I've been to many different Nordstrom Racks and this one lived up to my expectations. They have a wide variety of clothing options, including a huge shoe department. The store is quite large and well organized. Multiple employees asked me if I needed help with anything and were very friendly. The store was not super busy, but I went at an off time. I like that I am able to use my Nordstrom credit card here and that my purchases here contribute to the points I earn. This store is a great option for people looking for Nordstrom quality with a more budget-friendly option. I will definitely return to this location! read more

I spoke with the manager Jocelyn regarding that the shoes did not fit properly. They caused my feet to swell. I had them for 13 days. I could have cleaned the soles easily. I drive 30 minutes to get to this location and they would not take them back. So the customer isn't ever right here. I will never shop there again. I took a bridesmaid dress here for alterations (shortening and taking in the dress, including where the zipper was) and was happy with the service and outcome received! The seamstress seemed kind and understanding, and the dress was ready on the exact date promised when I first came in. Thank you also for fixing a spot in the fabric that had seemingly snagged/scratched and for steaming the final product! Services were pricy (and had to be paid up front), since the dress was not from the store, but I would consider this Nordstrom Rack again with future alterations needs. read more

Nothing to complain about. This is your typical Rack. Good selection, decent prices. If you read the reviews, those complaining either want to return things without receipts or are part of the entitled migration from a certain state on the left most side of the country who didn't leave their pushy, rude attitudes behind. Listen up y'all, the vast majority of folks from that particular state are friendly and grateful to be here and are all in for the southern values. My sweet bride is one of them. I have not been that impressed with Nordstrom Rack lately and that's how this one was. There was makeup and skincare for regular price in here. If you're paying regular price who is going to Nordstrom Rack? They had some more expensive merchandise in front in locked cabinets but I never really saw anything too appealing. Like the other reviewers said - this place is a hot mess. In the event that you don't have your receipt, but you have an item (with Nordstrom rack tags) they will not let you exchange for the exact same item in another size. Instead - you will get a great lecture from the lead cashier on their suppliers, and why if they did the right thing it would be bad. Clearly - this store puts its suppliers and poor service over customers. There is clearly a reason why the TJ Maxx next door is 10x busier. Great move loosing another customer. read more

Sad excuse for a department store. I've shopped her several times with my daughter and while I'll say she has found some real gems, you have to really hunt for them. She found a pair of good American jeans at a fraction of the retail price and several pairs of designer shoes. This place is a hot mess. One issue that plagues my visits is that no swaps of the same product but a different size can be done without a receipt, even if you have the same credit card and the item is clearly from Nordstrom Rack. I normally carry my receipts, but I've been caught twice without them and absolutely no exchanges can be made (most stores allow this). The most glaring issue is the wait time. It's obvious as soon as you walk into the store. The cash registers are understaffed, with typically only three of the six check-out slots filled. The line is often 20-30 people long, and even 10-20 during off-peak hours. It's great that they're doing solid business, but when multiple employees are milling about and don't pitch in, it's frustrating. There are frequent price checks on items that are mismarked or unmarked, and apparently the person they're radioing for the price check is perpetually asleep in the back. That easily contributes to the line length. The cashiers will also go around and around for five minutes trying to convince you to register your phone number with them and to get a Nordstrom card to get discounts. I understand this is a requirement, but they length of the sales pitch adds to the sloth-paced check-out process. It's just atrocious inefficiency. Perhaps they need a few more employees, a better system, or simply a carefully monitored self-checkout section. read more

