Sorry they are a no for me. Took my truck in for a 3-4 hr job, tech broke a hose fitting and didn't have another. That's fine sh*t happens. My problem is they never called me to say it wouldn't be done that day.(I had to call them at 5:00 pm to find this out). It's now 6:30 pm the next day and not a word from them. I'm guessing I won't get my truck back today either. NOT HAPPY! I shouldn't have to call them every day. Lesson learned. read more

I would highly recommend Norcal diesel to anybody seeking maintenance or repairs on a diesel engine. On two separate occasions my work truck has had issues. Ram of Sacramento told me it would be a week to get parts and complete the repair. I was introduced to Juan and Norcal diesel through a friend and I could not be more grateful for that introduction. Juan was able to get my work truck back on the road in two days. This business understands the importance of keeping work trucks on the road and in service, and did everything in their power to make that a reality for me when the actual dealership could not. My truck is currently running better than it did before the repairs. Juan also recommended and additive for my fuel that will help with my DPF system. Brought my truck in for overheating issue replace water pump drove off overheated again came back put on fan clutch drove off overheated again came back and still overheating and then they said it was blown head gasket after the first two times they said it was not broke my fan shroud broke my fan my truck is still broken down and not repaired I am not happy they do not stand behind their work and they are not very good diesel mechanics would not recommend going to these guys they ruined my truck taking them to court see pictures very sad thank you read more

We had issues leaving on vacation so our vehicle went to another place in town. I had just serviced my truck where I live in Santa Cruz. I had been evacuated and came out to Yuba/Oroville area to stay with family. Out of the blue my Excursion's alternator went out. Stranded away from home, I panicked and called the nearest service to me. I am so glad I did! Not only would they help me, but they took me in the second I called. The bad news was that the Powerstroke 6.4 diesel in my EarthRoamer developed a leaky head gasket...the good news is that I found NorCal Diesel in Yuba City CA to make the repairs. Juan and Adrian are the master mechanics that specialize in Ford Powerstroke Diesel engines and everything related to Super-Duty trucks. I met with them to discuss the work and gave them the bad news that the work had to be done with the cab on because of the cab over camper configuration of my EarthRoamer. This struck fear in the eyes of other shops that I talked with, but they said no problem...we'll just pull the engine out the front. I told them that I needed this truck rock solid reliable for a multi-year trip to South America and asked them for recommendations to bullet proof this engine while they had it out of the truck. We decided on new KDD O-Ring heads, ARP studs, BPD water pump, oil cooler, coolant filter and Mishimoto radiator. They carefully inspected everything on disassembly and found issues with wear on the front timing cover, HP fuel pump, rocker arms, PS brake line and the bed plate seal. They took pictures of all the issues they found and explained them to me. I wanted to get all this taken care of while the engine was out to eliminate the need for future major engine repairs. They completed the repairs and even installed an S&B air intake to improve engine performance and some BPD bling all covered under the original quote! I would highly recommend NorCal Diesel for all your truck maintenance and repairs.
