I will always get the spicy peanut noodles. It was very saucy this time, which I'm a fan of. I hate when I don't get enough sauce! I like that they packaged it in a to-go container so all I had to do was ask for a lid. I'd for sure go here again and get the same thing! We have been fans of Noodlebox for about 10 years when we discovered it on West 4th Ave in Vancouver! We would drive into town from Maple Ridge just for Noodlebox!! So when we heard there was going to be one opening in Abbotsford we were thrilled. Sadly we were disappointed... To start, there was no sauce, just dry noodles and veggies...I took that first dish up to counter and was told the noodles absorb all the liquid...I will mention again that I have had this same dish for about 10 years at several other locations and the dish has always been made in same consistent way...with sauce! They made me a second dish and said they added extra sauce...nope, it was still bitter and dry... I wanted to just leave the entire dish there and provide feedback but my spouse is very low key and didn't want any attention so we "packed it up to go" and said we were not as hungry as we thought and just threw it in the garbage now when we got home...we won't go back! If you are a fan of Noodlebox in the past, save yourself time & money and don't go to Abbotsford location!! What we figured out is they skip the coconut milk and seem to make it with some bitter curry...there is no smoothness or hint of sweetness that coconut milk provides but instead, too much "heat" and bitterness of the curry they use comes through. It's too bad because we really were looking forward to the convenience of the Abbotsford location but we won't be back ***update*** Emailed their head office to let them know they may need to provide some additional cooking/ training and email back was to say although the dish was off, they are happy we had good customer service. ?????? Had lunch here and ordered a side of Ginger beef gyoza. 3 for $5. Popped one in my mouth and it was a mistake. Doughy under cooked with a really weird flavour. The wife tried a bite and thought they might be spoiled. The counter guy comes over to ask how everything was, I let him know that they are really bad. The cook should try one because that not a good dish. The guy shrugs at me and says it's the least popular item on the menu because of the way they cook them. My wife really likes the menu so they got 2 stars. This was my third and last time. read more

I ordered through skip the dishes a delivery. Noodlebox didn't read the order, forgot half the order and....didn't give the delivery driver directions. Fail, fail, fail. Skip the dishes was quick to respond but it takes 3 - 5 business days to refund money. Skip the dishes was cool but this restaurant failed. read more

We went as a family to this place for the first time a couple weekends ago. We were excited because it is brand new and we like supporting smaller businesses rather than big chains. Sadly we were disappointed. Our adult daughter ordered the Bombay Mac & Cheese Box. It was tasty but at $13 a little pricey for what was provided. I ordered the Singapore Cashew Curry Box adding chicken as an additional item. This came to $13 or so and was of value. However, be wary of the "heat" level of the sauce you choose. I chose mild and the meal was much hotter than what mild is considered to be personally and in other restaurants I have eaten. And the big problem was my wife and her Thai Style Chow Mein Box. It can be described in two words: bland; dry. The food itself wasn't the biggest problem however. The person who looked like he might have been the manager was very unhelpful when my wife wanted to discuss her meal. He made excuses for the lack of taste and moisture. When requesting that the kitchen add some flavourful sauce he balked and stated it wouldn't help and it would change the taste. My wife requested a different meal and the "manager" stated if she wanted a different meal she would have to pay for it. Yeah, that is not how restaurants who want to satisfy their customers operate. Finally he relented and took my suggestion of coconut cream and curry blended into the dish as a compromise. It helped a little. The next day I had to blend her leftovers with mine and fix them into something that was actually quite delicious. The environment isn't conducive to a good meal. The chairs are uncomfortable and the place is very noisy. We considered giving the place another shot by trying the sandwich side of the restaurant with an open mind. But on the way out we saw one of the sandwich makers with a hairy beard and no protective netting over it leaning close to the meat and both said forget it. I'm sticking with Wok Box. The food is tasty and the people are very nice. read more

Oh my god this place is f**k*d up. I ordered a mild ginger beef and every bite was like i was getting pepper sprayed it was an extra spicy for sure. every piece of unchewable beef was crusted with hot chili peppers when i opened the box my eyes watered and it took my breath away and i eat extremely spicy foods all the time im not a newb. Something went wrong the whole bowl glowed red from all the chili flakes. Couldnt even eat half and it was overly priced to begin with. This is my second bad experience at noodle box. One of my favourite places to go in Abbotsford as it is consistent from one Noodlebox to the other. I wish they had more in Alberta as I try go there when in Whiterock or Abbotsford. Tried a couple of dishes there, Spicy Peanut, Pad Thai. I like my food spicy so was able to get it to my liking. Nothing better than deciding what one wants and ordering it for yourself. Totally recommend it to anyone that loves noodles. read more

