So hands down my favorite breakfast spot in Melissa and I'm not entirely always a breakfast fan. I'm still waiting on them to get their espresso machine, but the food here is great. I love that they have Venezuelan menu options as well. I recently tried their cachapas with fried pork and it was amazing. It's like a really great sweet corn pancake with cheese in the middle. And the pork was cooked and seasoned nicely. Definitely try this place out.

They are so rude. Customer service is horrible. They don't listen. For example, told them the coffe is really strong can you switch it and she looked at me and said okay and didn't do anything. I ordered the avocado toast and they put sour cream and asked her to please remake it without sour cream and she got so upset. Not coming again.

We stopped on our way to Oklahoma for breakfast. Upon entering this charming space, the staff is warm and welcoming, that falls short to the amazing food they make. Their menu; including their weekly special is a true restatement to the region / country where it comes from. Such as the sweet corn patty filled with delicious salty cheese known as Chapapas Venezolanas, the ever delicious Birria Tacos & chilaquiles which often tends to be saggy were crisp, tasty & out of this world. This place is worth driving from Prosper anytime of the day.

    Friends enjoying brunch

The food was delicious. The menu had a lot of choices and some unique fun choices. The food has a Venezuelan influence. I had eggs, hash browns, avocado toast w crumbled cheese and optional tajin. My friend had a big sweet corn pancake w Venezuelan cheese inside. We will come back w our husbands. They are open 3 nights a week for dinner in addition to their daytime hours. Also, our server was so kind and helpful.

New hidden gem in Melissa. Great place, great food, great service both times we've been there. Kudos!

Tried a new spot in Melissa, went early and there was no wait. Cute interior! Everything was good. Service was attentive, food was quick. Normal breakfast.

Plus the are one of the few brunch places that have Diet Coke which is a big win for him. We both get the traditional breakfast (mine-fried egg, chicken apple sausage & mixed berries. The menu may look the same, but the quality and preparation of items have changed. For example, the crab cake Benedict used to feature homemade crab cakes, and now it's a fried frozen-style patty. The one-star review is really based on the service experience, and unfortunately it's the reason we won't be returning. While waiting for our table, the manager or possible owner was telling single-party guests there was a 30-minute wait, while parties of three or more were being quoted only 10 minutes. An older woman standing there heard him tell the group in front of her 10 minutes right before he told her 30. The more I thought about it afterward, the more disappointed I was that I didn't speak up in the moment. Treating guests differently based solely on party size is unacceptable and left a very bad impression.

Sunview Cafe Anna TX - Beware Their Online Ordering They Will Scam You…read more We placed an order for delivery on their website on 12/16/25. The website accepted the order and sent a confirmation from them that the order was received, accepted, and that my credit card was being charged. The order was then sent by them to Door Dash for delivery. No Dasher was ever assigned and the order was never received. After an hour and a half we called the restaurant to inquire about the situation. We were then tasked with dealing with an extremely rude woman who first stated that they were closed at the time (not true), then said they never received and accepted the order (again not true). When we countered that we had received a confirmation from them she changed the story to we weren't accepting orders at that time (third lie). When we disputed this and again stated that we had received a confirmation and that we were charged for the order she started trying to blame Door Dash. We explained that we did not place the order through Door Dash, we placed it through them directly, and as such they were the responsible party. Rather than just dealing with the situation in a polite and reasonable manner she just continued to argue that they had no culpability in the matter whatsoever. I don't know if the food is any good here, and I never will because they will never again get an order from me for delivery, pickup, or dine in. I don't think that is a problem though because if the food is anything like the service it would be a huge disappointment anyway.

I will say, along with the food being great we keep coming back because not only is the owner great but she has one amazing server-Christina! ASK FOR CHRISTINIA! She is truly amazing. The only thing I wasn't happy with about the other service was when I came in (8 months pregnant) with 2 young boys on my hand, I asked for a table while waiting on my husband to park the car. The hostess told me everyone needed to be there so I needed to wait in the waiting area. I could definitely understand if it was packed but this day it wasn't & there were more than enough empty tables. Being that far along in pregnancy you just want to sit down comfortably & just start sipping on something cold to drink while you're waiting anywhere. I understand places have rules but sometimes just being purely human & having care for a situation matters more.

The place has the feel of a vintage café -- the kind that might have been around in the 60s or 70s -- with a warm, nostalgic atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and stay for awhile. We were greeted right away and seated quickly. The menu offered plenty of classic comfort dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. The strawberry cake is a must have - if sweets are your thing. And most deserts are made in house. The service was friendly, and the overall vibe felt genuine and welcoming. We left full and happy, already talking about what we'll try next time. If you're in downtown McKinney, Spoons Café is definitely worth a stop.
