I of course got on Yelp to start looking. First Dental had the best Yelp score & I most of the time I go to Yelp before trying new places. The staff at First Dental was great! They were very clear with the treatment plan that we needed & even helped break up the payments & visits on dates that helped me get the most coverage from our insurance. My Daughter's teeth look beautiful and she smiles so much now. She told me she used to be too embarrassed to smile because of her teeth. So thank you First Dental for making our daughter so comfortable & confident! And I loved using the massage chair in the waiting area while she was having her treatments! My son recently had a terrible experience where they messed up the filling and after a 3 hour event, they made him come back later and he was in terrible pain for almost a week. I recently had 3 old fillings replaced with new fillings. I was also in pain for days and the work was no where near the quality of the original Dr. Lukin for several reasons. Here's the straw that broke the camel's back. I will no longer be a customer. I have a teeth cleaning appointment in 4 days from now, and they sent me a text message asking me to confirm the appointment yesterday. I didn't respond in 24 hours and they cancelled my appointment for 4 days from now. Ugh. They seem to have too much business and don't seem to care if they run some of it off.

So they give you a rough estimate in the beginning. And the ladies are pretty nice at front desk so you get lured in pretty quick, but afterwards be ready to pay out of pocket. And if you don't, they send you to the Collection Agency. I visited here for few tiny small fillings. I requested to see Tamara Osina since I figured she has most experience out of all. Going in, I was told that I'll be paying around $500 out of pocket and rest is all covered by insurance. Pretty standard and I had appreciated their upfront honesty for out of pocket. Procedure done, and I go home after paying the $500+ Two weeks later, I had to come back in because my teeth were grinding due to her fillings composite, so she had to sand it down. Another two weeks later, I get a letter in mail to pay extra $262 from original procedure, I called them and inquired. Nothing they can do, even though I paid over $500 already out of pocket for the procedure, now it's going to be close to $800 out of pocket basically. A week later I called again because now my teeth are hurting badly due to pain whenever I eat or drink something cold or hot. I NEVER had this issue before. Well, I go back in and turns out she hit one of my nerves during fillings procedure (so much for most experience dentist). Then she said I need to go see a specialist because they cannot do root canal in this office. So wait: First you charge me over $500 out of pocket for small fillings, then hit my nerve during procedure, put too much composite to where my teeth are grinding, then send me a bill for $262 extra, then send it to collection agency, and tell me to go get a root canal from a different specialist at a different facility? Seriously? I mean really? I went in perfectly fine without any pain ever in my life, came back with damaged nerve, composite grinding, and needing root canal which means my tooth will now be broken. Their first estimate was so high I declined but then they went back and gave me new estimate which was only around $600 out of picked with my insurance covering the remaining 2000+. After the surgery they sent me a new bi which was an additional $1100 out of pocket. When I looked at the bill, they used different codes than insurance covered and also jacked up their cost compared to their actual cost. I called today and spoke with a young lady who really didn't care and sounded like she was reading from a script and just defended the billing and kept saying she wasn't there at the time and everything was billed to insurance properly. So disappointed - I had been looking for a dentist since Dr. Linney retired.
