My absolute favorite store! I love their mottos: Sample before you buy. Nordstom is known to be a department store who provides excellent customer experience! They take pride in it. The more you shop here you can accumulate points that turn into rewards $$$ towards purchases without a Nordstrom credit card. However, if you do apply for their shiny silver card you get more PERKS. Not everyone know that you can ask for a sample in their beauty store especially their fragrance department. They do offer the samples to try for a few times. Several niche brands have come to the store! Must try Amouage, Mind Games (only at this location) , MFK brands. Must book online for complementary 30 minutes beauty appointments for face, eyes, lips or skincare service. Unfortunately they do not offer full face make overs without an appointment. You can choose your own brands for your service. Sign up for their emails to know what's going on in the store ! There's an event every month! And if you are a beauty guru, then you know every store offers the same price on beauty products. The only difference is the promos at different times! I don't like wasting people's times so I'll make a minimum of 3 product purchase to thank the associate who did my make up! It's not required, but showing appreciation goes a long way. This Sunday afternoon, I saw a long line of customers waiting to meet an influencer Daryl-Ann Denner, who is also the Founder of nuuds and whose clothing line made it into Nordstrom. Anything can happen these days. She has these comfy stretchy tops, sweaters as well as a variety of tops and bottoms. There was cotton candy in cherry and blue raspberry and a dirty soda bar. Is this the only spot I can find my preferred designer brands? No. Is it my preferred spot to do so in the area, absolutely. I don't recommend their coffee shop on the first floor as it's pretty dang expensive, but I find myself on the second floor whenever I need to construct an outfit for an event. Im not married to one brand, so I really do love the department store concept. While the first floor is packed with makeup counters, a robust shoe selection, a men's section, sunglasses and more, the second story mainly contains various women's clothing departments. Athletic, formal, semi- formal, or casual, they have a section. Not only that, but it's generally well organized and the service is A1. I've yet to try the restaurant on the second floor, but the day I do, this may end up being my Woodlands Mall, one stop shop. read more

I didn't intend on stopping here but on my way out of the mall I seen they had a huge selection on tailored suits. I stopped by to check out the prices. They do have tailors that come in to have your suit tailored to you . The turnaround time was about 4- 5 weeks which was a bummer, but I loved the huge selection of colors and the fabric seemed to be on the lighter side which is perfect for the spring/ summer time. This review is for Indochino In the men's section inside Nordstrom. I wanted to gift my husband a custom suit and decided to book a fitting with Indochino inside the Nordstrom at the Woodlands. The day came for the fitting and when we arrived to checkin at 11am we were told that there is no one there to take the measurements and they don't know what time the person would be arriving. We were asked to come back at 2pm (3 hrs later) to meet with Cameron so we graciously agreed despite having other plans. When we got back at 2, we were told the person who is supposed to see us is not there. So we ended up having to see Dante. This already left a bad taste in my mouth since it seemed completely disorganized and bad customer service especially when you are paying over $500 for a suit. Dante was helpful and kept on apologizing and we ended up getting the suit ordered with him (only reason I added an extra star was his helpfulness). When ny husband received the suit and shirt, the measurements on the shirt were off. We made another appt to get this adjusted and when we arrived, again we are told that he is not even in the system. This made no sense as he had the text confirmation confirming the time!! I was livid and the manager I believe had to help us as again no Indochino employees were there. I'm not even sure he worked for Indochino. I definitely don't recommend coming here for anything Indochino. I am appalled that Nordstrom who is known for its customer service would allow customers to be treated this way. read more

