    GiGi Udon Chicken Satay
    Justin M.

Came here last minute on a Saturday night around 10 PM on a recommendation from my roommate, and it exceeded expectations! Ordering was super seamless with the self-service kiosk, and the service was quick, efficient, and extremely accommodating. The vibe both inside and outside is top-tier. Got the GiGi Udon Chicken Satay--the broth was so rich and flavor-packed, and the chicken was perfectly charred. Absolute 5/5 spot!

We had been waiting for this place to open for a bit! We ordered delivery from here last night and while we'd love to this GiGi's again, we had some thoughts. The Massaman Peanut Curry Udon Noodles with crispy pork was fantastic. Everything about it was good, especially the sauce and pork. However, we were underwhelmed by the size of this. For the price, we expected almost a third more of what came. It wasn't enough for one person's dinner. We also ordered the Wonton Peanut Massaman Sauce because there was a BOGO deal. The ground chicken and shrimp wrapped the thin wonton wrapping was fantastic and the sauce was thick and yummy too. Finally, we had the Chili Crispy Tofu BOGO. This was really good, but could have been crispier and i feel like it needed a side sauce that came with it to help mellow out the spice. We would try GiGi's again for sure and hope to dine-in one as well.

Pok pok with bbq roast pork over noodles: Overly sweet sauce over the noodles. Bbq pork was pretty good. The little fried pork skin was great. Noodles were perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, would not order again. The first bite was interesting and tasty, but after a few bites, the sweetness is overwhelming. Wish it came with some broth to dilute the sweetness. The Gigi curry was also too sweet. The steak add on was flavorful and tasty by itself but overpowered by the sweetness from the curry sauce. Friendly staff and cute small restaurant. There's some seating outdoor as well.

The place is a cute little Thai spot with only a few seats but it is definitely worth a try. We started off with the Chili Lotus Roots which were nice and crunchy and had a seasoning on top that really reminded us of takis. Then for the man dishes we got Pok Pok Combo Pork and the Massaman Peanut Curry which comes with a choice of noodles (we chose egg noodles) and a topping for an extra price (we did chicken satay for $5). Both of these noodles were great! I do have to say that if you are a savory and savory only person however, these are not the dishes for you. Both noodles were savory with a nice sweetness to it with the Pok Pok Combo Pork being just a tad bit sweeter. The noodles were also a nice and bouncy texture. The Thai Tea Latte did not look like the picture online so we were a little disappointed but the flavor was definitely a hit! It had a strong Thai tea flavor and it was not too sweet and paired perfectly with our dishes. The store is set up more like a take out place because you order from your phone regardless of whether you dine in or not but the staff do come over and serve your food to your table. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. I will definitely be trying more of their noodles in the future!

We got braised beef udon soup, massaman peanut curry with udon, satay chicken with peanut sauce, thai tea, and coconut matcha cloud. The udon noodles in both dishes are a bit overcooked. All the dishes came out very quickly but they forgot we ordered drinks till we told them. Seating is pretty separate and the restroom is very very tiny. But the food is overall alright and soup was lacking flavor but it was herby. My wife enjoyed her curry. My friend felt the chicken was ok but not warm enough nor very seasoned. He felt the peanut sauce was very good. The Thai drink was over 60% ice that it was hard for you to poke your straw through but it's very good. The coconut matcha cloud was an interesting mix of flavors.

My friend & I came here after yoga and omg so good ! They are new and still getting their bearings but everyone was so sweet and friendly. Small shop but cute and quaint. I got the massaman curry with tofu and my friend got the green pesto curry (spicy) with steak. Everything was flavorful cooked well and balanced. They offered us green tea before eating which was really nice and in cute mugs. I also got a matcha oat iced latte which I could tell was high quality matcha by the taste and no sugar needed. Nice and smooth. Funny thing is we also got a few things to go while still eating. So I also recommend the curry puffs and the peanut noodles. This will definitely be my new take out spot and where I'll go when I'm in the neighborhood.

the chicken curry was rich and delicious!!! exactly what i would want in terms of flavor, almost like a panang curry but not as thick. the chicken was great as well, juicy and flavorful. got it with rice since we got the pork belly noodle dish, as well - didn't know how it would be but i was happy with our choice! the bowl was swimming in sauce though, but no complaints! i would personally skip on the pork belly if i were to go again. it wasn't crispy, and did not top the chicken. but everything else was good and the tom yum had great flavor.

