If you grew up anywhere near a NY corner pizza spot, walking into Uncle Rico's Pizza is like getting smacked with nostalgia. First off, the vibe? You step in and it's straight outta the boroughs. You got the cabbage patch kidz references, a Do the Right Thing poster watching over everythin', and a Goodfellas poster basically telling you, "you made it". Then you hear freestyle playing in the background--yeah, not that watered-down playlist either... real ones. It felt like "Silent Morning" and "Scars of Love" and "Bad of The Heart" took me into an instant time machine. Then we get to the pizza.....the main thing that matters. You can order by the slice (as God intended), and yes, it comes well done. If you know, you know. That slight crisp? That little extra char? That's how it's supposed to be. The pepperoni? Those small cup joints that crisp up.....Perfect. Then operation behind the counter? Beautiful chaos. You order, pay and find a seat. Warning, the place is super small, but man o man. I love it! Family running the register, everybody else in the back making dough, sliding pies, yelling orders. No corporate nonsense, no fake smiles. Just real people making real pizza. The menu had me smiling. Beef patties with cheese???? Sitting there like a hidden gem. That's when I knew....Yeah... they understand the assignment. Only thing missing? Somebody in the corner scooping Italian ices and that classic fruit juice dispenser. You add that, and I swear you'd think you were in NYC. I heard they might be remodeling and expanding, and good for them. But I'll tell you this, the small, tight, setup they've got right now? That's the magic. That's the "lemme get a slice real quick" energy you don't mess with. Just know I got two go-to spots in Southwest Florida now. Uncle Rico's??? Yeah... they're official.

Just love this old school pizza shop best I've found in the area . Always busy when I go. Lot of Happy Customers always.

A slice of Burrata and an Angry Uncle. PIZZA PERFECTION.

I don't remember my last review, and I have been to Uncle Rico's a few times. The Sandwich I had, chicken vodka parm was just amazing. but today I grabbed two slices of pizza. One Burrata and one Angry Uncle. As a kid who grew up in NY, a good slice was easy to find. Dripping with orange oil. As the years passed, you knew which places were good and which to avoid. As we grew older those good places were harder to find, then we moved to Florida. Took years to find some good pizza (of all kinds) out there. A few months before we moved to the left coast, we heard of this mythical pizza place in Fort Myers. FORT MYERS PIZZA? how could this be? I had in the past had DHOP, a very good pie by the way. There's something artisan about Uncle Rico's. Today's slices got me to stop what I needed to do and write this update. As good as it's been in the past, today it was truly stellar.

Excellent pizza! First time taste experience. Not one to pass up- as so many have praised Rico's that I was compelled to make the journey across the Caloosahatchee to sample greatness. Worthy. Missing Cape Coral's Leone's unfortunate conclusion, I will have to reroute my travels to find culinary delight. We ordered an eggplant parmigiana hero- soso with lots of cheese. Internal temperature was edible but not hot; flavors were cheesy dominant but the hoagie roll was too much. Our Main course was yet to come, and didn't disappoint. Half Magheretta and half house favorite (one size only) 16" it was hot, balanced with enough olive oil flavor to remind one that this pizza is Italian. The after taste was phenomenal. No scorch, no dominating pepperoni (just enough) with sausage and veggies - just right. Pricing is fair and the staff delivered promptly. With only 4 tables inside there is an endless constant flow of grateful clientele. Come hungry but take it home to enjoy with your favorite adult beverage. Coke products don't cut it.

Solid pizza. Crust is extremely crispy. Small interior with a few tables. Mostly a grab and go set up.

We were on our way to Trader Joe's around 4 in the afternoon when Dave said let's try Uncle Rico's. The restaurant is tiny and located in an unremarkable strip mall on 41. But Uncle Rico's Pizza is Remarkable! Dave ordered me an eggplant parmigiana sandwich which turned out to be huge and enough to share. He then ordered a half special house pizza and half margarita. He likes lots of toppings and meats and I prefer something more traditional. In any case it was very good and we had more than half to bring home. The crust was delicious, thin and crispy. The sauce and toppings were plentiful and left a pleasant taste in your mouth!-as Dave put it. The inside of the restaurant is tiny and there are two tables outside. The parking lot is bustling with cars and people coming in and out. There seems to be a large take out crowd picking up their delicious pizzas! We're so happy and agree that Uncle Rico's Pizza is top notch!