I like the galleria location in regard to having more to offer, but if I'm in the woodlands, I almost always drop in. This was the first time that I'd ventured into this Nordstrom, but my eyes liked what I saw. Entered on the second floor and was impressed by the clean, uncluttered appearance of this store. We were on a hunt for children's items - seen in the distance - but my peepers were taking in everything that was in their range. Nice! Lovely displays, nice space between racks, gorgeous merchandise. Hmm. If I didn't have a 4-year-old in tow, I would have stopped and perused for a whole lot longer. Children's area was extensive and customer assistance was spot-on. Although I didn't purchase anything today, I would not hesitate to return. Charming, classic styles of clothing, and it reminded me of Lord & Taylor from years ago. Glad I stopped in and I will be back. Don't know why it took me so long to come by in the first place. The ladies room has every need for women of all ages except a bed for the real exhausted shopper. On to the main store which had wide aisles and nicely presented merchandise. Problem though they are testing our market buyers I feel in a very conservative manner. Example I was looking for a new higher end purse and the nice gentleman said as of now they only brought the top 5 best selling purse lines from the Galleria to stock The Woodlands store. Actually I felt this trickle down mentality in many other departments of the store. Good news is he told me for the holidays they'll be bringing in much more merchandise. Hopefully this means more designers and selection throughout the store. With the large increase in population of wealthy people moving into The Woodlands area demanding stylish clothes and shoes hopefully the demand will be high enough for the increased variety of designers on a regular basis. Hello, girl who entered the professional world and is in the process of a serious wardrobe overhaul checking in here! Ok, I'm gonna get real here. My college wardrobe was shit. I mean, we are talking abundance of less than $10 polyester shirts/NASCAR tees/baggy pants/leggings/five year old dresses/plastic head bands type of absolute, utter shit. Fast forward six years: I'm married, can (mostly) dress myself now, have a big girl job, and have rid myself of my past mistakes and been really trying to invest in classic, timeless, high quality clothes that will last. Quality over quantity is now my mantra. I've been doing a lot of thrifting in the wake of Marie Kondo taking over the entire Western hemisphere, so I guess the timing is right. But there are still some things, especially shoes, that are best bought in a store. Nordstrom is that place for me. Pretty much everything they sell here, from the reasonably affordable to top brand designer, is stylish, quality, and eclectic so there's something for everyone. It's sparkly clean, well organized, and the displays are so nice and easy to find exactly what you need. And man, let me tell you, the staff is fantastic. Both times I've bought here, I was assisted personally by an employee who gave me advice, helped me with sizing, and got me checked out fast. This place almost feels too nice and chic for a plan Jane like me, but I've never been treated as such, even by the well dressed and presented staff. They're always friendly and smiling. I have bought two pairs of shoes and a shirt from here. The shirt I ended up giving to a friend who tried it on and it looked better on her (I'm still learning about all this, ok), but the shoes are amazing. The BP Lula sandals I bought in nude have held up terrifically (and the price was too good!) and most recently a pair of Steve Madden boots. More expensive than the average department store, but it is for a reason: this is where you will find some quality brands and where you invest in well made clothing and accessories. Definitely worth it to buy here! Other FYIs: order pickup is at the entrance nearest Macy's. Shoes, men's and accessories is on the bottom floor. Parking is ample! read more

Nordstrom in The Woodlands, Texas simply has to be the worst Nordstrom of all Nordstrom locations in the US. Inventory is horrible, most salespeople have no idea what inventory they have and often say they don't carry anything like that and then you find it on your own. Shoe department and children's department exceptionally weak. They appear to be way off on who they feel is their demographic here in The Woodlands and as a mom with school aged kids and much socializing with other moms we have all laughed too many times to count about how pathetic our Nordstrom is and it is just easier to order online or still have to drive to Houston Nordstrom. Pretty sad when even the dads/men have commented on how awful our Nordstrom is and could not wait to get out. Target even has better bathing suits and kids clothing and they never have any of the cuter, nicer brands other Nordstrom carry. Always out of every make-up item you are searching for and purse selection bad as well. We were all excited to get a Nordstrom in our town a few years ago but it has definitely been a huge disappointment. They recently opened LV, Gucci, YSL, larger Lululemon, Alo Yoga, many nice restaurants, new upscale movie theater, Nike and several other higher end stores directly across the street at Market Street shopping center so still can't believe our Nordstrom seems to not feel The Woodlands has the demographic profile for nicer items and better inventory. This is the second time I have been walked in on while in the dressing room!! I love Nordstrom but for some reason, just at this specific location, the older workers have walked into my fitting room while I was changing. The first time I assumed maybe she didn't hear me saying there was some one in the room and she apologized as soon as she realized I was there. The second time, yesterday, this worker knocked and my boyfriend and I were both saying there was someone in the room. We said it multiple times and she paused as if she heard us. Well she continues to unlock the door while my boyfriend is still yelling saying "hey there is someone in here"... she then opens the door and just stares at us and simply says oh, sir. You can't be in here.. he of course walked out but she kept the door open while we were saying I was in there. I could have been naked and she didn't care. She did not apologize and proceeded to tell another customer "huh. It must be a Saturday"??? Again, she never apologized nor seem like she felt bad. I ended up having to close the door on her. Honestly the first time, the lady seemed very nice and like maybe she truly didn't hear me. But this Second Lady was extremely rude. I truly hope that this Nordstrom teaches these lady's that they can't just walk into someone's fitting room. It feels like I can only go to specific sections of Nordstrom if I want to change & try on clothing peacefully. read more

