Have been coming here since opening but I'm reconsidering my many purchases. Bought a dress and realized it really wasn't my color and still had tags on. Bought 4 months ago in March and i know I've seen one in store recently but when I finally had someone suggest I return it-I was told the store policy changed to 4 months and I was over and it was not returnable! I swear I never do this and got turned away at Nordstroms after making special trip there. Not even store credit. Told to sell on some app I never heard. I'm 67 and don't really want to add more frustration to this. Disappointed. read more

I like how this location is close to me, but that's about it. The staff are scarce so if you are needing help or assistance good luck. I was trying to find an item I had seen at the SM location and practically searched the whole store and couldn't find it. I also couldn't find any staff that could help. I finally made my way to the fitting room and asked the lady there for assistance, and she was of no help at all. So, besides lack of help, the selection they offer here is not as great as the other locations either. Overall, if you're looking for basic items, and know where they are located and won't need any help, this is decent otherwise, go to the other locations read more

The service is scarce but kind. The selection of clothes & how it's setup is overwhelming. I feel like you walk around aimlessly b/c nothing is defined properly. The value is great if you can FIND the item. read more

I like this place but you need to have patience and shop...I mean like a pro. Sometimes you will find the best deals hidden amongst other items. The front is a little wild with so many "temptation purchases" but it's a worthy shopping experience. read more

I was happy to be able to attend the opening celebration. The store was well put together with upscale looking merchandise. It was very crowded with a long line to check in to attend although the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Upon entering the store they had extremely loud party type music which was jarring! It was also so jam packed it was challenging to walk through. I lasted about five minutes in the chaos but I am looking forward to returning when things settle down. Exciting News: Oceanside's New Nordstrom Rack! Today was the grand opening, and of course, I couldn't resist checking it out. While I've always been a fan of the San Marcos location, this new store is even better--it's bigger, more spacious, and has more stuff. As expected, this Nordstrom Rack has everything you'd hope for: an extensive selection of Women's, Men's, and Children's clothing, a variety of Beauty and Home products, and, of course, an impressive array of Shoes. The new location is conveniently situated in the Pacific Coast Plaza, right off the 78 freeway at the Jefferson Exit. I can already see this becoming one of my regular stops. Spend the extra time & go to San Marcos Nordstrom Rack. This store isn't near as nice with selection.

I'm glad to have this location because it's closer to me than San Marcos or La Jolla. The pre grand opening today from 6-8pm was chaotic. Too many people in the store and super loud music. They had some canned drinks and a free bag with purchase but there wasn't really anything different about it from the other stores except more inventory because it was untouched. The aisles feel narrow too. It was nice to go into a well organized, neat and tidy store that hasn't been ransacked yet. I wish all the stores were like this regularly. That being said I like to shop at Nordstrom rack so I will be back read more

