Quoted $500 for a leveling kit install (purchased the kit separately online). We went over it on the phone. After I dropped my truck off they called me and said they didn't assess this correctly and the new charge would be over 1,000. I said no and went back to grab my truck. The reason they gave me for the price hike was that they didn't know the kit came with shocks.. we surely went over shocks on the phone but regardless anyone charging $500 for shock installation is out of their mind. They acted nice on the phone but terrible business practice. This was either a scam tactic or they just didn't want to work. Got another local shop to install for $400. I will not do business here again or recommend them to anyone I know. read more

I ordered a set of tires from them, wasn't sure which brand I wanted, and they recommended the Falken Wildpeak AT4. I was previously going to Les Schwab and they were alright, but Point S is better in my opinion. These tires are rated for a higher mileage than the ones at Les Schwab. Service is horrendous. They are 0/2 with me. They told me they would have my vehicle ready and it was 2 days late the first time. I wasn't happy then, but I gave them another chance. 2nd time when I went to pick up wheels I dropped off to have new tires put on, they were not done. When I came back to pick them up they weren't done and they didn't call (which they said they would) to tell me they were not done. I picked up my wheels, drove less than one mile away and got the job done immediately for half the price. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. We brought in a Toyota Tundra upon recommendation to Point S regarding a potential alternator issue. They charged $75 to tell us nothing was wrong with the vehicle. Turns out it really is the alternator. We had to get it replaced back in San Diego. Luckily we made it home. read more

A tire on my tractor went flat. I brought the tire in, left it for a couple hours while I ran other errands, and when I came back the tire was done. What I thought was a bigger problem turned out to only need a patch for a small hole in the tube. They were quick, courteous and friendly. And they were honest, only charging me a minimal amount when they could have gouged me for more without me being aware of it. I will definitely go back to them in the future. read more

I called for an appointment and a price check. I gave them all my information including vehicle info. I was told $65.99 for an alignment. I went in and was told that the price was going to be $155.00 that's over double the price. Was also told that it was going to be an hour to an hour and a half. I chose to wait. 3 hours later I see the tech. driving my truck for a test drive. Pulling out of the driveway he curbs it.. finally it's done. I get in my truck and there's grease all over the truck. I had a leaking rear Axle seal that needed to be replaced. The parts and labor for that was about average $173.00The deferential service was Way expensive. $100.00 to drain the differential and $60.00 for gear oil. They didn't bother to clean up the oil on the rim, can't tell if repair is good till I get it cleaned up.,Maximum cost for a minimal job. I tried them because they were a local shop in our community and the shop looked clean and organized. read more
