It's time for me to get a tire rotation and the best way I found to get this done is make an appointment online at America's Tire. If you purchase tires like I did at America's Tire or also known as Discount Tire out side of California, you get free rotation and rebalancing for the life of the tires. Free flat repair as well! I rotate every 7000 miles or so. It does actually even out the tread wear, so you'll get more life out of the tires. Making the appointment was easy and as long as you can plan ahead a little, you can get the time of the day you want too. I just brought my car in at the appointed time and they took me in right away. They first come out to the car and check the tread wear and mileage and stuff. The waiting room is clean and has good places to sit and wait. The WIFI works fine for web browsing and email, but really not fast enough to stream movies or anything like that. I like to sit and write my Yelp reviews while I wait. I watch my car taken into the service bay and two guys go to work on it, almost like a NASCAR pit stop. Up goes the car and bam bam bam, off go the wheels and rolled over to the balancing machine. When the tire techs finish balancing and re bolting on the wheels, they do the final tightening with a torque wrench instead of like a lot of places just blast on the bolts with the air wrench, zap zap zap and done. Using the torque wrench they make sure it's not over tightened, especially if you have to change a tire in an emergency out on the road and it too damn tight! I'm in and out in about 45 minutes, all balanced and rotated for FREE! You can go to any store location no matter which location you purchased your tires. You can't beat that deal! read more

I went online Saturday to purchase 4 new tires for my Pathfinder. I was able to confirm online that the tires I chose fit my vehicle and pay for them. The website stated it would be a two day wait for them to ship and it allowed me to make an appointment. To my surprise the tires arrived on Monday and the appointment was changed to accommodate the change. Americas Tire has a new Concierge service. My name was on a sign in a reserved space and the Sales Manager came out to me. The staff took my vehicle into the bays and I was sent a tracking link to keep track. One small suggestion would be to offer a bottle of cold water while we wait. What a fantastic experience start to finish. read more

This shop has competive pricing and friendly staff. Tire tread selection is limited. I like something between mild all terrain and mud bog. So I ordered on line and they installed them. Im disappointed that this business joined Hone Depot and Lowes in pretending to honor veterans with a discount. They contrive it in such a way as to seem like Stolen Valor. It would be honorable to simply remove what they call a veteran discount and stop pretending to respect veterans. 5% off the base item is an insult. It used to be, and should be 10% off the entire purchase, exculding tax. If you want to cut the discount, that's cool, just quit claiming you support vetterans with this watered down insult. Update: I talked to a Manager two days later. He did apologize and Tried to make a mends. He offered to only try and repair and or remove and allow me to replace the faulty parts but Only the two back tires and I needed to be there by 3:30pm. Unfortunately, I had 3 Very Flat Tires. I tried to fill them with air(raining) but they would not hold air. So, I ended up going to BigOTires and talked with Michael. Explained what was going on, I had my car towed in and Viola!. While on a road trip I noticed my tire was losing air. After stopping two times to fill it in one afternoon I realized we had a problem! I stopped at another tire store first, but when I pulled up they let me know because I had a Tesla they couldn't help me. Apparently you need special equipment and must be certified to work on Tesla tires. Many calls later, while continuing to drive down towards home with 5 pm approaching, we were getting very nervous. Then we called American's Tire. They assured us they could work on a Tesla and told us to come in. They took the car in immediately and started working on it before I even checked in at the front desk. Just 15 minutes later they let me know they found a nail in my tire, patched it and I was good to go! The real kicker... They did the work for free. They saved the day, letting us continue our road trip home feeling safe and grateful for their generosity. I don't live by this business, but if I did this would be my go to tire shop. read more

Today, my wife was shown that the brake rotor on our car was missing two screws. Someone took her into the garage area, had the tech remove the tire again, to show here where the screws were missing. Nothing else was missing. To illustrate the issue, he grabbed the rotor and moved it back and forth. You know, the rotor that is held on by the wheel he just removed... No worries though, they recommended somewhere (in town) where she could get them checked and replaced. Perhaps they were acquainted with someone that worked there? I will never know. Except for the fact that there is not and never were screws in the rotor, it was an excellent bit of advice. If we did put screws into where they said they were missing, the wheel would sit crookedly and the rotor would not turn... But they did a great job rotating the tires! We have been going there for years. Maybe, we will find somewhere else to buy tires in the future. Sucks for them because my truck needs tires... read more

