Supreme medium spice Wings 8 Pcs
    Christopher F.

Updated 6-16-24, came and got the exact same order 12 sweet and mild and 12 spicy soy flavor just as wonderful what changed is the crispness of the wings which were much better than last time please keep up this level crispness. Magic fries were still amazing.

Wings 8 Pcs (Soy Garlic Sauce, Sweet & Mild Sauce) and Magic Fries
    Shenelle A.

Very tasty Korean fried chicken. Chicken is very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My personal favorite flavor is their soy garlic sauce. I also like how their sweet & mild sauce didn't burn my mouth because I have a low spice tolerance. Place is very small with only a counter to eat at, so it's best to order out and eat it right away to ensure for maximum chicken crispiness. I appreciate how you can easily order online, on Snackpass, or using their kiosk. Can't wait to come again to try the rest of their menu.

    8 piece bone in plain
    Jenne E.

Great tasting chicken. Bone in is my favorite. It has a sweet and tangy flavor on the plain flavor. I ordered a d a 8-piece and had to turn around and get more they were so good. The magic fries are delicious. My only complaint would be they are a little expensive but I will still go back.

Food is amazing. 10/10 experience. Customer service is spectacular, very helpful. Chicken tastes so fresh. Highly recommend.

Cute little store front. Enjoyed our fries and sweet & mild + soy garlic bone-in wings. Bone-in wings were crisp, plump, and flavorful!

The chicken is wonderful. It reminds me of the hamster I used to eat as a child. Everyone who works here is wonderful. Five stars.

Thankfully my husband found a spot right on the street! I chose KBBQ for my birthday dinner and my husband found this place. They have a good variety of side dishes (pumpkin, mashed potato, spicy fish cakes, etc)! The food was good and we liked the meat! The brisket wasn't too thin and the steak was delish!! They have decoration very similar to Kimchi Box with neon signs and art featuring scenes from Seoul. The employees were friendly. We want to return and try other dishes on their menu!

This place is aligned fairly well though with food in Korea though ie not highly westernized. This place is in the center of the college area on Liberty and State street. The selection is not extensive but the basics are here including BBQ. Side dishes are decent, Kimchi, which is fundamental to any Korean meal and varies by region, is always included and people have strong opinions about. Theirs is OK but not top notch. Other side dishes are decent. Whatever we ordered, BBQ, Yuk Gae Jang, Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap (Rice. Vegetables and beef inn stone pot), other was pretty good.....just like Seoul Garden used to be before ownership change. We used to go almost exclusively to Seoul Garden near the mall off Boardwalk but after ownership change stopped as the taste changed significantly and not for the better. Its nice to have The Seoul is an option. They have beer and soju (Ubiquitous Korean liquor in Korea that along with Kimchi is many Koreans blood) Environment of the restaurant is modern but still a bit cozy. Overall, definitely worth a try. While we are at it, I have spent allot of time in Japan on business (some vacationing too) and I know it's trendy to go there now especially with the exchange rate, and by all means go, allot to see and experience (and eat!) there. But don't overlook Korea. The two countries have a torrid history and don't want to admit they are similar in many ways....but they are and Korea is loaded with great places to go and food to eat. Traveling can be done on any budget, feel free to reach out if you want to learn more. Also love to hear from experienced travelers, love to learn of new places and things to do.

We met up for lunch recently and had a great experience. Nate and I first went into the wrong restaurant - they also have a more casual noodle spot next door, so be sure you know where you're meeting/going! We hadn't figured out if we wanted to do Korean BBQ or not when we first arrived, but we ended up choosing from the lunch specials/combos menu which was a great value. Plus I can never decide what I want, so it was great to be able to get a combo with two different options. I went with the bulgogi/nengmyun combo and we also got an order of mandoo to share. Our server was super patient and helpful with navigating the menu. The food came out quickly and everything was pretty tasty - I loved the mandoo (dumplings) - they were big and filled nicely. The nengmyun was good, not the best version of this dish that I've had, but it's hard to find in my city so I was happy to have theirs. I loved the spicy pork bulgogi; super flavorful and not too spicy. Nate got the sundubu stew which was delicious and quite spicy! The portions were large, especially for the price. I always forget how great it is eating in college towns - things can be way cheaper! Parking here is a bit tricky as it is anywhere downtown, but we lucked out with a street meter nearby. I will definitely be back to Tomukun in the future.

I really love the countryside potato rice. So filling and comforting. I'd highly recommend getting the soft egg with it (add on for $3). The carrot salad is refreshing and flavorful. My daughter had the fried tofu sandwich. She said it was good but it could have used a little more sauce and she likes the potato rice better. We opted to share a few dishes to include the beet avocado salad, the fried chicken, the ribs, crispy broccolini and the street style tteokbokki. Our whole table enjoyed each dish. The sauces were the right level of spicy and the meat was tender. The soy butter rice was a stand out. My wife says "that is the best rice I've ever had." I enjoyed a Makku with my meal. It's a tasty Korean rice beer. We made reservations and were seated not too long after our arrival. The restaurant offers plenty of seating to include a small bar area, and has a vibrant atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. We will be visiting again to try some of the other dishes.

The quality of the food is still amazing and worth a visit, but there were some items I wish stayed on the menu. For example, the spicy salmon crispy rice is no longer available and only available in the tuna form. The portions are also smaller, now coming in three small bites rather than the two big bites from before. The gochujang rigatoni and kimchi paella are also unavailable. Some new dishes I tried and loved were the short rib and the grilled octopus. The octopus was incredibly tender and I couldn't stop eating it! It also comes with delicious potatoes. The short rib was a larger portion and also tasted delicious. The rest of my table ordered the miso cod. The miso cod was delicious, but the portion was quite small and arguably not worth its price compared to the short rib. Cocktails that I recommend are The Gatsby and The Promised Neverland if you like sweeter drinks! For the service, we felt a bit rushed as we were dining. Normally the drinks come out followed by the appetizers, but our appetizers came first and the drinks came with our mains. I think there was a missed opportunity to sip on our drinks and chat with our party as we enjoyed the restaurant's ambience. Otherwise, the food came quickly and was well served.

It was restaurant weekend in downtown Ann Arbor and we didn't have a reservation, so we obliged, although the space was pretty empty. Once we got to the bar, the young waitress slammed menus down in front of us and acted extremely annoyed by our presence. After bothering us every minute for the next 5 minutes to order, me and my friend put in our orders in haste. We then waited for 30 minutes for our meals to arrive. I got the "Amazing Shrimp" sushi roll and my friend got the "Grilled Angus Short Rib". As noted on the menu it comes with Mashed Potatoes, Shishito Peppers, and Garlic Chives. Per my friend's request, the order did not come with the Shishito Peppers or Garlic Chives, but it also didn't have the potatoes. After asking for the potatoes, our server went back and we could hear her yelling at the kitchen staff. Minutes later she came out with a bowl of 3 potatoes, not mashed and not hot. My roll was great and I'd definitely order again if I come back, but I'm honestly not too inclined to after this experience. Lastly, the restaurant itself was freezing. It was a cold day but it was way colder inside than it should've been. We ended up keeping our coats on for most of dinner. I really do want to like it here because the vibe seemed very modern and clean, however the service, food, and level of professionalism fell short of my expectations.
