I took it to my mechanic and the timing chain was broken. After putting $1200 into it, the mechanic said it still isn't going to last over a year. I'm aware that PT Cruisers aren't the best cars for reliability, however Peter (the owner of Motion Motors) assured me that it was in perfect shape. In his defense, when I confronted him about this problem he did pay half for the repairs (after extensive bargaining). My advice is to get the vehicle inspected thoroughly before buying. P.S. Every mechanic I asked told me that Peter has an absolutely terrible reputation for his services. 6/6 mechanics would NEVER recommend Motion Motors.

For a guy who claims to rebuild ICBC write-offs, he should be more careful with the vehicles he…read moreputs back together. Initially Mike was easy to deal with and was reasonable. I bought one of his vehicles and discovered that the car was missing several bolts, not that big a deal they are easy to replace. After about 3 months there were issues with the car. The new clutch he insisted that was installed was put in loose, one of the bolts was half out. I burn't out a brand new clutch in 4 months... But this isn't the big story, the big story was the drive axle that had been rebuilt by his mechanic was put together wrong and could have flown apart at any time, potentially causing an accident. After discussing this with him and asked him what he would like to do he got gutter-able with me and I won't repeat what he said but it wasn't pleasant. I would not buy another vehicle from or recommend anyone to buy one from this guy. Vehicles that are written off from ICBC are subjected to inspections but I believe that this guy has found ways around them and I hope that no one is willing to put their family at risk by trusting this guy.