I love the trendy fun atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The staff were very friendly, polite, fun and helpful with custom selections to make my meal the way I want. The whole meal was made fresh to order. I took it back to my office and the aroma went through the area and coworkers were asking where I got my lunch. I was visiting my family from the US and tried Noodle Box for the first time. This was the worst food/customer service that I have ever experienced in my entire life. I ended up throwing it in the garbage because it was inedible. I ordered the "pad thai" and it didn't even slightly resemble pad thai as evidenced by the photo. There was zero sauce, the noodles were undercooked, and the egg was in giant chunks. I did call the store to share this and the customer service was absolutely atrocious. At first they offered to refund me but then the owner changed their mind and said they won't refund. A good restaurant would refund the $15 because I have now told everyone about my awful experience and will never be going back here or to the other restaurant that they own. I am truly sickened by this establishment and I would highly recommend never going there. If they had given me good customer service I would not have written this review and can at least say that they treat their customers properly and value keeping or obtaining customers read more

I've really enjoyed the Spicy Peanut box in the past, but I hate (and I mean HATE) cilantro, so I always request no cilantro in my dish. We typically call ahead to order lunch pick up and eat back at our office. Three times now my stirfry has had cilantro in it. The last time, my colleague who called the order in was SUPER specific about saying "no cilantro. at all. no hint of cilantro anywhere in this dish" multiple times and I still received a box with cilantro in it. This actually happened two days in a row! I also request no bean sprouts and I've either gotten bean sprouts anyways or I can tell they were picked off after someone put them on by accident. Thankfully I'm not allergic to either of these things, but both (especially the cilantro) ruin a dish for me. Won't be back to Noodlebox for awhile until they can figure their kitchen out.... read more

I had the Kung Pao Chicken and my husband had the Pad Thai with Beef. There was very little in them except lots of noodles. There were almost no veggies in either of them. Even worse was that the chicken was not freshly cooked. It tasted stale like it had not been cooked the same day and was heated up. My husband said the same thing about the beef in his dish. Although the spice level in a restaurant can be a learning experience it was way too for us for a hot for mild \ medium heat. Even if it had been tasty this alone would have prevented us from eating the food. I had purchased a take-out pad thai with chicken at this location just after it had opened and although it was too heavy on the noodles the chicken had been freshly cooked. In addition the music was too loud for us so we tried sitting outside but it was even louder out there with a very poor sound system. We left without eating the food so it was a rather expensive mistake. We won't be back. read more

I unfortunately stopped at the Abbotsford location today for take out and I will never be returning. They seem to think they are running a night club at this location. Obnoxiously loud music greets you when you walk in the door, I had to yell my order to the very young male staff. The only other people in the building all appeared to be juvenile male friends of the staff. Five in total in the entire building. Party time. Due to the noise level and how uncomfortable I felt inside, I decided to wait out front, where the staff could clearly see me through the glass windows eight feet from their service counter. Well, I waited and waited and waited. Finally I decided I should check on my order. It was ready and sitting on the counter. For how long, I don't know. Staff were too busy hanging with their home boys to walk my order to the door, or knock on the window. Terrible customer service. I don't know what slim margin of the market they are hoping to appeal to, but surely anyone over 25 would not be impressed with their unprofessional and juvenile business model. I won't ever go back, most unpleasant take out environment I have ever experienced. This used to be a real treat for my husband and I, not anymore due to the extreme direction they have taken in their lack of any semblance of customer service. read more

Sorry to say the food was terrible. Everything we ordered was off. The spring rolls and gyoza were inedible. The chicken Pad Thai was so overly sweet and saucy it made us feel sick. The Teriyaki bowl was equally sweet and difficult to stomach and we ate very little of any of it. The Jungle Curry was flavourless and although we ordered med-hot spice level it was very mild. Judging by the other reviews this place seems to have a very inconsistent product so I would suggest steering clear. read more

One was almost tempted to say through a tablespoon of jiff peanut butter so I can get some peanut flavour. I paid nearly $15 for this mess, and then had to suffer with screaming music.
