    Rose lassi

We were here half an hour earlier than our reservation time but still we tried our luck. The host welcomed us and checked the reservation time and said you want to wait or you're ok to be seated at the available table and we went ahead with that. Me and my husband both were seated and the menu was given along with water, poured in each of our glasses. Since I was driving I went for rose lassi and my husband went for a beer. We ordered appetizers the kale chaat and chicken angaare. We also ordered the main course with butter naan, mugalai chicken changezi, and lamb Rogan josh. The servers were really good, they served everything timely and did took care as we finished each course. Food was delicious and we took the remaining in the box. The ambience is classic, I loved their interiors , the staff, the bar and overall experience. I would definitely like to try their other dishes and the wines and cocktails. A cozy place in a corner on university avenue. I will highly recommend.

Everything was so good and the restaurant was such a vibe. I've never had naan bread so soft and so garlicky. The garlic cheesey naan and the regular garlic naan are both something to try! Everything here was packed with flavor and spices that I've never had before. The wings were super spice forward and had a good char on them. Adding the green sauce brightened it up and made it even better.

I loved the ambience and the energy here. Lots of people enjoying beautiful conversations and meals together on a Sunday evening. 4.5/5 Service was also wonderful. Staff is quick and efficient. 5/5 My only complaint was the food. The amritsari chole was flavorful but undercooked. The naan was fresh and warm. 3/5 Bathrooms were also not clean 3/5. I didn't get to try the other items on the menu but it looked like a mix of North Indian and Nepali. Lovely decor and nice staff.

Solid food, gorgeous ambience. Came for a late dinner on a Wednesday evening and this place was packed! We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving at 8pm. To start, we ordered the watermelon salad to share. The presntation was gorgeous and colorful, was a refreshing appetizer to get us started. For beverages, I had a pour of the fieldworks Belgian and my friend had a mango lassi. Both beverages were served in bespoke glassware and were delicious. For mains, we ordered the butter chicken and lamb curry (both medium spicy) to share, with a side of naan and two sides of rice. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, while the curry lamb had a nice balance of flavor and heat. Both were enhanced by the side of garlic naan. Overall, a solid meal and nice ambience.

Indian Fusion is a hit! Wow, wow, wow! Garlic nan 10/10 - savory Cauliflower buffalo - surprisingly delicious and spicy! Not what I expected for a vegetarian dish, but it was delicious. Samosas a great little crunch! My lamb holy moly! I could have not been more satisfied with my purchase. This was so savory and a little bit charred at the right places. The lamb was tender and flavorful. We ended up getting rice for a bit of card on the side, and honestly we didn't need it because we had enough with the food. We were so pleasantly surprised because it was so delicious. We don't typically order Indian food, but we were so glad we tried this place. Will absolutely come back! The ambiance is so pretty! It's such a great instagramable moment! The staff was super friendly, and assisted us with everything and explained the menu very well.

My fam went on Christmas Day because we didn't want to cook and it was vegan friendly for the hubz. Cute modern and inviting interior, friendly staff with great recommendations, and yummy Indian food with a modern twist. The service was a little hit or miss (waited a while for our tea, water refills) but we overall enjoyed our meal. There's paid and unpaid street parking but you should come early to snag a spot. Recommend the tandoori wings, butter chicken, veggie momos, black lentil dal, biryani, and garlic cheese naan- yum!

My friends and I ate at Noor to celebrate the beginning of the semester, and we were blown away. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and has a warm and inviting energy. The people working there are very friendly and sweet. We were seating immediately and ordered the winter persimmon salad, aloo gobhi, butter chicken, garlic naan, golden rice, muglai chicken changezi, and baigan bharta. For dessert, we ordered the pistachio rose tres leches and a mango saffron ice cream. Everything was amazing! It's been a few days and I still haven't stopped thinking about the baigan bharta and the butter chicken! It was tasty, flavorful, cooked perfectly, and presented beautifully. I genuinely cannot wait to go back and try more dishes! We were able to find parking closeby near a public park. Highly recommend Noor!

Absolutely amazing. Best Indian food I've ever had! This place was wonderfully amazing and the place was such a nice restaurant to go on a date or a night out with friends. I took my girlfriend here and we both loved our experience here as our food was amazing. Everything we ordered was so full of flavor and was just amazing. Our service was also top notch and they were so helpful and kind to us. I wish I lived in this area to have it more but hopefully will be back

DOORDASH REVIEW: I don't make it out to Berkeley very often, but thanks to Doordash, I can enjoy Noor's delicious curries at home. Some of their dishes are only available for dine-in (pineapple curry), so I'll have to visit the restaurant sometime. Their curries are a bit creamier than most, and not as oily. I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried. What we got: + Lamb vindaloo - the lamb is so tender it falls apart. The potatoes soak up the flavorful curry, which has just a mild hint of heat. + Paneer Palak - spinach with cheese. They don't skimp on the cheese. Very yummy. + Butter chicken - flavorful, creamy, and good with tender cubes of chicken. + Chicken Tikka Masala - delicious with tender strips of chicken. + Naan - I really like their naan. It's soft and fresh with just the right amount of chew/stretch. The only minor complaint is the dishes were rather small. We ordered 4 curries for 4 people and we finished it all. Usually we'd have leftover if we ordered 4 curries from other Indian places. This place is also pricer than other Indian places, but I guess you get what you pay for because all the food was excellent.

