The server warned us the black pepper curry is very hot - it is indeed worth a warning but if you like spicy food you would love it. The cocktails comparatively are not very impressive. There was outdoor dining with heating and social distancing was enforced. The staff was friendly and wore masks. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with this restaurant and found the food lacking. I ordered Fried Calamari and Toung Tong for appetizers and Pineapple Fried Rice and Chicken Pad Thai as entrées. Onto the food! I always get calamari whenever it's on the menu so naturally I decided to get it here as well. It was not very good. The serving size was decent for an appetizer. Bland and chewy, the calamari wasn't very well seasoned. The tempura was crunchy and had some seasoning but the squid was very bland and tasteless. The dipping sauce was a mix of sweet and tangy and was somewhat thick in terms of consistency. Overall, I would say the calamari was a 4/10. I've never had Toung Tong and decided to try it. It's a fried wonton with ground chicken, crab meat, shrimp, corn, green beans, and carrots and it comes with sweet plum dipping sauce. There were 5 pieces in a cute bowl. It was crunchy and the corn was very prominent. I felt like it was flavorful but could have been more flavorful. It seemed rather mild and dry as I expected a burst of juicy flavor. Overall, it was a 6/10. I love pineapple fried rice and it's one of my go-tos. While this pineapple fried rice was good, it wasn't amazing. I would say it was average in terms of taste. It was a decent portion and had a mix of chicken, shrimp, and squid. The chicken and shrimp were well cooked and the squid wasn't very chewy. There was a mild curry taste as the rice was infused with curry which went well with the pineapples, which were sweet and juicy. Overall, it was a standard pineapple fried rice that I would give a 6/10. Lastly is the pad thai, another favorite dish of mine. Like the fried rice, the pad thai was standard and the taste was nothing special. The portion was generous and there was a good amount of chicken. The noodles were soft and a good blend of sweet and tangy, and it was flavorful. Overall, I would say a 6/10. This restaurant is one I probably would not go out of my way to visit. It's great if you're in the area and want to grab a bite but it's not where I would go if I want really great Thai food. That being said, it might be a great spot for someone who has a sensitive palette or wants to try Thai food with a more subtle taste. Happy eating! read more

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere. We came in for a table for 3 and within a couple minutes we were able to get a table on a Friday night at 8pm. I ordered the Red Curry with chicken and it was amazing. The flavor was wonderful. I also had the Thai iced tea with milk and it was great as well. Nora Thai has a great selection of liquor as well. Service: Standard Asian-restaurant service. They acknowledged and seated us quickly. There was some time placing orders and getting the check, but nothing out of the ordinary. Food: I was eyeing the salty fish paste curry, which had a 2/3 spice level dish, but the server suggested I pick a 1/3 if I do not eat Thai spicy so often. Since I do not, I followed their suggestion. I did not detect much spice in the massaman beef, and I regretted not ordering the fish paste curry. The beef curry was otherwise unremarkable. Ambience: The décor was beautiful and set the mood. It was relatively empty on a Wednesday night, so it never got too loud. The bathroom was also an interesting set up. I appreciate the various displays throughout the restaurant. Value: The curry was $16, which is on par for the area. I went to Nora this weekend for Dinner and I have to say I was not disappointed. The food tasted fresh and cane out quick. The waiter was attentive and very nice. We had for appetizers Chicken Gyoza, and Crab Rangoon. Both were amazing. I also had the Chicken Pad Thai and my bf had the Grilled Chicken Breast which were tasteful and were good portions. I had the chance to try the watermelon martini and my bf had the lychee iced tea and again it was amazing. The ambience is just right they had music playing and at the same time it felt like a romantic setting. The restaurant is overall beautiful very big and nice. Of course We went on a day where it had possible rain showers and then lol it rained. Good thing the owner allowed us to do dine indoors (they follow the proper protocols and was safe) The food was very delicious... I ordered the crab fried rice (some shell was still in it which is the only CON to my order) my friends LOVED their meal. You must try the MANGO GINGER drink YUMMY CON Not sure if it's because no one has been Inside but the chairs and pillows were a bit smelly. And I saw some mouse traps behind our chair when I was leaving out. I don't like to assume but that's usually not a good thing. I remembered this place with different Thai name way back when. The motif, decor and ambience are exactly the same as its predecessor. We were led at the back of the restaurant and soon enough our server came to us and took our orders. We decided to share a pork and shrimp fried dumplings and they get a favorable review from us. My partner ordered chicken Pad See Ew and it tasted pretty good. As for myself I ordered one of their specialty of Cua Krang; a dried curry with ground pork. The dish was spicy but that was about it. I have dreams of their Pad See