He's honestly one of the main reasons several of us stopped visiting this location and haven't been back in about a year. Today, I walked in for a pickup order and, sure enough, there he was. We made eye contact probably three times before he eventually scoffed and waved his hand as if to say, "someone else can deal with the customer," before walking into the back kitchen. I waited around 10 minutes for someone to help me with my pickup order. Another gentleman working the grill area, who spoke very limited English, tried to communicate through hand gestures that someone would come assist me. I understood what he meant, but it really made me wonder: shouldn't all employees be able to handle a basic pickup order? By the time I got my food, it was cold. The dim sum short rib was especially disappointing. The flavor had a metallic, almost like table-water taste with every bite. It was unpleasant enough that I had to stop eating it and cleanse my palate with something else. The Sumo Wrestler, Gyoza Wagyu, and Spicy Tan Tan were still good, but even those didn't feel as efficient or consistent as we remembered. After being away for about a year, I came back expecting the same experience we had previously--and unfortunately, Sumo has noticeably slipped in both service and food quality. I'll need to revise my previous review. Overall, I'm dropping Sumo from 5 stars to 3 stars, primarily because of the decline in service and quality.

The way she spoke to my mom was extremely rude and unnecessary, especially over one missed call. After that, she continued giving my family dirty looks, which made the whole situation even more uncomfortable. At that point, we decided to leave because we did not feel welcomed or respected at all.
