A half order of lunch nachos had to be redone from bean and cheese to chicken fajita nachos. When the order finally came back for my husband, I was done eating my meal. The nachos came back burnt and cold. When he said they were cold, the waitress said enjoy. Another person came back and too the nachos to be heated up. We waited very patiently for the bill and even though it wasn't enjoyable and hardly edible- we paid full price and was ignored the remainder of the visit. Came here twice in a week. The first time at dinner and shared the queso flambiado. Two of us shared it and was full, in conjunction with the complimentary chips and salsa. I thought it needed more cheese. The second time was at lunch. I had a combo with tamale and enchilada. It was good. I like their chips and salsa. The salsa is thin and spicy. read more

Worse fish tacos ever! They chopped my fish like I'm a baby. They provided lettuce and tomato instead of cabbage and when I asked for pickled jalapeño's and onions I was told I had to pay for them. That is a side item in any good Mexican restaurant. I provided one star because the beans were flavorful. Never eating there again. I had to dress up my food with condiments of my own. From the time we walked in to the time we left it was a horrible experience. As soon as my family of three walked in the door we were just told "corner booth" and pointed in the right direction. Our server then came to the table with no greeting and just asked us what we wanted. And needless to say nothing changed on the service side. I wish I could tell you the servers name but she never introduced herself. The ambiance was sub par to say the least. No music playing; only plates clashing and servers whistling, and playing cards in a nearby booth and yelling "hell yeah!". Cleanliness was also an issue especially the restroom. We ordered guacamole as an appetizer (I thought would be a safe choice) and it was just store bought guacamole that had been sitting out for too long and starting to turn brown. For lunch we ordered combo fajitas. The meat was rubbery and the onion and bell peppers were all black from being overcooked. My boy ordered kids chicken quesadillas and didn't touch them and honestly I didn't blame him. Overall I would have had a more enjoyable experience lighting a $50 bill on fire. read more

Food wasn't terrible but nothing I couldn't make at home for a lot cheaper. Literally nothing special about it, queso tasted old and like it was store bought, the cheese on my quesadilla wasn't even fully melted, the only thing that I genuinely enjoyed was the chips and salsa. Server was terrible and at one point yelled across the room at us. She also tried to charge us for an extra drink when we had only ordered water and when confronted she got defensive and ran to change it really quick. The food has always been good to great . I wish I knew Spanish because the waitstaff is predominantly Spanish but that's just the way it is in the South! They are gracious and always willing to help me out! Generous portions that are far better than fast food and I'm willing to help out local businesses to make sure they stay open too ! Never go to this place. The food came out cold. The owner does not care about anything including the customers. It goes from bad to worse. The bad service, another increase in price, and lower quality in food leaves much to be desired. The bathrooms are filthy, the floor is covered in grease, it is so bad you can barely walk on the floor. The restroom lack paper products, and the air dryer barely works. We pass this restaurant all the time and decided to give it a go. It's interior is like most Mexican restaurants; the service was good, but our waitress was not friendly at all. (Hopefully she was just having a bad day) the food comes out with huge portions and taste pretty good overall. They have a very large menu offering pasta and burgers. What a nice local gem Las Rocas is. On Friday nights, a mariachi duo go around and serenades the restaurant floor. What a great touch! The interior instantly transports you to Mexico City. From the rickety tables to the 18th century finish on the walls and floors, this is as authentic as you can get for North Texas. The chips and salsa are great, yellow queso dip as well. We ordered the fajitas for two...and woah. SUPER DUPER DELICIOUS! My word!! The cook and seasoning was on point. We'll definitely be back. We planned to go to a bbq place but they were closed already so we went here. The food is decent. The service is great. The chips are good and fresh. The salsa is hot but not too hot and has small-ish chunks. Just the way I prefer! The queso is thin and tasty-ish. The nachos were good. The enchiladas were tasty. I had the brisket tacos. They toast the corn tortilla which Ive not had before so it was good but different. The rice was a lite over done for our liking but was still good. The desserts were fantastic!!!! I'm not even going to rate Las Cucarachas because the service there is super terrible I order from here 2 times a week. I placed an order and there was an error instead of Las Cucarachas helping me the "OWNER REGINO "supposedly, hung up the phone on me 30 seconds after I placed the order. Then he passed the phone to an employee by the name of "STACY" who was extremely rude to me stating she doesn't care and hung the phone up on me. Tried to get some food to go and when I got home the box the food was in was broken on the side and food had poured out into the bag. I called and the female I spoke to was rude saying "we didn't break it" and after discussing with someone else said "just bring it back and well make you a new one"- she hung up on me without saying ok, or bye, or anything. I decided that with that and the fact that she(probably the same female) had brought my chips and salsa out to my car with no gloves or protection made me feel uncomfortable with getting another order especially since she clearly was not pleased when she hung up on me. Long story short, they tried to make me feel like I did something wrong when all I did was carry it into my house and open the bag. My order was $14 and I gave him $20.
