The hygienist, Martin is very efficient and I appreciate his gentle approach to my semi-annual cleanings. Both Dr. Hua and Dr. Nguyen have great bedside manners. I didnt wait even 5 minutes and I was escorted to take my first set of xrays. I got to my room and Victoria asked me what I wanted to watch on tv. I was cold and she went and got a blanket for me. Wow! This is top of the line dentistry and customer service. Dr. Angie came in and gave me a consult of my teeth and then the hygienist, Jenny came for my cleaning. Instead of receiving care, I spent over an hour being presented with an expensive treatment plan, including being told I need crowns instead of fillings, which contradicts a recent evaluation from another reputable dentist. The dentist was polite on the surface, but it felt very clear that the focus was on selling higher-cost procedures rather than providing basic care. Refusing a standard cleaning unless I upgrade services is a major red flag. This felt more like a sales office than a dental practice. UPDATE: The dentist did follow up with me after my visit to apologize and invited me to return. However, my initial experience still left me uncomfortable with the level of communication and care provided.

Before I even got back to the room, they wanted me to take a bunch of x-rays while standing up. I refused and said I wanted to speak to the Dentist first. He would not accept x-rays from another dentist. I told him upfront That I was sensitive to unnecessary x-rays due to a history of thyroid cancer. I was OK with necessary ones. Then he told me that he did not want to help me as a patient. He suggested I go see a specialist. I was previously told that he was the specialist for implants. His response was no I'm just a General Dentist. And I told him I still needed a General Dentist as well - he did not want to take me as a routine dentistry patient either. As I was leaving the front desk told me they would be submitting a claim to Delta dental when I asked what for?? I was told well he 'kind of' gave you a consultation. Kind of who bills for kind of services?? I called Delta dental and told them what had happened, and was advised that this was not a consultation she'd never heard of something like this before.

She does not know how to get in between both sides of the teeth to get to the gum lines when she flosses for you. Compared to my previous dentist office, this hygienist is awful. My husband has had the same experience with her as well. She needs to be properly trained.

My wife went in for a cleaning and they recommended root canal while our prior dentist just recommended a filling was all necessary. I went in few weeks later and they couldn't find anything wrong with my teeth, so they recommend deep cleanings, not just one session but two sessions. Which out of pocket will cost close to $300 dollars for something normally my insurance will cover for the standard cleaning. To add insult to injury to patients time, I have to come back for the deep cleaning, they don't have time. Anyhow, I scheduled a followed up with my regular dentist and they did a traditional cleaning without any additional cost and confirm Comfort Dental recommendations were just not needed.
