After a bad experience at Les Schwab Tires, I decided to give Nor-Cal Tire a try because of the good things I'd heard about them. As soon as I pulled into the lot, I was greeted by a really friendly guy named Sam. I told him about my situation and how Les Schwab refused to rotate my tires, saying they were in "bad shape." Sam said, "Let me take a look at those tires and see what I can do for you but, If you bought tires from there you have to go back there" I then clearly mentioned that the tires I bought were when I bought the vehicle and they hadnt been changed since day 1. After checking them out, he showed me the wear on the outside of the tires and confirmed that what Les Schwab told me was true. But instead of just sending me away, he offered me options. He said, "I can get you used tires or new tires--whichever you'd like." I thought about going with used, but after talking with my wife, we agreed new tires were the better choice since she drives the car every day. Her safety comes first, and I couldn't agree more. What really stood out to me was that Nor-Cal Tire makes it easy to get what you need, even if you don't have the money upfront. They have a program that's 90 days same-as-cash, so you can get your tires right away and make payments directly from your checking account or debit card on the days you choose--like payday. It's simple, and it doesn't create overdraft or banking issues. Sam worked with me and got me set up with four brand-new tires that were mounted and balanced at a great price. I won't share the exact number since I know it varies, but let me just say I left more than satisfied. The brand was one I hadn't heard of before, but honestly, new tires are new tires, and I felt good knowing we'd made the safe choice. Thanks to Sam and the Nor-Cal Tire team, my wife and I are both happy customers. From now on, this is where I'll be taking all of my automotive needs. These guys are my go to place for tires. Always getting better deals than anyone in town. Talk to Sam. He's a good guy. I thought I would need a new rim when my tire couldn't hold air. For a Beamer that's 1200$ for 4 rims, with all wheel drive it's also four tires. Bumping into a curb almost cost me 1800! Luckily Uzman took off the tire Zsanded down the rust buildup and put it back on. No crack in the rim and it has held air no problem ever since 6 months ago. First off I believe in supporting the little guys that's why I went here in the first place... but Don't get ripped off like I did. They don't even know how to do the basics like balancing a wheel the weights have to be on both sides of the wheel not just one side! Plus sticky weights in the middle of the wheel. They charged me $250 for Mount balance and it's not correct at all! Terrible vibration so now I have to go to another shop and pay more money to get them re-balanced! You will get ripped off if you go here! The employees walk around smelling like marijuana with dirty looks on their face. This is absolutely the most terrible tire shop i've ever experienced! The owner will sell you the wrong product in a heartbeat to make a profit and then will charge you more money to fix the problem. Nor Cal Tire shop doesn't even know the difference between a hubcentric wheel and a lug centric wheel!!! They never bothered to tell me I needed hub centric spacer for my wheels to work correctly without vibration, but nope they just proceeded to mount the new tires on. Completely ignoring the fact that they were on wrong! Yes putting my life at risk going down the road! So Now My truck has brand new tires from Nor Cal Tire $1,700 later and still such bad vibration I couldn't go down the highway without almost losing control and crashing!!!! This tire shops going to kill somebody! Please listen to my warning do not go here! Owner just wants to keep charging me more money and never do good on his part to fix the problem. I'm telling all my family, friends and coworkers not to go here!!! I tried to warn you guys. I had to figure this all out on my own very expensive lesson. I'm from out of town, and I've used Nor Cal Tire 2 times now. They did a great job the first time so it was an easy choice where to go again. I was able to get right in both times. Bought tires from them 4 months ago. Got a great deal. $500 out the door. Was very happy! A couple days ago had a blow out on the freeway. Called and was told as long as we didn't hit anything (we didnt) and they were new tires then it would be warrantied. Brought it up there and was told no warranty because they were low profile. This is ridiculous! Always purchased tires before thru Big 0 and never had a problem . Should have known the deal was too good to be true. Dont know why the tire blew both sides were blown out with the tire perfect. Will never purchase tires here again. Went here to get some tires mounted on my Mini Cooper everything was great until the technician tried to tell me I needed to purchase tire sensors he tired to tell me they were broken lol no they were fine no lights on my dash when I took it to you I saw you brake it when you did the dismount after leaving I was pissed so I called back and spoke to Sam the owner he said he would take care of it so after work I stopped by and gave me vin number and phone number NOTHING now and it's been over a week and half no calls and when I call no answer goes to there mail box which is always full!!!!!! I took my car in for a rotation and balancing. I didn't buy the tires from them. It took about 20 minutes. They didn't charge me a dime & they weren't their tires! Sold me old tires as new. Salesman was very demeaning. Hey buddy, maybe an alignment is in order too, I'll check that to be sure, but an alignment would not make supposedly brand new tires wear so bad the steel tread is showing through in 1 month and it wouldn't allow evenly awful wear. Regardless, don't talk to me as though I were a child or let your redneck bay flies cuss as me bec I'm demanding what I should have - my money back - and being very clear about why: the 1 mo. old tires are in front of you w/ the metal tread showing through, and I showed you the tires, my receipt & my mileage 5 times. There simply isn't an argument to be had here, sorry. Meanwhile he was yelling at me that I'm trying to cheat HIM! Lol. "Why should I give you your money back?!" - 10 times before he did. They check the tire and rim out and said yes they could do it set it on the bead aired it up and gave it back to me.