So nice to have a Nordstrom Rack in Oside! It's been amazing seeing all the new businesses opening up around our city in the past few weeks. Went on Thursday (official grand opening day)...would have attended the soft opening but didn't really know the details...not sure if there was a special invite for that or not. Regardless, here's my review...the aisles are SO tight. I'm shocked they didn't think this through when setting up the store! I've shopped at other ones before (namely Mission Valley and San Marcos) where there seemed to be more room. I had my stroller with me today, and my little one and it was just a squeeze. Mommas, you've been warned. Maybe wear baby or use a cart to come shopping. Lots and lots of shoes...small clothing clearance section near the back (didn't go through it). Men's on the right, women's center, and beauty/accessories/kids to the left. Only baby things were against the kids wall, otherwise, expect to see 2T and up. Clean bathrooms and water station straight back in the fitting room section - easy to find! There were some places to check out around the store with 10 items or less which was convenient...I waited in line to do a return. This is where my review loses a couple stars. There was a manager guy in a green shirt who was clearly in charge but could not be bothered to make eye contact, smile, or even ask how customers were doing. He was running around behind the registers helping his clerks. I get it. I work in customer service too and I know how exhausting it is, but this is OPENING day. You have to muscle through and put on a smile for every customer you help. I don't think he even looked at me. I asked to do an easy return (no receipt)...but staple items they currently and always sell in NR. The associate helping me asked for the manager's help and he jumped in and under his breath said "we don't normally do this" without so much as explaining a thing to me. Rudely asked for my ID, remained silent, punched a ton (really) of info into the computer (necessary?) and then did the return, issued my gift card and walked away. The former employee came back and helped me ring up my new purchase using the gift card, etc. Don't tell me you don't do ID refunds. That's ridiculous. Better yet, why don't you explain the process to me as you are a new store in our area. If your return policies differ, please let me know since it's your first day. I just didn't appreciate the interaction and it left a slightly sour taste in my mouth. I'm sure I'll be back, but be warned, you had better have your receipt for any type of return. I only ever shopped at Nordstrom Rack for shoes and I loved their shoe selection at this location! I found the last pair in my size of some Uggs I really wanted but could only find one shoe. A employee who called herself "The Shoe Queen" hunted it down for me, and made sure I left with the pair I wanted! Totally forgot to catch her real name but she was awesome! I'm not used to that level of service in retail spaces anymore. Got amazing discounts on the two pairs of shoes I picked out. And like I said the brand selection was great and they had a lot of great quality items for really low prices. Will definitely be back. read more

Sooooooo excited to have a Rack close to meeeee! I was glad I was able to check it out before it opened! It was crowed but I figured that would happen and brought my patience with me! It wasn't terrible! But I'll be waiting for things to settle down to return or I'll go at time that shouldn't be so busy! There are some good deals to be had there! read more

Great location with good prices! So glad they opened up another store in North County.

The store is very well kept and always a positive environment! The employees are always nice and willing to help. Jose I believe is his name has helped me out on multiple occasions and is very nice. Although the employees are sweet and friendly, I have noticed some customers are very rude to them but they still maintain a professional attitude. Which is hard to see now days! Was able to attend yesterday during their VIP event from 6-8pm, which my eldest daughter was excited about. The crazy shoppers were in the mist rudely pushing through, but we are not surprised so here's looking at you, dark-haired grown (40's - 50's) lady in the active wear section just tossing Sweaty Betty gear across into your cart and being rude to shoppers pushing your way around. I normally shop the San Marcos store when my kids attend a non public school in that town, so it's nice to finally have a store closer to home here in O'side just 11-12 minutes from home. The layout is far nicer than the other store, albeit this one is new, and more thought was considered on setup indoors. Store associates were pleasant, and there were several areas placed to pay for purchases other than the main area. A few items were purchased in yesterday's visit and plan to return after the hoopla and during early store opening hours when most people work. read more

This used to be the old Stater bros. It's a massive space and they have a lot of deal racks towards the back. If you're ever looking for shoes, go here. They have so many brand name shoes on discount and the ones I've bought have held up well. Make sure they feel comfy walking around with their shoe mirrors. I like that they have a variety of brands, no complaints here. read more

I came because I had some time to kill before dinner. I love the Rack in San Marcos. I think this store is a little bit smaller than the San Marcos location. But this store is well laid out and organized. Other Racks stuff the display rounds to the point of shopper fatigue. Here I felt I could move between the displays comfortably with my cart. It seemed things were grouped by designer rather than category. The shoes , my favorite were especially organized. As I walked through the store I was greeted several times by employees. I enjoyed my time there and picked up a few things. When I got to the front I was assisted by Jamal. I was greeted warmly with a smile. I realized I didn't bring my credit card. Jamal didn't miss a beat . He looked up my stuff got my transaction finished in a timely manner , gave me my bag and a thank you for coming in. All in all a great store with professional employees. read more

Incredibly disappointed. I bought a pair of Cole Haan shoes which I really like, but the stitching completely came apart. I went back to exchange them but evidently they do not take returns. They just lost a customer, and I'll tell everybody I know how disappointed I am. read more

My second visit to different Rack stores (long story) in two days. THIS one is the best! The selection available is amazing! More product and great clearance items (I bought a box Kiehl's hydration set for $26 - the corps body alone is $28). Great gift! The cashier at this store was unnecessarily apologetic for the security tags left by the Upland Rack store. Service appreciated! read more

