Loved the veggie pizza! I had the grilled chicken Italiano sandwich for the first time. It was good but wished there was a little more cheese on it and a few more roasted red peppers. I also thought the chicken could have been a little less done...it was a tad bit dry. The thing that I was kind of annoyed about (because I'm a ketchup snob) is that they serve their ketchup in Heinz bottles but it is definitely NOT Heinz ketchup. How can I tell...two reasons...the bottle was clearly refilled because there was some ketchup right under the ring of the lid and the ketchup they served is a very dark red where Heinz ketchup is a bright red. It also tastes different. I do not think Heinz would be happy knowing their packaging was housing alternative ketchup when Heinz is clearly superior to the others. read more

Although, the delivery was quick.. Hands down the worst pizza ever. Raw and undercooked meat lovers pizza and you can tell by the taste of the dough and texture. The garlic knots taste nothing like garlic and the marinera is nothing special and no flavor , unfortunately. I got myself a chicken steak due to dietary reasons and they give me a chicken cheese steak when I specifically picked a chicken steak from the options and not the chicken cheesesteak. The Italian wedding soup was the only decent thing from my order and the oyster crackers but even then the soup was definitely on the saltier side. I called to see if something could be done but I heard the Spanish in the background as the manager was talking to his employee to let him know he can do.. but I've worked in the food industry and you should put a customer on hold because I heard the whole convo considering I'm bilingual. Had the pleasure of trying their Italian entrees. We ordered the cheese bread, chicken parm and baked ziti. This is definitely not somewhere I'd ever dine in at, 100% a takeout kind of place. Everything seemed cramped and I only saw 1 table to eat at other than at a counter. A great no frills kind of place. Doesn't try to hide behind any smoke and mirror and give you generous portions. With our order we got back to the house with. The baked ziti was no where to be found but we got penne al la vodka. We were also missing the cheese bread, which was kindly replaced with 4 garlic knots (1/3 of a full order). To their credit when we found the issue with the cheese bread and called it in, they drove out the order of cheese bread to deliver right to my house. The issue with the food was SALT everything we ate was so salty that you're gonna want some water with you with this food. The hints of flavor that broke through the overwhelming prevalent flavor of salt were there! If they decrease their salt usage I would definitely say it's could be a solid staple and a strong benchmark for somewhere quick and enjoyable. read more

My second delivery from Nonna Rosa will probably be my last. As I said in my previous review, because the pizza fries had been good, I would give Nonna Rosa another try with a cheesesteak. Unfortunately it didn't really work out. I ordered a cheese steak with fried onions and pizza fries at 8:47 p.m. I was told to expect a 35 to 45 minute wait. After an hour, I called to check on my order. I was told it would be at my apartment momentarily. At 10:02 p.m., some 75 minutes later, I received lukewarm soggy Pizza fries and a cold cheesesteak. I probably should have just refused them, but having waited so long I was quite hungry. Unlike last time, when the pizza fries were great, this time they were very disappointing. Aside from being half-full, they were lukewarm and completely soggy. I'm talking spaghetti noodles soggy. They also did not taste nearly as good as the last time and were clearly previously frozen. The fries also lacked the nice spices they had previously. The cheesesteak, once reheated was actually very good. It had a nice beef flavor, the proper amount of cheese, and tasty grilled onions. Needless to say, after my previous experience and this ridiculous wait for cold food I will not be ordering from Nonna Rosa again anytime soon. read more

I have no complaints about the quality of Nonna Rosa's food. We've been somewhat regular customers since we moved here over 15 years ago. I DO, however, have several beefs about their partnership with SLICE, an online delivery service, and about their lack of website maintenance. Tonight's problems began with going to Nonna Rosa's website and being unable to look at their menu on their website; instead I was re-directed to Slice, where we ordered a 19.99 special of wings, a large pizza, and 2-liter soda. There was no place to add toppings (I expected a charge for the extra toppings, so the money wasn't the issue), nor to specify which flavor soda, so I clicked on the "Help" icon on the bottom left corner of the page. I was told to add the toppings in the "Instructions" box on the checkout page, which I did--please add bacon and sausage to the pizza, as well as diet soda (I'm diabetic). Slice further stated that they would add the additional charges if we did that. The order came promptly, but when we opened the box--no toppings, just plain cheese--and--regular Pepsi and not diet as requested. I checked my online banking to see if they actually charged me, and as far as I can tell they haven't charged me--yet--for the extra toppings that I requested but didn't receive. I should also note that the Nonna Rosa menu listed on Yelp lists what we ordered at 26,99. I would normally have called Nonna Rosa directly but they don't offer the same specials that SLICE does. I've been using Nonna Rosa for years for catering. I'm sorry to say I'm done with them. I ordered for 25 people the 7.99 pp and when we picked it up they added a dollar per person without calling me or telling me when I ordered that it was going to be more. It was what I always order from them and never had this happen, it's an item on their catering menu at 7.99pp. As I mentioned I've been using them for several years and have sent many people their way but that's done it's the principal. So I hope the $25 up charge was worth it to them. To many other places around to give them a second chance. read more

I order here on a regular basis and usually order the Grandma Square Pizza with pepperoni. It is consistently excellent. Pizza steaks are decent too. Owners and employees are always polite. One time it took over an hour for them too deliver. These people are outrageous. First of all, I have been one of their most loyal customers through grubhub, ordering once or twice a week for the past 4 months. I gave their food 5 star reviews CONSTANTLY, with almost ALL the orders. I gave 4 star reviews when they did something bad. But recently, management has taken a downturn. They just jacked the prices on Grubhub up SIGNIFICANTLY...like 2 dollars on standard items. So something that was 6 something is now 8. So I gave them a very bad review. Today, I ordered through grubhub. The order was CANCELLED and I got a nasty VM from a manager saying they would not serve me anymore because I dared to give them a bad review. What's next? Refusing to serve people because of their political affiliations? So lets get this straight: if you leave an ACCURATE review that happens to be negative, these people will retaliate. Who owns this place...the Nixon family? But the REAL problem is that they already took the money from my account...and it will take 5 days to refund. So now, I CAN'T AFFORD LUNCH!