This just came from heaven! Mango Rice Pudong. Yummmm :-)

Love this place! Never disappoints. Everything is made fresh and super delicious. Such a nice addition to the neighborhood.

Absolutely delicious!! Ordered the mango salad, the Gigi curry with chicken and Udon noodle soup with braised beef. Also got Thai tea latte and macha latte. All great! Very kind and attentive staff!

This little gem tucked in bushwick had the most amazing curry ever. We got the Gigi Curry with fried tofu and wowed us with their flavor. Such comfort food! Staff was amazing and so so welcoming with awesome service and ambiance.

Pesto green curry with gluten free noodles and steamed tofu (gluten free alternative to fried)

The BEST curry I've ever had. My bf and I stopped in today and received the warmest welcome with green tea on the house! I had questions about their gluten free options, and the owner and chef were incredibly helpful. They even made sure the food was not too spicy once it was served. We will DEFINITELY be back and will be recommending this place to everyone we can! Adorable decor, affordable prices, and quick service as well. 10/10 experience.

The mix of a thousand island type sauce with ketchup made this burger a 10/10. The sesame bun gives the burger a great softness with all the other textures. + the fries gave me the feeling of an elevated mcdonald's fry! caesar salad was perfect. Lots of lettuce, not overly anchovy and just the croutons were soft and crisp at the same time? very much enjoyed how big of a portions all of these items were. chicken parm sauce was tangy and had good flavoring with the perfect melted cheese on top of the soft but crisp edges of the chicken. i'd highly recc all three items we got! service was quick once we got seated and was nice to be outside in the warm weather.

Portions were huge, so I couldn't imagine having 3 entrees between the three of us and an app. Chips and dip was by far the stand out for me, with an oniony dip and home style chips, picture attached. Delish!!!! People next to us got a brownie Sunday that was divine looking, so we ended up getting that to split which was also phenomenal. Waiter was super friendly and very attentive. Loved!

Delicious delivery from here!…read more My fiancée and I shared two Pitanga Açaí Bowls and each had a Pao de Queijo. The acai bowls were yummy and had a good mix of everything and this is a solid choice. I loved the coconut flakes on them! The Pao de Queijo breads were almost shaped like muffins and had an interesting, texture but were super cheesy and I would definitely order again. Chicken was flavorful and moist, the focaccia was decent (needed more indicators of a real focaccia (dimpled indentations on top, olive oil forward exterior, etc) but it was good. It's also very filling so it's worth the $22. I would have preferred a whole grilled chicken patty instead of chopped grilled chicken but flavor wise it's not a big deal. Fries are classic shoestring fries. Akin to a McDonald's fry in appearance but less oily and salty (good thing). Lattes were good but nothing special. Pão de queijo (cheesy bread) was also very good. Classic flavor. Nothing that stands out though. Would return, but it's not a first choice.

I wanted to love it so much especially since TikTok critic/MMA fighter Keith Lee visited them in 2023, but my experience was not like his. I want to say that online reviews are almost about accurate. They were out of cold salads and collard greens which was an issue for other customers at times as well. No problem, they were super helpful and offered an alternative but not a good one. I had steamed vegetables that mashed in my mouth like mashed potatoes when I took a bite. I did end up going to another spot for collard greens and potato salad because you can't have soul-food without that. I had the rib dinner with mac n cheese and yams and a tiny piece of complimentary cornbread. The ribs definitely taste amazing but they don't take off the membrane in the back which is slimy and gross. I left that part behind. The yams were sweet and good BUT.....that mac n cheese is NOT soul-food Mac n cheese. Here's the thing I figured out, they use such little cheese but season the noodles very well that you don't truly notice unless you love mac n cheese, which I do, so I noticed it lacked so much cheese but had seasoned noodles. The rib dinner was a 3/5 because ribs were great but sides needed help. I had rice and peas as an additional side and fried wings. The wings were ATROCIOUS! I ate the smallest one and didn't eat the rest. How can you serve such huge feathered wings like that? It was a nightmare. The feathers being on it turned me off. This tells me they don't make their food with care, they move quick to be one and done and I want my food cooked with love and care. They were also frozen wings that were thawed and seasoned, I know the difference. The rice and peas were okay 3/5 as well. Overall the food was not worth the hype. Customer service was beautiful for sure but the food was not it.

