I've been a patient of Dr. Sachdev for several years and he use to provide excellent service. However, quality has serious degraded in the last three years, and his office staff has got to be one of the worse ever. I have been trying to get a prescription filled for six months, and all I get are crickets. No one ever calls me back, and no one notifies me of the status of my prescription. After threatening to look for a new neurologist, I got the prescription filled, but the local pharmacy will not dispense the medication because the doctor office failed to provide instructions for use (apparently required by law, even though the medication comes with an insert on how to use it). So the pharmacy will not dispense, and after two weeks of trying to get the doctor or his staff to call the pharmacy, I am fed up and done. Save your time and energy and seek out a different neurologist. read more

My appointment with Dr. Noor on 5/5/25 was a breath of fresh air, and such a relief. I finally found a Doctor who understands what I've been going through the last two months. He was very thorough with his examination, read through my chart regarding doctors and diagnosis I've had the last two months, he was very sympathetic and understanding. He put a full plan together and also recommended another specialist for me to see. He ordered tests therapy and medication. I highly recommend him, although there is a waiting list and I waited five weeks to see him, but it was worth the wait. read more

They have hired new receptionist awhile ago and the office is much more prompt, however,... it is a busy office, and you many times can not get an immediate answer on the phone as of yet, majority of the time, but they do eventually get back to you. Everyone here is engaging, considerate and professional in my experience. I really love Noor Sachdev and Marla (who is either also a Neurologist or his Nurse Practitioner who accepts patient loads as well). I am sorry I don't remember her exact title, but I see both, and she is excellent as well. I have been with them many, many years, ..and have had at least had 4 Neuro's in my lifetime due to moves, insurance or care specialty, and the Sachdev name in medicine, in general, at least in the San Jose/Los Gatos area, have all been a solid "A". In my lifetime I have, and would, drive far to receive good care for my medical and dental needs, and Noor's practice is one you might consider, if this is your question. As a long time patient of Dr. Sachdev I appreciate his knowledge and no nonsense type of treatment. He has given me samples when my medication won't come in on time, he is caring and takes care of his patients. However I must say the staff is once again so disappointing with their rudeness, lack of communication even to the point of outright lying. I know they will never tell the Doctor that I wanted to talk to him because they're covering their mistakes. I needed and was scheduled for my Botox for Migraine but that didn't happen last Monday because back in May when I provided my primary insurance of Medicare A&B as they needed this to get a pre-authorization absolutely nothing was requested from Medicare. While I was in the office in May one of the staff mentioned a certain supplemental plan I had may not help with additional coverage so I immediately changed my supplemental. I called the office a total of 8 times and my phone records show this but I only spoke to someone one time indicating I had new insurance to provide and ask for a call back. That new insurance was a supplemental insurance that was effective in July. I couldn't remember the name of the person that handled insurance so I expected a call back. That never happened yet they continued to leave automated messages to confirm my appointment. I wouldn't confirm because I can't afford over 1300.00 out of pocket. I know they can request an urgent pre authorization ( since I really need this medication) but the message I received from the staff was that my request would be passed on to the appropriate person. Now should I trust that they care enough about me to put that in? Absolutely not. That should have been done in May. The excuse I got was well you said you had "new insurance " ! Yes , I do but no one would "cancel" Medicare! We have paid into that our entire work life. If the person working with Medicare or any insurance certainly should know that insurance requires pre-authorizations. I am currently looking for a new Neurologist as I believe it's time to move on. Great Doctor as well as Mara but it comes along with a rude, condescending, staff that lies to cover up. read more

This review is not for the doctor himself but for his office staff. I left a voicemail saying I am looking for a neurologist who takes Aetna EPO insure and if they do please contact me. I was contacted via text and asked if they take Aetna EPO. I was asked for a photo of my card and did provide it. I was then offered to schedule an appointment. It was quite a wait to get in, but since they new my insurance and accepted me I booked and waited. After almost 2 months my appointment was just a few days away when the office called and said they need some additional information. When the person asked for my insurance, my heart sunk. I told her I have Awtna EPO and she told me they don't accept it....what the hell...what have I just waited 2 months for and now...nothing....I am sure it will be difficult to find another neurologist and wouldn't be surprised if it is another 2 or 3 months before someone can see me. Dr Sachdev has changed my life for the best! I was suffering from chronic migraines. In a month I would have maybe 5 days headache or migraine free. I was referred to Dr. Sachdev about 2 years ago for chronic migraine headaches. I had suffered from them for years, and they had become more severe and persistent. Nothing my internist had prescribed had had a significant impact and the Sumatriptan I had been taking for headache pain was no longer effective. Dr Sachdev listened and took seriously how debilitating chronic migraines can be. After a short trial and error period he hit upon the optimum combination of treatments that have been effective in minimizing migraine frequency significantly, and effective in dealing with migraine pain and longevity when they hit. With Dr Sachdev I always feel as though he's working toward complete eradication of the migraines rather than just getting to a tolerable level of frequency and pain. I might also add he and his staff have been great at dealing with the insurance company to get my treatments approved. I had an appointment with Dr Noor today, May 23, 2024, for my margarine Botox injection. The appointment I got from his team was the day before, which means May 22, 2024. Today, when I reached the office after 15 minutes, the nurse took me to the doctor's room. She told me to wait for the doctor after they got my signature on the consent form. He would be in the room shortly, but after 10 minutes, another nurse came and changed my room. After waiting for 5 minutes more, the nurse told me the doctor was not available that day, but his nurse is available to inject me. I denied it, and I told her when I was scheduled, I told the nurse only the injection must be with the Doctor because it is a susceptible area, and she said the doctor would not be available for three weeks if I did not accept it. I came out of the room. I was shocked because the doctor came out from another room. I told the doctor you were here, but they said you were not available, and the worst thing is Dr. He said yes, but my hand has a problem. If you want, my nurse can do that. Otherwise, choose another doctor to do it for you. Who can believe this doctor when he's hiding from the patient and teaching the team to lie to his patient? With Noor given a situation that was extremely complicated. And I was in need of a man I could connect with. I went back to see Dr. Harmeet Sachdev whom I saw when I was young. But remembered Harmeet as being very detailed which means good for a neurologist. With Noor he is very personable had that care of focus in which there was direct forward lets get to work, enjoys figuring out a problem. After he devised the strategy for the areas he will test to get answers. I brought with my appointment one year and a half worth of time studying my problem, by researching and asking for help by consulting other specialty physicians outside of PAMF. SO I came able to ask good questions. Noor is really good, I felt human with him. A quick update here to my original review. I remain super happy with the treatment on migraines that I am following and I no longer even remember to carry pills for the headache attack that may happen any time during the day. How amazing is that? Over the last year I had to change insurances and hence, redo the approvals for the prescription, and I had challenges with the insurance changing practices and not giving me the prescription on time. At every time, Mark at the practice has been there for me by text, phone, in person! He has provided prescription coverage in the gaps I had so I did not have a treatment interruption and I definitively have seen a huge change post-COVID on how the office is operated. A huge thanks to Mark for being there for patients navigating a painful and at times even hostile insurance landscape for patients like me where a tylenol migraine does not cut it or a cheap generic would do nothing for me. read more

