Our truck notified us of low tire pressure in a rear tire while taking a family vacation to Lake Shasta while towing a boat. After pulling over and noticing a nail in the tire my husband asked me to find the closest tire shop that was also open at 9am that will also easily fit a boat thru their driveway. I'm big on looking at reviews and the 5 star reviews of this place quickly jumped out at me. True to the reviews, they took on the work immediately. We didn't even have to unload the kids from the car. Within 20 minutes our tire was fixed and sent on our way. They made sure to check our other tires pressure before sending us off. We were staying at the hotel next door to Tire Cobbler and when we went to leave this morning our vehicle would not start. After some assistance from the hotel maintenance guy (thanks whoever you are!!) we were able to get it started. Tire Cobbler was right next door so we pulled in for help. Turns out the starter was bad, so Shane and the team took real good care of our needs. We were able to drop the camper trailer in the back while Tire Cobbler fixed what needed to be fixed. It's possible the person we met was a not so friendly employee. Shane apologized for our bad experience and said he would never treat a customer that way... We arrived earlier than The Tire Cobbler opened and Shane was sure to let us know it. He told us that he wasn't open for another half hour, which was fine but the way he said it was off putting. It turned out that he was out of stock of our tire size. I asked if he knew any other shops around that could help us and he vaguely said there were several tire shops in another part of town. I asked for names of shops he thought might have tires in stock for us and he said he didn't know. The first shop we went to was much more helpful and personable. This place was recommended to me when I had a flat that needed fixing. It was day one of my driving vacation with my dogs and it was over 100° out. Shane, the owner, was great! He let me pull around back with my dogs so they wouldn't be on the hot pavement or left alone. He personally patched my tire, thankfully that was all that was needed. I only paid $15! I brought my damaged tire to Tire Cobbler today and Will fixed it as I waited. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. That's not always possible, of course, but there was an obvious desire on their part to give me fast service. Not only did Will fix it quickly, he made sure that my cargo space was protected from the dirt on the tire. I've always had very good service at this business. The owner works the front counter and the shop. So when you walk in you might have to wait to be helped, no more than 10 minutes or so. This shop rocks. If you need tires or emergency repair as I recently did on my bass boat trailer, Shane is the man. Very knowledgeable, skilled and honest! I had a screw in one of my four trailer tires while traveling from LA to Shasta. He properly and promptly patched it then removed all twenty lug nuts from all of my wheels, greased the studs and torqued the lug nuts so they can be removed by a lug wrench in case of a roadside emergency all for $20. They are very kind and helpful.I had a tire that kept going flat so I stopped in to get it fixed. They found a screw and repaired it quickly. I asked about the wear on my tires and asked if they should be rotated and he told me yes and an alignment would help prevent further wear. I have been to many shops in my life and was expecting a sales pitch. A tire repair that turns into new tire and shocks with anything else they can think of to charge. There was none no pressure what so ever. They gave me my keys and said have a nice day. I love that they answered my questions were extremely friendly and didn't try to guilt me into additional work. Shane and his cremate (sorry I cant remember his name) gave us a superb deal on the tires we purchased, put them on, and gave all our tires a fair inspection for absolutely no extra charge. We did not feel pressured and Shane seemed to genuinely care about the safety of our vehicle. Shane is an incredible gentleman and one day while waiting for my car, an older gentleman came in and Shane spent literally an hour trying to help him and this man was not even going to make a purchase from his store. We were looking for a new set of performance tires for our Jag F-Pace that met the speed requirements for our SUV. We received a quote from our regular go-to tire dealer which seemed very expensive. I started calling around and reached Shane at The Tire Cobbler. After explaining what I needed, he suggested the Hankook RH 06 which ran $700 less than the Pirellis we were originally quoted. Our other tire dealer tried to poo-poo the Hankook so my husband researched it and found excellent reviews. The tire has a 50k mile warranty and the shop offered free tire rotation and flat repair. They had to order the tires but they were there the next day. They were careful taking the tires on and off to protect the rims and I was in and out within 45 minutes. Their shop was clean and in a convenient and un-congested location which made parking easy. We are headed down to San Diego now for the holiday as I write and the ride is smooth, quiet and the tires handle nicely! Shane was very nice to work with and knowledgeable.
