We have had a long relationship with this office and it has been wonderful over all these years! Both of my kids have had braces through this office and the experience to this day has always been good and positive! The atmosphere is very professional and the environment and staff are top notch! As a matter of fact the Sweetwater office has been recently remodeled and it looks great! We always like coming here because of the beautiful lake right beside the office complex! It's so scenic and the whole office park is beautiful! The waiting area is very spacious, bright and contemporary and you can help yourself to a coffee or bottled water while you wait. There's always some family friendly cartoon or Disney movie playing on the big screen and plenty of current reading material. We never have to wait very long and the staff here have always been friendly and informative. Cheryl who works up front is very nice and is always eager to answer any questions you may have. If looking for a great orthodontist practice in Sugar Land look no further. Garrett and Boyd are the best!

One thing they don't tell you about orthodontics is that your face shape changes! My face got more narrow and my jaw became a little smaller. I was very pleased seeing the before and after. I recommend Invisalign even if your teeth appear straight because bite changes will result in structural face changes as well! The office is well staffed, emails are replied to quickly, and Dr. Tabakman is very thorough and comes up with a good plan. He will tell you how much time you need and as with all Invisalign providers, there are always refinements. This is not a negative to the office, but it is the drawback to using Invisalign since the trays are predicted 24 months in advance. Your teeth are stronger than the plastic trays so don't expect it to perfectly match to the forecast or what the trays look like! Houston Orthodontic Specialists has good discounts depending on the time of the year. In 2021, I paid 4.5k for 24 months of Invisalign (refiners extended it by 6 months, with no charge). It came with a retainer included in the package.

I've been a patient here for over a year, and while the care started off fine, things changed once I fell behind on payments. I still owe around $2,000, and instead of working with me or showing any understanding, the staff immediately turned me over to a third-party payment company and refused to help me with my braces or any issues I was having. Recently, my jaw started locking, cracking, and feeling tight after eating, and I called to ask for advice since I still have braces on. The response I got was completely unkind and dismissive. They made it clear they wouldn't even look at me because of the balance. I wasn't asking for a free service . I just needed help with pain that could be related to the treatment they started. It's disappointing and sad to see a place that works with people's health treat patients like numbers instead of humans. Dental and orthodontic work isn't cheap, and sometimes life happens but compassion doesn't cost a thing. I now have to find an orthodontist willing to help me . **btw they offered to remove the braces ( mind you they been popping off even when I was paying ) which should be noted.) However, I had a disappointing experience recently when my son went in to have his wire removed. It turned out to be the office's administrative week, and almost everyone was out except for one assistant. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes, and the appointment was rushed. The next morning, we had to wait another 30 minutes for the removable retainer, which caused us to shuffle our other plans. I understand that scheduling can be challenging, but it would have been very helpful if the office had informed us in advance that it was their administrative week and the doctor was not on site.