We get our tires from Americas Tire. They are reliable, and the tires are good quality. We usually ask the rep if there is enough wear on the tires to get new ones. He or she is usually good at giving us an assessment. Last time we were told our tires were worn at a certain tread and they really didn't need new ones. But they sold us some anyway. We called Tyler and explained the situation and he made good on two tires we bought prematurely. We will go back to America tires as they proved themselves honest. read more

Really liked them !! I was a BIG O loyalist, but had an incident that changed my mind. I'd heard and known a lot of people who use America's Tires, so decided to give them a try. really great folks-rolled into redding from deep northern cali with a low pressure warning going off-worried that i might have had a puncture and didn't want to risk the remaining six hours of driving wondering if i'd make it to my destination. these folks were open on saturday, which was super helpful and basically solved the issue immediately - low tire pressure across all four wheels due to change in weather circumstances. they knew i couldn't have had a flag. five minutes or less of service, for free, put me at ease of mind for the remainder of my drive. thanks ya'll. read more

Because if covid they allow you the option to stay in your car, which I'd actually recommend. When we purchased our fifth wheel, the seller gave me the original receipt for the tires saying the certificate was xferable. Rear tire picked up a nail soon after so we gave AT a call - They were so friendly on the phone and were able to lookup and confirm the certificate and even get me a same-day appointment. They said it was ok to bring the whole fifth wheel down (vs removing the tire myself). Even though it couldn't fit into their bays, they had a place for me to park it and had a long air hose for just the occasion. They were able to easily jack up the trailer, get the tire off, identify and fix the flat, and get it all back together in very reasonable amount of time. No charge for the service - they asked that I consider them when its time to replace the tires, and I definitely will ! read more

Went in to get my tires changed out. Just realized my steel locking Mercedes branded tire caps are missing from two tires. I went in with 4 and two of the tires are replaced with gray plastic caps. I should have double checked before leaving, but I trust them to do a thorough job and replace items they take off. I have to now order replacements for the cheap caps they put on my tires.It was my first time at this location and I've been a loyal customer of the chain since the were called Discount Tires. Got here about 930am for a nail in my tire. The latest they said they'd have it done by was 1115 am and it's still in its parking spot. Never even moved it. I asked why was I the first in and last out. They just said they were jammed up. Sorry but they forgot my ride and now I'm late to make some money. Absolute worse service I've ever seen. Why get the insurance if I gotta wait all day for a nail repair. Not only did they do all this to me but I'm 3000 miles early for my first rotation and they told me all my tires were off balance. They put the tires on and balance them originally so I've been vibrating for 4000 miles because of incompetence. The only thing they got here is the tires you need but you'll regret getting them here. PS the big tall guy was who helped me not mentioning names but very unfriendly. You'll also notice the children working on your car are more interested in they're hair than wether they do a good job. Just watch them it's sad! read more

I like the store and the people who work there. What I don't understand is why they don't create better customer service when you walk into the store, and the first thing you have to do is stand in line before you can get help. While standing in line I did realize that I could call in and one of their people working the front counter would always answer the phone first before taking the next person in line. Maybe they should have someone else answering their phones in the back office so that everyone in line isn't getting frustrated. We have used America's TIre before in SoCal but I have never had an experience like I did a few days ago. The place was hopping busy and the gentlemen there greeted every customer, taking the time to explain what needed to be fixed. Made great suggestions and moved at an amazing pace. Nate assisted me and he was pleasant and helpful. He went with what I had asked and made different suggestion in case my option didn't work for the car. After the car was taken a tech came out and told me the additional problem and made a better suggestion. Not only did they balance the tires and rotate them but they didn't charge me anything for doing so. Amazing customer service and we will be back when we need to replace tires on our cars. I have been dealing with this company in various locations and even in different states. Some locations are listed as Discount Tires. Regardless, it is an awesome company, and, once they finished their huge remodeling project, this Redding location is the best place to go. Office staff is great. I have a Porsche Cayenne that requires a special size of tires, and, I usually trade them for new tires at around 50% tread, as I know that after that, they are no longer safe in my opinion. They have always worked with the tire mfr to get me a discount price on the new tires.