Customer service at this location is horrid - all the way up to management. I've been a Nordstrom shopper since I was a teenager and will never shop at this location again. Granted this is a Rack and not an actual Nordstrom store - the difference in the level of customer service is astounding. I had attempted to resolve a dispute at this store and the Rack staff and management were rude and said they couldn't help me. I ended up going to an actual Nordstrom store and they apologized for my inconvenience and resolved my issue immediately and with a smile. Now that is customer service and why I will continue to patronize Nordstrom and not this Rack location. read more

Stoked to have a RACK in Oside, this place is like Costco for name brand clothes and variety...also has the same effect that you may go here for a pair of shoes and walk out with three or four outfits...my goto for Tommy, Calvin, Lucky, Hurley, and many other RAD brands. read more

Well today finally I made my way to the new Nordstrom Rack. It was about 616 PM when my husband and I entered the store. Around 6:20 I went and tried on a skirt which I as planning on purchasing. At 6:33 pm my husband went to try on a pair of jeans. He was told that since the store was closing soon that he could not try on clothes . As upset as he was I was angry. I asked to speak to a manager. While waiting the cahier apologized and finally a frazzled young lady showed up. I asked her about this and she paused and said it's a new policy. I asked them why no one in the store is not aware and only you and 2 others in the back are giving me this line of non sense . She stopped and didn't know what to say except sorry. I am so sick of the word sorry. Nordstrom was an icon in fashion and coustumer service. Walmartt surpasses the service by far. I am disappointed and not only ruined my afternoon but it took time away from my day to come and order on line for somethings I could have easily paid for and left So I will say this to Nordstrom, you have gone from an icon to an eye soar . New store , terrible employees d management. Not sure if she even was one Never seen a disheveled store that is brand new . So if you are planning to visit the new Rack, don't But if you do make sure you get there first thing so you can try on clothes .what a joke read more

I just came out of Nordstrom. The security person for loss prevention literally followed me the entire time I was in the store. I asked them to take my purchase and put it behind the counter while I looked at the purses because I did not know where they're clearance was, as I mentioned, he followed me all the way through the clothing, the shoes, and also the purses with as many people there were in the store. It was only me that he was spending his time watching, and following. I reported him to the manager. I also explain to the manager if she wanted to she could go through my purse and my bag that I just purchased, I explained to her I did ask for the counter person to hold my bag while I went to glance at the purses at that time she says we don't do that. I told her that he me feel very uncomfortable at this location not even from this area. I am from out of town and I normally do not make a reviews like this, but it is ridiculous that I felt like I was being targeted as a Latin person. read more

I bought a pair designer shoes last Friday, wore on Saturday, they tore a whole on my second toe, raw and on the verge of infection, 150.00 dollars, had the shoe, box and receipt and they told me they could not take them back, their policy. I have been shopping at Nordstrom since about 1980 and the Rack since they opened. Not anymore! Beware fellow shoppers as I almost never return anything! read more

Stopped in to check out the new store. Attempted to try on clothes at 6:33 and was told the close the fitting room a little before closing but couldn't specify a time. I guess it is up to the employee. Store closes at 7:00. I see a few minutes early as no more than 10. A posted sign indicating closing time would have been fine. Good selection though. read more

The customer service is terrible. I tried returning something for store credit, it had the tags on but I had brought the wrong receipt so they wouldn't accept the return. I can understand that so I asked to put my two items on hold so I could come back the next evening with the correct receipt and apply the amount. I was told they don't do that, they can only hold things for a short time. So I asked if I could come back the next morning instead (which is only a couple business hours as I was there shortly before closing). I was told they needed to call a manager to approve this so I waited and was then told - no we will not hold these two items for you. Left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning . They were not helpful at all and there were only about 3 customers in the entire store at the time. So really? You can't hold two items for a couple of business hours? Disappointing as I was so excited to have a Nordstrom Rack in the neighborhood. read more
