I stopped in for a late lunch after taking care of a license renewal at a nearby PennDOT facility. Walking in, there was an attractive dining area to the left with about a dozen tables, and the cashier and behind the counter operation to the right. I decided to take a seat, order a lunch special Tuna Wrap, and let the exhausting heat of the day carry on for a while without me. Service was cordial and attentive. My meal arrived within 5 minutes, and was substantial. Filled me completely with the small side of included onion rings. True, the tuna could have used a bit more sweetness from a mix of relish in the mayonnaised tuna, but it did have tomato, lettuce and onion in the wrap, so it pretty good, all in all. Couldn't complain about the price either at $10. Four Discount Lunch Stars is about right. read more

The pizza here might be good for the area but if you've lived in the mid-Atlantic states up north: AVOID. We're from Philly so we've had PA, NY, Jersey pizza and this is not it. Oh boy this is a toughy, this is one of the greats in this area as in pizza with the serious competition that goes on for that spot. Great flavor with every bite, and the dough along with that crust is tops. Has that nice smokey not too charred burned taste, just right in my opinion. I have such a soft spot for Rocco's! I have many memories of good food and good times at their Collegeville location. I've been living in Conshohocken for years, and one day my roommate tells me he's been holding out on me and there's a Rocco's location about two miles from me! And we are in their delivery range as well! Haven't tried that yet though, so no review there. I did finally drive by on a random weekday and decided to pick up a late lunch. Their lunch specials are awesome! There was over a half dozen lunch specials - lots of sandwiches and pastas for pre-millenium prices. I went for a lunch special that's actually on their regular menu. Think it's called Pasta alla Rocco - bowtie pasta with chicken in a creamy rosa sauce. On their regular menu it also has sausage and shrimp for about 12 bucks. The lunch special just had chicken and it was like 7 bucks? It was also not a problem to switch out the pasta because I turn my nose up at bowtie. Take a look at the picture I posted, the portion size was humongous. Just as importantly, it tasted good as well. I've always thought their strength was actually in their pastas and hot sandwiches. Their pizzas are okay, but not my favorite. This location sells a pretty decent selection of beers, but it's for takeout only. Because of this, I'm not sure if they are BYOB? The collegeville location is though, so maybe. Rocco's is pretty well frequented on our rotation of lunch spots for my coworkers and I. It's a pizza place but I have to rate them a lot higher on the scale of other pizza places because of the brick oven but also because of the variety of pizza selections. They have everything from BBQ chicken, to taco, to Mediterranean, you name it! If you've dreamed of putting something on a slice of pizza, they probably have it! The size of the slice is very sizable, after one slice you would be more full than at a regular pizza place. Still we usually order two slice each!! Service is quick and after you order and sit down, the food is brought to you, with a member of the wait staff checking in on you periodically. Not as much as a sit down restaurant but more than a fast food place. So we always tip our server. It's great because even when it's crowded on a weekday during lunch, they always seem to be able to find your table with your exact order!! Speaking of it getting crowded, it's better to try to arrive before noon so you'll be able to get a table if you're staying to eat. Parking is ok, we never bother to try finding parking right in the front of the restaurant. We just go to the additional parking in the back lot. One more thing to note- they sell beer for take out. Last minute takeout order for Friday evening in. We ordered wings and the seafood ciopino. The wings were the BEST that I've had in a long time! They were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The seafood cioppino I always ordered with the garlic oil sauce rather than red sauce. Can I say delicious as well!