Shopped online & got burned so bad. Ordered a suitcase over a month ago & never heard a word from Nordstrom Rack, looked out for it - not everyday - but thought it would eventually arrive. No luck. Had to get on the phone & find out that it was lost. No supply issues, they just lost it and didn't every contact us to tell us. So . . . we could place ANOTHER order and get a replacement at that original price. Couldn't do that b/c of some ridiculous reason re: our street address. It was incorrect or something. (It has worked well for us in the past!) So we cancelled the reorder & will NEVER ever shop from them again. Oh and for fun, they took the money out over a month ago. From PayPal. HIT OR MISS - I always love coming here in the hopes it's going to be a hit! Sales today was extra 40% off clearance! Unfortunately I didn't find anything great. But there's a couple things... 1. I love ordering online especially higher end items like Tory Burch sandals 2. I have found some amazing shoes and a couple bridesmaid dresses/ dresses for weddings, and some great OPI colors, jeans, all things Madewell, and purse/bags. I bought some shoes at the Rack online that were defective (missing eyelet). I went to return them to the Brentwood Rack location, but the return line was closed and I was told to wait in the regular line, which was wrapped around the store. Since I did not have an hour to wait in line to return a pair of shoes, I left. Later I tried to return the shoes online, but Nordstrom said it was too late and denied my return. This store is grossly mismanaged and I will never return to it. read more

The Good: Good selection of top brands at nice price. The Bad: will not allow an exchange for the exact same product in a different size without receipt. The Narrative: my wife purchased a pair of shorts for me from Nordstrom Rack as a gift. The COVID lockdown increased my waist size (LOL) so I needed a larger size. I put the shorts in my car and thought when I was in the area I would exchange for a different size (even swap). They refused to do an even swap for a different size without a receipt. They offered no explanation other than; "that's our policy." They were unable to explain the purpose of or reasoning behind that policy. So...I left the store with the wrong sized shorts and their "policy" probably cost them a few hundred dollars that I would have spent in the store today...dumb. read more

I ordered a blanket from Nordstrom Rack. It said it was shipped. Then the tracking said my package was lost. I called customer service. They said that they actually ran out of the color I ordered, but could reorder in a different color. So, they refunded my original order, reordered a different color for me and recharged me. It been a few weeks and now I just received another refund for the second blanket. No email saying it was canceled or anything. Not very happy. read more

Very frustrating experience. We went shopping for 1.5 hours and went to the fitting room to try on some of the clothes. We left our cart with several other items outside the fitting room with the other carts. When we came out 10 mins later, we found our cart empty. The elderly gentlemen had put all our items back in the store. When we approached him about it, he told us to go "re-shop" to find everything we had left in our cart. 1.5 hours worth of looking for clothes wasted. We only had the 5 items we took into the fitting room. 2 other females who left their carts found the same problem. Ridiculous. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the front desk cashier was incredibly kind. But the elderly man needs to be reassigned. You wasting my time. read more

Normally I won't rate a business this low publicly but this time I will make an exception. I bought a red Prada sneaker about two months ago. The shoe was 650 originally but was on sale for 159.99. I was super excited for the great deal which you can not find anywhere else. So that is a plus plus for this store. However, the great deal turned out to be not so great at all. Because I love the shoe so much, I decided to only wear the shoe out occasionally and the Saturday of the Memorial weekend was that special day. I wore the shoe out for the very first time to the club and a few people stepped on my shoe. The next morning when I get up, I took the shoe out to the sink in my kitchen to rinse off the dirt before I put it back in its box. To my own surprise, the moment the shoes touched the water, the red dye started to ooze out kind of like red wine. The oozing of the red dye would not stop and I ended up rinsing the whole shoes. It got pretty messy and stained both of my hand. Took me almost 40 minutes to squeeze the shoes like a kitchen sponge to get all the red stuff out. Honestly, I don't think the red dye will stop oozing out so I quit and tried to wipe off the red dye from the white midsole and outsole to limit the damage to the shoes. At the end, the shoes went from bright red to a burgundy with white stitches became red stitches. I was pretty upset with the purchase. On Memorial day, I took the shoes to the store and talk to one of the manager hoping she would understand the situation and refund my money. But the moment she talk I knew she will try to shift the blame on me to take the responsibility off the store. I have to admit it, she is a smart one. Here is what she had to say: 1. I don't know anything about shoes care (should not use tap water to rinse the dirt of the shoes) 2. Do not wear the shoes out when it rain or use an umbrella to keep the shoes from getting wet. 3. She draw some comparison between the leather shoes and the leather jacket in terms of don't get them wet. 4. Call Prada 5. Went on some more about shoes care (asked for the care instruction on the this pair of shoes and/or of similar type. Did not provide and said her phone is dead) If I knew before hand that I have to go to all these trouble just to keep the shoes from getting wet I probably would not have bought it. Imagine this, if I was to wear this pair of shoes out and the rain came down, I would have be in a whole lot of trouble. The movements of my feet and the pressure on the shoes would have cause the red dye to come oozing out which probably would have stained both my socks, my feet, and the bottom of my pant or jean. What if I have a weird allergic reaction to the red dye? Bottom line is, this is a pair of PRADA shoes. Obviously, this is a quality control issue since the shoes were made in Vietnam and not Italy. Clearly, the shoes is a defect and worth the attention of Nordstrom Rack. The same day, I called the Nordstrom Rack 1-800 number and talked with this very nice lady over the phone. She even said this is a rare occurrence and the store should have allowed me to return the shoes. She said there is nothing she can do since it is up to the manager discretion at that store and she completely understand my frustration. Luxury sneakers like Prada should not behave in this way specifically since it is just water at the kitchen sink. She even give me two different phone numbers to the corporate office. At this point I will keep the shoes. The dye came out so much that the color of the shoes changed to burgundy thoroughly. The only issue I have now is to get the red dye off of the bottom rubber part of the shoes and keep the shoes out of water at all cost. read more