Ew ($15) - the texture of their noodles is perfectly chewy and well-seasoned. We came with a large group for happy hour and I have to say, their drinks are really good! During happy hour, Ginger Mangoritas are $8, Lychee-Tini are $7, Chicken Wings are $7, Chicken Gyoza $8.50, Calamari $17, Crispy Spring Rolls $7, Edamame $4, Fried Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings $7, Mango Mojito $8, Veggie Dumplings $6. Some entrees we ordered afterwards were pad thai ($15), Green Curry Salmon $21, crispy half-chicken ($17), padd kee-mao aka drunken noodle ($15), and crab fried rice ($20). It felt like walking around in Thailand. No I haven't been yet but I'm sure this place mimics it very well. Art was displayed throughout a beautiful statute as you enter. Even in the communal restroom there are art pieces. It's set up like a museum in there. The cutest sink fashioned from a old standing bathtub. The food was amazing. Family,3 of us ordered for starters the chicken curry puffs (simply delishes and flaky) thai summer rolls (refreshing) shrimp rolls(hot and crispy). Entrees were shrimp pad see ew, chicken basil and crab fried rice (nice big flaky pieces of crab). Cocktails ginger mangorita and leeche martini extremely good. The flat noodles from the pad see ew was a great texture. The service was great and attentive but it was very fast. I still didn't finish all my appetizers and they bought out my entrees, with the tables being so small you can only fit so much on it before it gets crowded. My friend came into town on a layover and wanted to grab some dinner so we found this random spot in Williamsburg. We ate outside due to the mandates but it's unfortunate because the outdoor heater wasn't that great and they were playing such good music inside (R&B and Soul). So we couldn't hear anything unless we went in to use the restroom. We ordered the calamari and the spring rolls as appetizers. The spring rolls had the right amount of crunch/flakiness. The calamari had good flavor and texture as well. For the main course, i just asked for a regular shrimp pad Thai. The menu had so many options it was hard to choose from which is a good problem to have as a pescatarian but because we were kind of pressed for time before the kitchen closed, I chose whatever came to mind. My friend had a rice dish. We both enjoyed our meals. I finished everything on my plate but the apps. My friend also ordered a tea which is presented really nicely with a candle underneath to keep it hot but the wind blew the candle out so that was pointless. They don't have honey but they offered simple syrup instead. The service was good. They were on top of the bussing and checking on us. The bathrooms were also nice. The look of the establishment itself was well designed (except for the outside). It wasn't that fun. Overall it was a great find-I'd go back when the weather is better. read more

The interior feels like a museum. I love all the decor. There's ton of space inside. Came on a slow Saturday afternoon. Food came out quickly and servers were nice/attentive. Got the fried calamari, green curry with chicken, and lychee Thai iced tea, which I've never seen before. Everything was delicious. The curry had a nice kick. Would not recommend. All these places keep popping up that are all about vibes and aesthetics but the food sucks. I'd rather eat somewhere small and unassuming with really good food than somewhere that just coasts on vibes and has bad food. Maybe that's just me. Anyway, if you're in the area and hungry try birds of a feather instead. The ambiance was also very culturally Thai and feels as if you're really in a local Thai restaurant with wooden tables and decor and beautifully decorated interiors. Update: The restaurant reached out to me and is trying to deflect blame and deny that the incident even happened. Pretty ridiculous. Definitely never coming back again. The "owner" claims he apologised, yet he did not. I wish the energy they're putting into replying to me on Yelp was the same energy they put into seating us. We were never offered an apology at the time of the incident either - we were yelled at to "just wait a couple more minutes". It should also be noted that I emailed the restaurant as soon as the incident happened, and they never got back to me. Wandering around aimlessly on Christmas Day brought us to this spot, which had open outdoor seating with heat lamps. No one else around so was able to quickly get a table for two. Decided on the Massaman Chicken ($13) to go along with a Jack & Ginger Cocktail ($12). Drink comes out first - an interesting mix of jackfruit puree, vodka, and bitters. Would have liked it a bit stronger, but loved the jackfruit flavor. Food arrived shortly after, a medium-sized bowl of chunky chicken swimming in a sweetish curry. Great flavor in the curry and the chicken is cooked well without being chewy. Only complaint is that it could have used some more spice. Service here is fantastic (as we were the only ones there). I had the chicken pad Thai. The Chicken and Shrimp dumplings as well as the curry curry puff. The food was delight and came out rapidly. Surprisingly fast. Getting seated was took a few minutes and getting the drink took longer than desired. The person seating also walks the tables serving water and checking orders. They need some more staff to make that transition smoother. The look of the establish was as advertised. It's a beautiful interior. I'd definitely go back to try more of their menu.
