The service is attentive & helpful that know their menu well. I ordered the chicken fried noodles. They were so well balanced in flavor with a smooth peanut butter garlicky sauce. They are delicious! We also had the rainbow dumplings, which is cool because you get to taste a variety of flavors within them. Location wise, it's great. As you walk in there's an intense smell that's similar to sewer mixed with cleaning products. I ordered and my food didn't take long at all. The food was rather good. I had pork bao which was delicious along with the curry noodles with tofu. I think the noodles were a bit too greasy though. Flavor was great. I've reviewed this place before and haven't went back since. Decided to give this place another shot after a few months. Staff was friendly but didn't look all that happy to be there which can reflect the experience. We tried different items and were delighted with the result(General and Sesame Chicken). Soda was good. We also got the veggie rolls which were pretty good as well. The syrup on both were light and not too heavy(thickness and flavor profile). With a General Chicken with steamed rice, Sesame Chicken with Fried rice, kids sweet and sour with steamed rice, 2 soft drink/1 water, and an order of veggie rolls cost a bit over $64. Came in for dinner because I was craving bbq buns and fried noodles, I got that and my husband got a ramen soup with shrimp. The good: HUGE portions, I was shocked when everything came out. Both my husband and I ate until we could pop and still had 50% left to take home for another day. Food was very good, staff were friendly, restaurant looked clean. The bad: Upon first entering the restaurant did not smell like delicious food it smelt like a dirty toilet (guessing plumbing issue?) and a cleaner. While the cleaner clearly indicated it's "clean" that's not what I want to smell when I'm walking into a restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is filled with these beautiful couches instead of regular chairs, at first I thought how cool I love this vibe. But after sitting down it was very uncomfortable to eat this way, I was very low compared to my food and did not like the seating at all. The steak is tender, the shrimp is perfectly cooked and the chicken was good. They don't skimp. They provide soy sauce and chili oil, which I thought went great with the rice. I also had the fried noodles, which was great. When you walk in, the host greets you kindly. You can also see the chefs making noodles through the glass, which adds to the homemade atmosphere. The first time I came, we ordered braised beef noodle soup, LanZhou noodle soup, pork xiao long baos, and bbq park buns. The xiao long baos are tasty and hand made beautifully. The bbq pork buns are also good too. The LanZhou noodles were just ok. The first time I tried their braised beef noodle soup, I was thoroughly impressed. The only weird thing about it was that they used broccoli instead of bok choy. However, I came back a second time and ordered the braised beef noodle soup again, and the broth was totally different, a generic broth and not the authentic, rich beef soup that it's supposed to be. I'm not sure why they switched the soup to a light, generic one instead of keeping the more authentic, richer and darker broth. The service is fine. To-go orders can be made at the counter behind the entrance area, to the left. The orders take a while to fulfill. Both times we ordered to-go and it took over 40 min to receive our food. Since they just opened, and I can see they are still hiring, I suppose they are tight on bandwidth. The restaurant as a whole is spacious with ample seating. There's also an area by the front entrance where you can sit and wait for a table (if necessary) or wait for your takeout. And meanwhile you can watch the chef make hand pulled noodles.