Meeting Dr. Sachdev was the best thing for the symptoms I was having, weakness and numbness in my hand and legs. He could of past it off as diabetic neuropathy but did some further testing and diagnosed me with CIDP. I was seeing my primary doctor for over a year. I knew something wasn't right but she kept telling me it was IBS and even after following the IBS diet I still was having really bad back and stomach pain. She did an MRI of my lower back but found nothing. By this point my legs have a sleepy tingling sensation and I was starting to lose balance often. So she sent me in to get tested for MS. When the MS test came back negative she recommended I see Dr. Noor Sachdev, but made It seem as if it was not urgent and I can take my time to go see him in the next few months, until then stick to my IBS diet. I called Dr. Sachdev office and explained to my symptoms to them. They had me in for a valuation the very next day. Dr. Noor was so concerned that he wanted me to get an MRI of my upper back ASAP and for me to get admitted right away. I laughed and said my primary care doctor thinks it's nothing and you want me to go right away it's got to be a middle ground somewhere, but I listened to him and went that same day to get my MRI. By the time I left getting my MRI I received a call from Dr Noor and he said I had a tumor in my spine. He was already coordinating with the surgeon to get me set up for surgery at 7:30 in the morning. I am so glad I listened to Dr. Noor because if I did not have the surgery I was literally a week away from becoming a paraplegic. The surgeon was shocked that I had gone this long in the condition I was in. If it was not for Dr. Noor, I will still be following my IBS diet thanking my pain is due to what I'm eating and not the tumor in my back. I give my highest recommendation to Dr. Noor. read more

I've had migraines over twenty years now and after trying many medications, acupuncture, massage, physical therapy and just about everything in-between, I was referred to Dr. Sachdev by my doctor. He was very thorough, listened to my history, was very aggressive with new medicine gave me such hope for relief that I left my first appointment feeling very so positive. I've been suffering from fibromyalgia, anxiety, migraines, and now vertigo. So, my ENT, Dr. Deer, suggested that I go to a neurologist because he believed my vertigo was caused by migraines. I saw Dr. Sachdev and he authorized Botox for migraines. When I came in for the appt. he was over 20 minutes late, and was not prepared. I felt like he rushed. Needless to say I have one eye half closed with a straight eyebrow, and one eye wide open with a high arched eyebrow. When I came into the office to show them, the receptionist was rude, and uncompassionate. She told me that the doctor had hit my eye area very aggressively and it would take three months to go away. I have had botox injections, very aggressively in the eye area previously for migraines and have never experienced this. When I asked to see the Dr., she said I had to wait for my follow up appointment which was in six weeks, and would not let me see or talk to the doctor sooner. I will NEVER go back there again. I completely disagree with the previous post. I had two terrible neurologists and was referred to Dr. Sachdev by a fantastic rheumatologist. I have migraines and Chronic regional pain syndrome. Dr. Sachdev is a Botox expert and has gone out of his way to work in collaboration with my Stanford pain team. The doctor has gone to bat for me when my insurance has tried to cut costs and deny procedures which would have totally made it hard for me to function. I have never had him arrive late to an appointment and his staff has ALWAYS gone out of their way to help me with prescriptions and other documents needed for my disability. I have three friends that go to him and would never switch. One of those drives 90 minutes to get to his care. I would highly recommend this office and I would literally be in a world of hurt without Dr. Sachdev!! read more

A knight in shining armor!! I have struggled with migraines since I was a toddler and am now 58 years old. I have seen many neurology specialists and tried more medications that I can list. My life completely revolved around being in severe pain, intense nausea, vomiting uncontrollably, and trying to get through each day. I never knew a normal life. I have been seeing Dr. Noor Sachdev for the past several years and have been receiving Botox quarterly (without ever experiencing any complications) which cut my migraines in half. Last year, a new drug for migraines was approved, Dr. Sachdev made sure I was one of the first to get on this newly available program for monthly Aimovig injections and my life has completely changed.
