special. The Ribs are surprisingly tasty and are worth a shot if you're a rib addict like myself.

*Bar review only* 2 stars for the bartender being really nice and the drink being strong. Otherwise this place is a no. The smell was awful; like they mopped the floors with old dirty water. Several tables remained unbussed for the entire duration of my visit with leftovers from previous patrons.

This was my first time at this Cucos location, I typically frequent another location close to my office. The service was great and the food and drinks were good. My brother had the strawberry margarita and got a good buzz from it. My watermelon margarita wasn't as strong but still good. I also love their chips & salsa here. The green salsa is bomb. I would come back again.

We visited around 5:00 PM on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately for a party of two without a reservation. The restaurant is huge, and despite being very busy, the service was efficient. We were seated in one of the back dining rooms and greeted with complimentary chips and salsa, both of which were delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic--packed with World Cup fans, with what felt like everyone wearing a soccer jersey. As fellow futebol fans, we loved the energy. Being from California, we're fortunate to have access to some excellent Mexican food, so we were a little hesitant about trying Tex-Mex. I ordered the chicken fajitas with flour tortillas and a passion fruit margarita. The chicken had a smoky flavor and a sauce that gave the dish a distinctly Texas-style twist. The flour tortillas were outstanding, and the refried beans and rice were just as enjoyable. The passion fruit margarita was also a standout and something I'd definitely order again. Overall, this was a great dining experience and a place I'd recommend for the atmosphere alone. The restaurant appears well-equipped to accommodate large groups, making it a great option for gatherings. Next time, I'd love to return with a bigger group and take advantage of one of their margarita pitchers!

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!
