Love Marti & Liz Shies! I can always depend on finding exactly what I need when I am in a pinch. It's a boutique clothing, purse and shoe store. They have a great selection of shoes at discounted prices. From casual sandals, sneakers, boots to dressy shoes for a black tie affair, you can find it there, If you are lucky, you can find a pair of designer shoes at a real bargain. Tney have all sizes. Inventory changes frequently so stop by often. I needed some "bling" shoes for a sneaker ball event. I was able to find the Betsy Johnson bling sneakers for half the price I would have paid at the local department store. I also picked up a couple pair of sandals. The service is very friendly and staff is super helpful with finding shoes. I highly recommend if you are looking for new shoes. read more

While I've always loved shopping at Marti & Liz and have purchased the majority of my shoes here, I've recently been disappointed by the store's decision to showcase political merchandise. Earlier this year, I walked into a large display of party-affiliated socks, shirts, and other items. It felt out of place and made me uncomfortable--especially since it didn't seem to represent all viewpoints. I told myself I wouldn't return. When I tried it again recently, the same thing happened. To my surprise, a younger employee walked in and immediately removed the display, saying, "I told them not to put this stuff out. We are not doing politics." Moments later, an older employee at the register loudly told her to "put it back." The tension between staff was uncomfortable and, honestly, embarrassing. I shop here for shoes, handbags, and clothes--not politics. I applaud the employee who tried to redirect the focus back to the customer experience. Unfortunately, this incident left a bad impression. I hope Marti & Liz will take this feedback seriously and prioritize creating an inclusive and neutral shopping environment where all customers feel welcome. read more

Used a gift card ($35) to buy a pair of shoes ($50) plus my credit card for 2 more pairs at $50 ea. Kept first pair, tried to return the other two a few days later. I was told they "couldn't" refund the 2 pairs ($100) to my cc because "you paid with a gift card and credit card on the same transaction. You have to do 2 separate transactions if you want to be able to be refunded." Even though the receipt reflected the actual amount of the gift card and the more expensive shoes I'd kept. What sort of antiquated software do they use??? I was told to relax. "It's no big deal! You'll still get *some* of your money back to your credit card." Rude employees, absolutely baffling software even they couldn't sort out and had to call a manager elsewhere, 20 minutes trying to make a very simple return on shoes (that, pro-tip, could be found across the parking lot at Nordstrom Rack for the same price and presumably seamless returns)- and now I am stuck with the same amount of credit I had already been trying to spend on something worthwhile for 16 months to no avail. CLOSED SUNDAYS Music: Christian radio Selection: It's hit or miss. If the expensive part is full, they will leave the FRYE overstock in the aisles which is awesome. You just never know what you're going to find. Pricing: Literally I feel like they are all over the place. Sometimes things are a lot cheaper than you would think with new tags on and then other items that don't have tags or look worn they are charging like full price for brand new items that are similar, it's odd. I'm willing to check out just for the chance to find my winner winner chicken dinner item(s) that one time I show up! They have really cute boutique item clothing and generic purse options, but the clothing is pricey and the purses are priced decently. Would I recommend? Hard to say, because some people think that's horrible to buy used shoes. read more

