My second visit here need not disappoint. When I thought there was nothing to improve, the owner made this visit even more memorable. He still kept the personal visit while making sure every table was well tended to. I tried the short rib special and I don't think I'll ever a better short rib anywhere (and I do order short rib quite ofren). I'll be sure to continue to come and support Nonchalance both in and out of season.

Nice little restaurant in a small strip mall. Nice ambiance, but very noisy. Owners and staff very friendly. Limited menu, but decent variety. Longer wine list than I would have expected and at reasonable prices. Food prices were also very reasonable. But, be prepared to wait and wait and wait for your food . Ours took over thirty minutes to arrive . Two of us had fish and chips. The fish was cod and delivered piping hot. The crust of panko and flour was crispy as it should be. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside...perfect. The tarter sauce had a spring of fresh dill that really brought it to life. My wife had chicken pot pie. She said it was tasty, but the bread topping was brittle, somewhat confusing the presentation. So when you come, pretend you're in Europe and just enjoy the company of others and forget about the long wait...

Another amazing wine dinner here, with Montepulciano winery owner Alessio Antonini. The evening was joyful, surprising and very satisfying! porchetta skin= meat candy, the cacio e ove was fluffy, the cioppino redemptive. This place is inspired, playful and comforting!

What an enjoyable little spot! The decor is cute and funky, welcoming and fun. Prices are very reasonable. They have an extensive wine menu. I tried the dank nug sandwich and my friend had the Ross and Rachel. The nugs were plentiful and seasoned really well, and the nonchalance sauce was delicious. Everything was very fresh and made to order. Service was a little slow but it wasn't a big deal as we weren't in a rush. We were not offered dessert and the checks were dropped before I was finished eating - not huge deals, I think they are still working some things out. Definitely make a reservation as they are small and busy!! We both greatly enjoyed our food and want to return to try more items. Be sure to stop in and give this hidden gem a try!

The food was full of robust flavors. The flavor combinations were divine & creative. The service was excellent. Although we did not have reservations they still seated us, that alone should give you an idea of the level of service!

All I had was some rolls. They were decent, but not mind blowing. The environment/decor was weird. Service was good. Everything took a long time, but you have to expect that with the whole place being run by two people (not a complaint). I'd recommend at least checking it out, but make sure you're not in a hurry and reservations may be a good idea, as it is a small space.

Was a great evening! There were six of us plus a toddler. All range of tastes. We ordered a lot of different things - from apps to dessert - and they were all excellent! The wine list was good as well. Good food and friendly, interesting people. Definitely will be back and recommend.

i thought it would be a hidden gem, or a diamond in the ROUGH, but let me tell you... it was ROUGH. we got the fattest fries ever and we wanted thin fries. the DANK NUGGS were mediocre. the blind date i attended was SUPERIOR so i was expecting the food to match the standards there were some small children staring at us while we waited for the restroom (the stares came from inside the one person restroom while the other small child was completing the urination process) where someone HID THE TP!!! the pasta was drier than my last relationship (NJB bob does not adore you) although we learned a valuable lesson on deceiving others... i feel personally violated since a homeless male individual was staring at my blind date and her perfect daughter during the entirety of the encounter my date complained that the TP (toilet paper) was to hard to find, so she didn't wipe (led to issues during our private dive) nonchalances did not provide for my need of horCHaTa. i enjoyed my dining experience, and when i was swimming in an aquarium in japan, a shark stole my panties, leaving me afraid and exposed. the lighting in the bathroom was good.

Great service, wonderful food, friendly owners, unique dishes, easy to get to. I'll be back soon!

    Chicken pot pie

My bud and I chose this place for our catch-up lunch because it's new and we love fun, indie restaurants. It's owned and run by a young couple who are sweet, but more importantly with a taste for the gourmet. The specials and other menu items sounded intriguing, but we went with the O.G. fish and chips. Their fries are amazing, made through a special formula that makes them light and crispy. When we spotted the chicken pot pie, we vowed to try that next--it's a masterpiece, and the lady who ordered the one in the photo said it was delicious. You can see that they care about the presentation as well. This couple knows their wines, too, and there was plenty of selection. The atmosphere in this small place is a bit gothic-art, but that's what makes it different and fun. We'll be back!

This is my favorite local restaurant. They are a true family restaurant run by an experienced chef/sommelier couple and their awesome kids. They put a lot of thought and care into their food and extensive wine list. Ask for a recommended pairing (or better yet a flight). Reservations recommended. And this is a great place to relax and enjoy your time.

It can get quite busy, so be sure to make a reservation and savor the excellent ambiance and cuisine.

I'm not very familiar with German food so I can't say anything to authenticity, but as for taste, nothing special or particularly memorable about it, nothing to write home about in my opinion. Our server, Judy, was wonderful though. Very very sweet and attentive, took good care of us HOWEVER, all that said, the real reason we'll never go back is because of the OWNER (never caught her name). We came with 5 people and one of my friends chooses to wear a mask when she is out in public for personal health related reasons, but not that it should matter anyway. The owner came up to the table and says she "really does not tolerate masks in the restaurant" and she refused to serve my friend unless she removed her mask. She wasn't even polite about it, she was very rude. This was all after we all ordered too, so my friend and her boyfriend had to leave and we all should have left but didn't want to leave poor Judy . Judy was so sweet, she even came to the table afterwards to apologize on behalf of the owner. This was just so absurd and we couldn't believe the owner of the restaurant behaved this way.

There is street parking and a small private parking lot. I highly recommend reservations on the Resy app about 1-2 weeks in advance, as the restaurant is busy in winter. FOOD: You can choose between a la carte or the Prix Fixe menu. The Prix Fixe is a small-portioned three-course (bite, appetizer, and entrée) menu featuring some of our signature dishes. The Prix Fixe experience begins at $58 per person (there are additional add-ons) for dine-in only. 1. Waterzooi Soup (3/5; Red Farms chicken | caramelized leeks | carrots | local cream | focaccia toast | parsley emulsion | carrot purée): This is a Belgian soup. The serving size of the soup in the prix fixe was relatively small. The presentation was nice, and the chicken soup was a nice winter dish. The chicken broth was savory but at room temperature. 2. Autumn Salad (2/5; mixed artisanal greens | brûléed bucheron cheese | radicchio | toasted French walnuts | red grapes | fig balsamic vinaigrette): I felt like something was lacking from this seasonal autumn salad. It's OK for me, as I mostly ate the bucheron cheese with the grapes and walnuts. 3. Filet Mignon (4/5; seared | maître d'hôtel butter | red wine jus | truffle potato purée | asparagus (additions: sauce Choron, seared foie gras, Maine lobster tail, local exotic Petrichor mushrooms): It was cooked perfectly. This is a staple in the menu. I did not add any of the additionals. The service was great. Our water and drinks did not touch the bottom. The server came around often to check in and give his recommendations. If you want to do order pick up, it is available Tuesday-Saturday between 5 - 8 PM. Would I come back? Yes. I want to try other items on the menu.