Decent selection and you can sometimes fine a good hidden gem, but the customer service coming from managers are atrocious. Went in to return a pair of shoes that I had worn around the house. I was going back and forth on deciding to keep them or not, and decided against keeping them. The manager would not accept them since they were "worn". They looked just as when I had bought them--soles included. If you ask me, they aren't any more worn than other shoes customer's try on and walk around in the store! I generally have an ok experience, but this one in particular left a very bad taste in my mouth. The frontline associate was great and super helpful, but the manager was awful. She could learn a thing or two about customer service from her employees. read more

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. It was a little rainy outside & the place was packed. This was my first time in the place. I've been to the normal Nordstrom at Green Hills. They've got some great stuff but also some $$$ stuff. We needed to look for something to wear for the Kentucky Derby, you know, brightly colored pants & some kind of sport coat/jacket. The men's section here is pretty large, which makes me happy. It can be annoying to go into a store & the men's section is only 1/10 the store size. I would say here it's more like 1/5 the size. I found some blue pants on clearance for $35 bucks. Originally like $198 & then marked down to the racks price of 90ish. The girl at the dressing room was friendly every time I stopped over to collect my number of items & for her to unlock the door. The cashier who checked me out was an older woman who wasn't having it. The jacket I found was $150 bucks, which seemed to be one of the cheaper ones. I saw a few jackets for $800. Too rich for my blood. I was a little disappointed in the selections of belts. read more

This has become a terrible place to shop. They don't have the staff needed to run a store like this, so the lines are always huge. I waited 45 minutes to pay last time and now I'm standing in another huge line as I write this. The dressing rooms have been closed every time I've come in. The signs say it is for Heath reasons, but the staff told me it is because they don't have people to work them. So it means everyone has to stand in line to buy and then stand in line again to return. The time wasted has become greater than the money saved. read more

This Return line is still a complete pain. If the point is to be a quick way to return then that's what it should be and it shouldn't be allowed to be used for returns/purchases. Only person in line, someone was checking out when I walked up with a full cart, cashier had to get sunglasses cases, the whole process took an incredibly long time. Finally a second register came directly returns (as it had backed up with three or four more people), but I still would have made it through the purchase line faster and the original person was still checking out when i was finished. As always, they are friendly and the store has great finds which is why I still give 3 stars. read more