This place is amazing! They have cute clothes, but I go for the shoes and boots! Shoes are not in boxes because, I think, they are store clearance, returns, etc. They are not used though. I always find at least 4 or 5 pairs I'd love to take home. This last visit, I got some Cole Haan sneakers for summer for $40, I think they list for $120 at Macy's. It is worth your time to stop by! At one time this store wore masks during coronavirus. Then once Williamson County no longer required them, this store decided to stop. Because apparently the virus is no longer killing over 1000 people a day. It's a deeply irresponsible thing during a pandemic to stop wearing masks just because no one will make you. These kind of policies are the reason some of my family members have died. Nice shoes or not, this is profoundly irresponsible. I CONFESS! I ignored my mama's teachings. I jumped to conclusions about Marti & Liz's Shoes. I *knew* I should never judge a book by it's cover...*hanging my head*...but I did. But I have seen the err of my ways! Thank goodness for a few great friends who enlightened me about the store, and reminded me of that old teaching. My husband, who acts as if he's enduring a Chinese war torture to do most any shopping...well, he looked like the cat who swallowed the canary walking out of that place with three boxes of shoes, stacked way up, all for under $100 and all brands such as Cole Haan. As far as me, I managed to stay focused and NOT give in to the desire to purchase those cute Pliners, Weitzman or Coach boots/shoes...for once (maybe b/c hubby was watching, hhmm??) choosing to wait for a boot that had exactly what I wanted/needed. I credit Marti and Liz with turning me in to a bona fide shoe slut. Don't get me wrong, the seeds were certainly planted in my youth. Growing up, my old man taught me about taking care of shoes. On Sundays, he would line up his work shoes, sit there in his shorts and a T-shirt, lay down some newspaper, and line up his shoes like soldiers to be shined. He also taught me to always use wooden shoe trees to keep the shoes dry and stretched out when not wearing them, travel with my shoes in shoe bags to keep them from getting scuffed up, and to make friends with a good cobbler. To that end I still have my first pair of Johnston Murphy cap toe lace ups that I got 15 years ago and they look great. But, back on point, my wife dragged me here against my will, as I am also completely phobic about second-hand clothing, which is what I assumed Marti and Liz was. Now, to this day I can't say where they get their shoes, my theory is off of dead people. No matter, when confronted with a $285 pair of Cole Haan's for $35, all prejudices quickly fall to the wayside. Seriously. They have amazing brands of men's shoes, Johnston Murphy, Kenneth Cole, you never know what you will find, from sandals, to sporty, to formal. And they are DIRT CHEAP. It is kind of a gamble. Since they only have what they have on the shelves, you may go in and find 5 pairs of shoes you love. You may go in and find nothing. But it is always worth while to stop by and see what they have. A word of advice, try on the shoes and make sure they fit thoroughly. They have a very strict return policy, as in you are pretty much hosed if you try to return something if it doesn't fit. I just shipped off a pair to Goodwill as I thought they fit in the store, but required Crisco to get on and off my foot when I got home. Small price to pay for the opportunity to get some rockin' shoes. Make sure you inspect them thoroughly and know that if there is a small defect or blemish, that a cobbler can fix it up generally for under $10. So yeah, that's how I now have more shoes than my wife. I would imagine an intervention is just around the corner... One sad note is that unfortunately, they have no men's shoes in sizes 9 thru 91/2. I found out about Marti & Liz totally by word-of-mouth. It's a bit of a trek for a downtown dweller to shop there, since it's in Cool Springs/Franklin, but I'd say it's worth it every once in a while. My visit was to find boots to wear during the winter with skirts and dresses. I found two pairs, one of which I totally regretted later (oh well). While I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, I had a great time browsing and trying on at least 30 pairs of shoes. The size 5.5 to 7 (my range) is fairly extensive, so I didn't feel like my little feet were left out. Beware of the return policy and know that sometimes pairs are mismatched sizes (strange?), but also know that you'll find some top brands (usually in the front window) for a lot less than they would ordinarily sell for. This place is the reason I own over 100 pairs of shoes. A couple of years ago when I heard that a Marti & Liz was opening right down the road from my office I started bouncing off the walls in anticipation. It is such a blessing, but is also totally sinful because I don't really NEED half of what I buy. But who cares at an average price of $20-$25 a pair?!?! Name brand shoes of all shapes and sizes can be found: Nine West, Aldo, Steve Madden, Charles David, BCBG, Carlos Santana, Enzo, Kenneth Cole, Via Spiga, the list goes on and on. New shipments are put out on the shelves on Thursdays, so that's usually when I can be found slowly roaming up and down the aisles. They have a little bit of everything, and some weeks are better than others, so the more often you go, the more luck you'll have. The men's shoe selection isn't as awesome as the women's, but even with that said, I've bought my boyfriend several great pairs here. Keep in mind that the store is usually packed on Saturdays, so if you can get in during the day on a weekday it's best. Also, they're closed on Sundays. Happy Shopping! read more

I went to Marti & Liz Shoes because I recently moved from Florida with a few pairs of flip flops, heels, and one pair of black combat boots. And it was getting COLD, so, I decided to look around for a good pair of boots. Yes, I found plenty of boots in my size here, but, most of them looked very used and just worn out. Marti & Liz is a great place to find a bargain. My favorite pair of boots are from here. They only cost $9.99. Be careful when you do shop here though. From my understanding they sell these shoes so cheap because they have previously been worn on the runway. Even though they have only been worn once it is still important to look for wear and tear before purchasing. And keep in mind that they only do exchanges not full on returns. They also have purses and a couple racks of clothes. read more

MArti and Liz is the definition of Hit or Miss. They have some great brands and for the most part great prices, but availability is always an issue... I would say that about 10% of the time I find something GREAT... and for the price you cant help but buy it... But it's the other 90% of the time that leaves me wanting... For women, I understand their selection is much better- but my wife still has issues finding what she is looking for most of the time. read more