Not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review for Nordstrom because every time I'm in The Woodlands Mall I pop in here. I have always had wonderful service and their products are spectacular. The store is clean and products are well spaced, unlike other department stores where everything is jumbled and you have to squeeze in between racks. Also, they carry more variety with upscale brands not offered in The Woodlands area. On this trip, I shopped for some jeans and then Janie helped me in the Intimates department. She has helped me before and is an absolute joy. She is friendly and very helpful. We even chatted for a few minutes after my purchase. You can tell she cares about her job and the customers she encounters every day. Thank you Nordstrom for offering us a beautiful store with variety and amazing customer service. read more

Let's go ahead and get the 'it's a small Nordstrom' statement out of the way. A lot of people have somewhat complained about it being small (especially compared to the Galleria), but regardless of size I LOVE this Nordstrom. I've been coming here since it opened, and I am always amazed and so satisfied with the customer service and care I receive here. EVERY employee is approachable, kind, willing to help, and really makes your shopping experience better. There's been so many occasions when I've come here looking to put together particular outfits for myself or me & my husband, and I always get incredible advice from the stylists. They will search the store with me, give me their honest feedback, and really help me discover amazing pieces! Even if the store is smaller, every category is represented here: men's, women's, children's, athletic, jewelry, accessories, makeup, etc. I feel like their sections are well stocked and represent the style and brands of Nordstrom well. I also love how CLEAN this store is. It's always in tip-top shop, and I love shopping in a clean, organized atmosphere. This Nordstrom also has the E-Bar and full bar/restaurant, Bazille. So after you shop, you can grab a drink & salad or a hot coffee while you shop! I love the atmosphere, the people... everything! I will always shop at this Nordstrom! P.S. As a frequent shopper at other locations, we were surprised to experience such extremely poor service. What, that's a bit much; we were surprised to experience NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from a single freaking sole during our latest visit. Specifically, the three men standing around the men's dress shirt area, men's accessories section, and women gabbing in the women's dress section. Not a single person thought it wise to do their jobs of greeting a customer and offering assistance. Clearly this Nordstrom location is taking in hundreds of millions of dollars and can afford to completely ignore the prospective customers in their store. This is not only completely out of character for a Nordstrom but also not the norm of customer service in Texas. Hmm...perhaps the employees are transplants from a State where customers are not appreciated and customer service is more scarce than sightings of the Loch Ness Monster. Whatever the case; a clear example of extremely poor, unprofessional, incompetent management. Macy's on the other hand, greeted us at the entrance and asked if we required any assistance. We spent slightly over 1100 bucks that day at Macy's - Tuesday the 18th. Our 2 cents - Nordstrom's is too busy with employees chatting amongst themselves to be bothered with customers. I live in Seattle where Nordstrom started, and was visiting family in the area and was thrilled to see the new store design. I love the new store design at Woodlands. The store design is beautiful. The exterior is a modern and fresh expression for Nordstrom-- finally the store design matches the quality of the designer merchandise. The simple museum-like quality interiors are the prefect backdrop to showcase the goods. The use of wood ceilings provides an unexpected warmth to the overall shopping space, and the natural light is a welcoming element. This store is sophisticated and elevates the shopping experience. I had a excellent experience in the jeans department. They were patient and listened to my needs/helped me decide. I recently had a baby and wanted a pair of jeans that I felt comfortable in. I will definitely be back for tops and other things. I just want to add we went to the men's section for jeans and another day we went to the suit section for new work shirts. They have. The Purse department at Nordstrom woodlands is usually reliable. I go in today asking to put a MARC JACOBS TOTE BAG on HOLD and the lady helpfully puts it on hold for me under