I consistently have fantastic experiences with Noor - I have ordered for pickup and have dined in. Parking is available on the street, I have never had any issue finding a spot. I am always able to reach someone by phone if needed. The service is great for both pick up and dine in. For pick up, my food has always packaged well, stays warm and does not spill. Dining in is a must, the interior decor, ambiance and overall vibe is perfect. Most recently we had my daughter's birthday dinner here with a large group. The restaurant was very accommodating and the food was so good (as it always is). While I love all of the dishes I have tried at Noor, my favorites are the pineapple curry (only available for dine in), the butter chicken, methi malai chicken and the chicken biriyani. I particularly love that Noor offers dairy free and/or nut free modifications to our favorite dishes. They also let you select your spice level and make other modifications as needed. Overall, highly recommend Noor, will be back again and again!

    Garlic Naan
    Puneet S.

We had the most interesting experience at Noor. You walk into a well lit dining area that is very warm and welcoming. You sat down and one of the staff members immediately tried to take the order even before the water was set. That was the only issue we had with our experience. We eventually ended up ordering with a very nice server who did an exceptional job. We ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan. The kale chaat to start, the malai chicken appetizer and daal makhni. Garlic naan was flaky and crispy, and had a nice crunch to it, it was very fresh. The pot of chicken had a nice balance of sweet and spicy as well as creamy texture with an amazing chicken quality. The daal was also made to perfection with a creamy and rice texture. The kale chaat was the sleeper, the one dish that shocked. It was so fresh and crispy and paired well in this dish. Overall, lovely experience and food quality is exceptional

It was our last day of school for the semester at UC Berkeley and we wanted to celebrate over dinner. We found this restaurant after a quick Yelp search. There was plenty of parking available. The wait time was negligible and we were seated almost immediately. The restaurant itself is not very big but beautifully decorated and has a nice vibe. We got hara bhara kebab and veg momos for appetizers. The food came out pretty quickly! The momos came with a sauce. They were flavorful and the portion size was great. The hara bhara kebab tasted a bit bland and the portion size was less. Next, we got the paneer lababdar. The server mentioned that for 3 people, we might need 3 curries, but we decided to order 2 and get more as needed. We also got some garlic naan since the curry didn't come with rice. The entree came out pretty quickly. The paneer in the gravy was soft and the curry was authentic and delicious. The naan was cooked to perfection. We were full with the 2 curries and didn't need another one. We also got the tres leche cake slice. It was topped with pistachios and rose petals and we couldn't wait to dig in. I must say the presentation was top notch! The flavor was yummy and had notes of cardamom too. The cake slice was enough for 3 people. All in all the food was delicious!

I hadn't been to Berkeley in forever and stumbled across Noor on University Avenue across from Target. This cute, little, Indian fusion restaurant might have just been added to my favorites list!I saw a lot of my favorites on the menu but decided to try something different and boy am I glad I did! Perfect place for meat eaters, vegetarians, and even vegans! I also had a Lychee champagne drink that was refreshingly delicious! There was absolutely no room for dessert which gives me another reason to come back. You know I am totally one for details and I thought the way hey give you your check was the perfect added touch. The service was great and the place was pretty packed for a Wednesday. This just lets you know that it is obviously a local favorite! I see you Berkeley and thank you Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen you will be seeing again soon!

Is the restaurant ADD accessible for a wheelchair?

Yes, it is. See you soon.

I have a mild chickpea/lentil allergy that is fine with cross contamination but I still need to avoid them, I was wondering if the lamb vindaloo or butter chicken contain either of these ingredients in the sauces?

Thank you for the question. Both butter chicken, and lamb vindaloo is free from any chickpea/lentil/gluten/shellfish allergens.

    Is there parking?

There are a ton of street parking available.

    Are there any Alcohol?

We serve beer and wine. We will soon be introducing some new indian Inspired cocktails.

They closed for a time, and now seem to be thriving again! Heading to the Greek for a weekend show, we wanted to pop in somewhere close-by. We cozied up to bar seating, and enjoy a couple of martinis featuring local gin and vodka, and ordered some food to share: the Original Tikka Masala Flatbread (we had to finally try it!), and the Sev Puri Chaat (first time trying this ever!). Service was amazing, and if I could write this review purely on the originality and creativity of the menus, I would (see pics!) The menus were CD cases (remember those, ha) with a fun take on 'Spice Girls', titled 'East Bay Spice Company'. For Spice Girls fans, you will recognize what album this was derived from. Each page of the cd book was a different part of the menu, including drinks, happy hour (from 2-6pm), and food. So fun, and unlike anything I've ever seen before. The food was so fresh and delicious. Loved the pomegranate seeds and lightness from the Sev Puri Chaat, bite size garbanzo bean/potato goodness! And standing O for that flatbread..pro-tip: get a side of the Tikka Masala sauce to pour on top. Absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of Tikka Masala, and having that sauce be a base for a pizza...come on!! We did chicken as the protein. Overall, so happy to return and have East Bay Spice back apart of the Berkeley rotation again. Small, dimly-lit, cool digs. Also check out their sister spots: Tap in Lounge and Tipsea in Berk, Blue Rabbit Bar off San Pablo, and Lemon Drop in Alameda.