I have been a Marti and Liz fan for years! Leaving them behind when I moved to Huntsville was a tear jerker for sure. I now make a road trip a few times a year and come home with FAR too many pairs of shoes and boots. I say who cares...A woman needs her shoes and at these prices, who can help themselves? Certainly not me! I took my assistant last year. She was always giving me grief about my shoe collection...guess who walked out with 9 pairs? Yeah...she did! I always get so excited about their boot selection. Fabulous! Last year I made out like a bandit with a great pair of Michael Kohrs, Cole Hahn, Calvin Klein and my favorite Salvatore Ferragamo boots. Hoping my trip in this time will be as eventful. I"m sure my husband is hoping the same. HA! Weekends seem the worst time to shop there...I have better luck and find the selections to be the best during week days for some reason. I've passed by this store for years thinking it was shoe store for the elderly. I have no clue why I thought that, but I went in one day to find out I was absolutely wrong. This place was full of nice, name-brand shoes. These shoes are from overstock. Typically, you look to pay $20-30 for a pair of shoes. I got a pair of red Nine West heels for ~$22. For the women's section, there is a pretty big selection for a shoe size which is a slightly overwhelming. I have a friend, a girl, with absolutely enormous feet and she loves this place because it's one of the few places she could find a designer selection of big shoes. I like it because designer shoes are much cheaper here, and they're kind of somewhere in between new and second-hand. I have seen, like other reviews have said, a lot of Nine West, Steve Madden and shoes of that quality, but occasionally, you'll come across a Kate Spade, so it's worth looking. There's also a decent selection of handbags and other accessories worth checking out, and the last time I was there, they had racks of Crocs and Birkenstocks. read more

Great place to find name brand, quality shoes for less than $30! Most are less than $20! It's kind of a random store though, leading me to wonder where they get their merchandise...sometimes they will have racks of denim jackets, other days the racks will have kid's clothes (all one type). But, go there for the shoes and just don't bother with the few clothes they may have. The brands are good--Nine West, Aldo, the occasional BCBG...but never anything of a real designer level. I used to buy a lot of shoes for work here. Clean store, and pretty organized, but what you see is what you get--no asking for sizes from the back! The sales girls are not very helpful, but are pretty much there just to ring you up. I could give the details of the experience but in a nutshell, the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced in retail living in Nashville in 20 years. I have 4 air BNB's and I leave a list of places to visit. This has been on it despite hearing from a few guests that they too have experienced the rude employee(s). I am taking it off my list. They could give me free shoes at this point and it's just not worth feeling the way I did when I went last time. I had heard rumors of a place where you could get really incredible deals on shoes and handbags, but actually checking out the selection had eluded me until recently. Now I am afraid to return for I might just blow my diaper budget on shoes. I found quite a few great pairs of shoes by high end designer, like those found in Salon Shoes at Nordstrom, for no more than $29.95 per pair. If you are a NM or high end boutique shoe slut, then this isn't the place for you. But if you aren't overly concerned with the color of the sole of your heels and want to have many pairs to choose from for the cost of one trip to the mall, then this is the place for you. read more

Really cute shoes here! A plus for me as some of them are extremely unusually sparkly- uh, over-the-top sexayyy type shoes that really don't look appropriate on anyone but a singer, which I am, or, perhaps a stripper, or aspiring stripper, or frustrated housewife spicing it up. I'm not really sure what all goes on these days! My friends never tell me anything except Their Marriage is Perfect, so what do I know? :D Others are very Doris Day, housewifey flats. Some are cuuuute flats, with Chanelish camelias, etc. (I got a pink pair last time). Then there are the Git-R-done, boot type shoes. Nice for bad weather. There are some used shoes, I don't go for those. I go for the sparkly, the unusual, the ones that will be seen from 100 rows back as I make my singing, microphone-swinging debut. !!! I got a really nice pair of 40's style jeweled plum pumps for a video shoot here in the middle of summer. There are also lots of rhinestone appendages, feathers, spikes, unusual colors, heels, and new things to try that no one else you know will ever have. This is the ONLY place I buy my shoes... and I live in California! I can't say enough good things about Marti and Liz. On my last trip I got a pair of Ed Hardy tennis shoes, a pair of Tommy Hilfiger pumps, AND a pair of BRAND NEW Sketcher's Shape Up tennis shoes (which are usually $100 +) for $25 each... can't beat that. My mother-in-law is a huge fan of Marti & Liz and will expound on their virtues. And it was on her suggestion I tried shopping there. I looked around a found a couple of pairs of shoes that were alright, but found mostly shoes for the older crowd I think. Upon closer inspection I noticed the shoes had a lot of flaws: a buckle missing here, a button gone there, heels that were worn down, a pair of flip flops were flat out broken. I asked one of the employees if this was a used shoes store and she said no, that they weren't used but overstock, like the kind of items you'd find at TJ Maxx or Marshall's. I'll have to call shenanigans on that. Maybe you can find some really good deals here, but I'm more in the market for cheap shoes that are new or at least don't need to have parts replaced before wearing them. read more