I have heard a lot about Stowaway and wanted to come here and see for myself what the fuss is…read moreabout. I also heard of their $1 happy hour oysters, which is always a draw for me, so dining here was a natural choice. The establishment looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but as soon as you walk in, you are transported in time to a cozy, vintage themed café with a small bar and a few tastefully scattered tables. I glanced over the raw oysters on another table and was very unimpressed by their miniature size. Also, unlike what their website states, the happy hour oysters are actually $1.50 each, which I found slightly annoying and maybe they should work on updating their website. Instead of going the raw route, I ordered the charbroiled oysters off the happy hour menu to start. I also heard their hush puppies are really famous and so I wanted to give them a try as well. For my main entrée, I saw another patron with a chicken sandwich and I ordered it. The hush puppies were really good, slightly on the sweet side with a fluffy corn batter, crunchy exterior. The dipping sauce that came on the side was actually a molasses butter, which was to die for. I do think that the hush puppies were a little bit on the greasier side, I could see that the insides had soaked in some oil which is never good for a fried item. They should probably work on frying these at a better temperature to keep the dish light and not as greasy. The chicken sandwich I was expecting from the looks of it for the chicken fillet to be meatier and thicker, but, when I bit into it, it was a lot more breading than I thought it would be with very little chicken. The side of pickles that came with the sandwich were absolutely delicious and really held a sandwich together because all that grease really needed a solid pickle to cut through it and these pickles did exactly that. I would love if they served even more of those on the side with the sandwich. The salad that came on the side of my sandwich was bright, well seasoned and delicious and not drowning and olive oil, which I appreciated. The charbroiled oysters were honestly a disappointment. This is a dish that probably would've worked well if they were using larger size oysters, but the topping to oyster ratio was just really off. The whole thing was extremely salty and the sauces on the oysters completely overpowered the oyster flavor. These were served with sourdough bread, which was a nice touch because the bread carries the sauce from the oysters very well. The oysters themselves had a lot of grease and then the toasted bread was also very greasy. I think that's one thing that I really did not like about this place is that their food was EXTREMELY GREASY. Normally food with fried components is not supposed to be this heavy but having this meal actually made me feel ill afterwards, and I only ate half of everything and had mad leftovers. I hope that they can improve on certain things based on my feedback. Service was friendly, it's a small space and it's not too hard to get a server's attention. I think their menu has so much potential. If they could just make a few need changes to elevate the quality of their food, this would be easily a five star establishment.

I'd say it lives up to the hype, but not the absolute best I've ever had. The kielbasa was smoky and delicious, also enjoyed all of the pierogi we tried (which was nearly all options). I'd say the fruit pierogi (strawberry and blueberry) were the weakest. Pretty plain, but I wasn't expecting anything crazy. The golabki with mushroom gravy had me envious, it was REALLY good and an interesting departure from the typical tomato sauce you typically get. The Bloody Mary was solid; love that it comes with a pierogi speared on. We really enjoyed the crepe to finish off the meal. Just a solid crepe, nothing super unique going on. Definitely a great option if you're looking to try solid Polish food, I can see why it's so highly regarded.

For 5 people, we ordered just about the whole menu. We probably could've gone with 10 dishes…read moreinstead of the 12 that we ordered. I would rank the piergois in the following order. Kaszanka Pierogi (blood sausage) Jalapeno Pierogie Tatarskie (potatoes, eggs, dill, scallion, bacon) Spinach Potato & Cheese Sauerkraut & Mushroom / Meat Don't skip out on the red borscht. Even a friend who doesn't like beetroot enjoyed it. It felt hearty, warm, comforting to the stomach. The croquette was good but we got the meat filling which has a texture of tuna, which we weren't a fan. The kielbasa dish was good- It was a meaty sausage and it wasn't overly salty and the fried pierogi was excellent. The stuffed cabbage was good. Just know it's boiled cabbage leaves wrapped around the same filling as the pierogi choice. The harvest salad was good to break up all the pierogi but it does come with 3 more pieces of pierogi (we had fried jalapeno). I'm sad to say the crepe wasn't the same as the one I had in Poland so I was so disappointed. It was closer to a french crepe. It's a soft thin skin of a crepe with a cheese filling topped with a very light whipped cream. The highlight was the pierogis. I think they're catered to our tastes. The skin was on the thin side. If I were to come back, I'd order the same menu, minus the sauerkraut & mushroom and meat filling pierogis. I would also order the borscht, kielbasa, and harvest salad again.