my name. I tell her i'm staying in the store looking around but coming back for the purse WHICH WAS GOING TO BE A BDAY GIFT for my best friend the next day but NOPE. I come back an hour later after shopping UPSTAIRS of Nordy the WHOLE TIME but the ladies at the purse check out counter say they SOLD IT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ON HOLD UNDER MY NAME. Keep in mind this is a gift for my best friend in the whole world. The lady at the desk said they can only hold it for 1 hour which they did NOT tell me when i originally put it on hold. They then said they usually don't put things on hold and they did for me but sold it without me knowing!!!! I am pissed. They were at first helpful which is why i'm giving one star but i would normally give 0 but im being graceful because WWJD. Love nordstrom but not atm bc now i have to buy the purse from Marc Jacobs online which will probably arrive close to NEXT christmas. The worst Nordstrom in Houston due to their lack of brands. The main focus of women's clothing is TopShop, Free People, etc. but no higher end brands. You have to go to the Galleria for that. Although there isn't as much product to shop through as at the Houston Galleria, there is no lack in customer service! The people that work at Nordstrom in The Woodlands are the ones to beat for all other retailers at The Woodlands Mall. They go above and beyond to find what is perfect for every customer that comes through their doors, and if they don't have it, they are more than happy to order it! Returns are effortless and they never make you feel like it's a burden. The Bazille is top notch and everything on their menu is to die for. Have a particular request for your order? Not to worry, they take care of it every time! The E-Bar gives Starbucks a run for their money. Have a specialty drink? You got it! If you're in the area, stop in and experience it for yourself. I had been a Nordstrom shopper for many years, always happy and satisfied. A bit over 2 years ago, my account was hacked, someone purchased a few expensive handbags and some designer clothing. online. I caught within hours of it happening and called customer service. The entire order was canceled with the exception of one Gucci handbag that was already shipped. The bag had not been yet been delivered, I was surprised that there was nothing they could do to stop the shipping. My account was credited, the old Nordstrom credit card was canceled and I received a new credit card number. I was very happy with how the situation was handled. I continued to buy from Nordstrom using my credit account the next 2 plus years with no problems in store and online. A few days ago I ordered Christmas gifts during the early Black Friday sale. I get notification that my order was canceled. Calling customer service I find that it was because of the fraud that occurred over 2 years ago that had long been resolved by customer service. They suggested I email the fraud department. A day later the email response was "to bad, too sad" your account had a chargeback so we will no longer let you use the account. I called, no help, they acknowledged the fraudulent purchases over 2 years ago but because a chargeback had to be issued, I was no longer a valued Nordstrom customer. I had been using that card on a regular basis with absolutely no issue since the fraud. Totally unacceptable response. My card balance was 0. It's paid off every month. I got no help from Nordstrom customer service to resolve what should have been a non issue. I was definitely not a big spender at Nordstrom but I had always been a loyal customer of many years until now. read more

This specific location in the Woodlands is far smaller than the Galleria location. With that being said, their selection of items doesn't show it. They seem to make the small space work for them and everything is organized in a way that you can find whatever brand or item you need to look for. Right now, they are having their sale and they mark off the sections of what was for early access. The associates are always super friendly and willing to help you. I never have to find and chase down someone for a question like I have to do at other retailers. read more

This gets one star... and that's being generous. There is NO mother's lounge for nursing. This is the first Nordstrom I've been in that does not have a mother's lounge. There isn't even adequate seating around the store. Nordstrom was always my go-to place while at the malls in California when I lived there and I need somewhere quiet to relax and nurse. Very disappointed there is no mother's lounge. Not the best use of space overall in the store either. read more