FINALLY found an amazing pizza joint...great for take out (limited dining). Hard so much about this place has to try. The pizza crust is delicious too! We got exactly what we ordered. Fast friendly service and convenient location off Cleveland!

This place is a hidden gem in Fort Myers! Great New York style pizza and just overall delicious. We love the angry burrata pizza with hot honey and substitute the pepperoni for chicken. The crust is crispy but soft and their tomato sauce is delicious! It is a small place with very limited seating but the pizza is just so good. Not sure if it's a family run business but feels that way. Friendly staff with good service. If you come during dinner time, it can definitely get busy with a long wait.

This is my second time, first time I got the angry burrata square pizza which was to die for , so had to try again. This time we got half and half angry burrata and white pizza. Tried the angry burrata first, the crust was perfect , no flop, perfect amount of cheese, and the toppings were superior! The white pizza was really good but after the angry burrata , it didn't compare. We went about 530, it was busy but pizza came out in 20 mins right out of the oven. Love the old school pizzeria feel, not a lot of seating but seems mostly carry out. In my opinion , best pizza in southwest Florida!

Nestled in a small strip mall is a true treasure. Its destiny area is very limited actually very small. My hubby and I had planned to eat inside but all tables were taken so we opted for take out instead. It was a standing room only with people waiting for orders inside the building as well as outside. We had read an article on this local tucked away secret gem. Therefore we just had to go check this place out. Lovr the simplicity of this family business along with the unique decore.from vintage photos mugshots of famous people. Frank Sinatra and Jimi Hendrixinclifrd with a pic of Kramer from Seinfeld and numerous others. The kitchen was a busy hive watching pizzz quickly being slinged in an out of ovens, cut and served in timely fashion. Each pie a superb culinary creation that satisfied the tastebuds of even the most discriminatory connoisseur. Their menu includes a variety of appetizers, salads unique subs and sandwiches along with very inviting cannoli. We shall return for sure.

The pizza was excellent great crust, quality toppings, the kind of pie that reminds you why you came here in the first place. And the Tribute? Smooth, easy drinking, perfect pairing for a pizza night done right. Service was solid, no complaints there. Friendly, attentive, got the job done. But. That pizza took its sweet time coming out. We're not talking a little wait we're talking enough time to really get acquainted with that bottle of wine. Look, good pizza takes time, I get it. But when you're hungry and staring at an empty table, every minute feels like ten. And then there's the thing I can't unsee. Watched one of the staff folding pizza boxes, and she dropped one on the floor. Picked it up. Folded it. Put it right back in the stack like nothing happened. Now, maybe that box never holds anyone's pizza. Maybe it gets tossed later. But from where I was sitting? Suspect. That's the kind of thing that sticks with you. The Verdict: The Don pizza is excellent, the wine selection is on point, and the service is perfectly fine. But the long wait and that questionable box situation keep this one at four stars. Grimaldi's, we love your pizza just tighten up the details.

They have cute pics on the wall. We enjoyed the atmosphere. It was not busy at 5:00 pm on the Saturday after Christmas. However, our server Emily said they had a large lunch rush and that they have been steadily busy since opening July 2025. We also love wings, so we ordered 10 lightly tossed with hot sauce. Like other reviews, I can confirm that the wings are large, juicy and meaty. The hot sauce wasn't terribly hot and had a bit of a sweet taste to it. The accompanying ranch dressing tasted home made. Our pizza was a meat lovers with extra cheese. Toppings included Sausage, Pepperoni and Bacon. It was very meaty. But, the best part of this thin crust pizza is that their crust is crispy, which we love after living in St. Louis for many years. In fact, if they used provel cheese vs mozzarella, it could stand in for a St, Louis style pizza. Very tasty, we loved it. Emily was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We met the owner who is the cook and she was also very friendly. We loved the signed bills on the wall, so we added one of our own. We will look for it during our next visit.
