Oh, also super unique and adorable in the heart of Fremont. I came in looking for a popular book and I was so happy they had it in stock! My purchase was a new book but there were plenty of gently used books too. My eyes did so much wandering and reading on every single corner as I navigated through the store. When I realized there was a black handsome kitty cat getting settled in a cat bed on top of a bookshelf, I gushed and let him smell me before I gave him a pet (you know - pet rule is they gotta smell ya first). I want to say his name is Archive and I only heard one of the employees talking to him as they tended to the store and books. He was super sweet to me as I browsed the basement floor level of books. I bought a tote bag to bring back home to Texas with me too. The bookstore logo cat design is just super unique and is a great sturdy tote. I was able to place my records in there too so it is sizable for vinyl records too! Friendly service and kind recommendations based off of the book I purchased. Thank you for stocking me up for my plane ride back home.

5/5 they have store cats…read more Haha but in all honestly, it's a fantastic used bookstore in the Fremont area. It looks small when you first enter, but it actually has three floors. There's even a cute sitting area in the children's section! The store is well organized and they have a large selection of books to choose from. The books are well priced for used books. Definitely stop in if you're walking around the Fremont area! And if you're nice, the cats might even let you pet them. :)

I stopped by this shop while I waited for the pie shop next door to open, and I'm grateful for it. Staff were very friendly, left me to walk around as I looked for a book, and were helpful when I let them know the genre I typically like. They were well read, kind of like librarians. I found two great books, one of which is now one of my favorites and the other that I have yet to read, made it to Barack Obama's list for the year so it seems interesting. I have since visited again to pick up more books. Would recommend a visit!

I'm not the most avid reader, but I do enjoy sci-fi books. I usually look for Isaac Asimov and Ursula Le Guin books and was lucky to have found a hardcover copy of Asimov's The Naked Sun here. I've never seen this cover illustration before! My friend is into fictional classics and picked up some books by John Steinbeck and Jamaica Kincaid. She was quite happy with her finds as well. We had a nice chat with the older woman at the checkout desk. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the books we were purchasing and recommended additional authors and titles based on what we selected. We mentioned that we were just visiting for the weekend, and she told us that you can call to inquire about their inventory. If they're carrying the book(s) you'd like to purchase, they will also ship them to you! I thought that was neat.

Between the extensive collection of books and jewelry this place was a real jem. I purchased a 100% silver ring for about 80$. I thought that was a great price. My favorite bookstores of years past were Elliott Bay Book Store (moved to Capitol Hill) and treasure trove run by the late David Ishii. It was great to browse onsite on Independent Booksellers Day (4/25/26). Loved the overall well organized flow of this retail shop. There's also a bar located towards the back, open only Wednesday through Saturday 3-8pm. I imagine this is well received especially during First Thursday art/gallery walk. I did not interact with any of the staff, but was happy to freely browse their well curated selection.

First of all, the store is beautifully decorated. Not crowded, but lovely - what better for a romance shop than hearts and pink? I found a bumper sticker, grabbed it. I found an anti-book banning tee shirt, grabbed that. Found some stickers and bookmarks that aligned with my opinions, I got them too. I came across a lovely display of "Blind Date With a Book" selections, and picked one. I had a lovely conversation with the woman running the register. And don't you know, I really like the mystery book I chose. Maybe I do have interest in the genre after all.

They had a great selection. I was in there to find a birthday present for a friend and easily found the perfect book and cute little bday card.