Yay! Nordstrom Rack has arrived in TN!! I've been a huge fan of 'The Rack's offerings on the West Coast for quite some time and based on their grand opening on Saturday, lots of other people were anxiously awaiting their arrival as well. So, yes....the rumors are true that you can score fahhhbulous Kate Spade, Coach, Nike, Free People, Guess....and a zillion other labels for about 50% of what you would pay in Nordstroms. What separates Nordstrom Rack from other 'designer finds' places (I'm looking at you TJ Maxx) is that you won't be finding the designer names mixed in with weird off label stuff. Everything here is designer my friends. Styles are current, items are not damaged and there is ample stuff on their clearance racks. You will make out like a bandit on sure fire high end items in well stocked areas like cosmetics, luggage, toiletries and socks. Things will be more hit or miss in shoes and jeans, although this location has the biggest shoe section I've ever seen. Active wear is cute, but WAY too small in my opinion and woe, I pity the fashionable males of Nashville, because you are limited to a thin strip of the store (sorry boys!). The minus' are parking....I mean, its better than Green Hills mall, but not by much. There are some seriously old and vicious old ladies who will wait for-evah for a spot no matter how many people are behind them. Ditch the car far away and walk friends. There's also no place to plop your man (because he won't be shopping his section for long). I saw zero seating. Also, the place is definetely not up to snuff on labelling racks and sizes and it was far more chaotic than normal Racks' are. I'm sure it was a glitch of setting up a new location as Racks are generally incredibly well organized and its easy to find your way around. Don't worry...I'll go back and check for y'all and see if they are 5-star worthy. A couple protips: Do NOT stand in the check out line. The first day line was insane! In each department, there is a person in a bright green shirt by a pole that can check you out lickety split with their iPod. I suggest heading the menswear. There was only one other pro-shopper who knew about this and was in line ahead of me. The 'regular' line had easily 100 people and 20 cashiers. Cray-cray!! Also, check out their Nordstrom debt card online to get Nordstrom bucks...something like an additional 10% off. Its not something I've done before, but I've never lived in a town with a Rack, and my friends tell me the perks are worth it. Omg!!!!!!! The best trip to Nashville ever!! I have been drooling to visit this store when I saw they were building it around Sept '14!!! Finally made it and let me tell you my heart skipped a beat as I walked through the door...racks upon racks of designer items!! I took me 6 hours to go through everything and I got some great deals!! My favorite item were these Kurt Geiger Pumps for 550 dollars, but the steal price of 189!!!!! The best place everrr! Have to pace yourself or you will have past due rent and car note!!!!! read more

This particular one has a good selection, but because I like a bargain on top of another bargain, this Nordstrom rack doesn't have a large enough clearance selection yet because it's so new. If you dig hard enough you will find a hidden gem. Most items are not "Nordstrom Worthy". Problem I have with this store is everytime I walk in I get hot with the bad smell in there. Smells like feet or a gym locker room. It's bad. The store is usually a mess even when they open. Manger needs to take pride in their store. I've never really been to a regular Nordstrom store so I'm not able to review this store in comparison to the normal concept. The store is rather large mostly stocked with clothes, purses, and shoes. The reduced prices seem to be slashed the most for the clothes and shoes. The designer brand bags and luggage are almost the same price as the original mark up, so if you're looking for a discount you might want to do some price comparisons elsewhere before purchasing one here. I did find some designer sneakers about half off from the original price and the found the footwear selection to be rather nice. There's not much in the way of housewares or accessories but hopefully since this is a new store, they'll get more inventory. Check out was fast and the cashiers seem cheerful and courteous even on the day after Christmas. read more

I could not park and get into Nordstrom Rack fast enough. I was so excited to visit this new location in Brentwood. I wanted to give the crowds some time to die down since the initial opening. I walked in the front door, and was overwhelmed with excitement. I could have bought 18 things in there on my first visit. The prices are fabulous, the brands are numerous, and the styles are wondrous. I cannot wait to add this to my list of shopping venues for the future. I avoid the mall at all cost if possible, and Nordstrom Rack has a convenient store front in a well known shopping mall in Brentwood. The only issue will be the craziness at Christmas, and when the new apartment are built behind the shopping center. read more
