This is our go-to Nordstrom. My family and I have been coming here for years, and the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. It really feels like they genuinely care about helping you, not just trying to make a sale. I'm not even sure if they work on commission lol, but the service always feels very sincere. I also love shopping at Nordstrom because everything is so organized, which makes the whole experience enjoyable and easy to shop. Went in to go check out a few Byredo and Jo Malone colognes and left disappointed. The varieties offered at this location was limited and not all sales associates were knowledgeable about their own brand products. How sad and disappointing! I appreciated the Byredo rep for making a take home sample to try on the fragrance prior to purchasing them. I went there to make two returns. One return was supposed to be credited to a gift card, but their seasonal help kept telling me it was to be credited to my Nordstroms VISA. WRONG!!! I asked for a manager. The sales clerk was WRONG and I proved I was right! My advice, stand your ground and know the correct procedures. Holiday clerks don't know the process. read more

Came here solo looking to see whether or not it was true. By that I mean I had heard that there were a few actual sewing machines that were kept in a rather obscure area that conveniently also how's the sales and clearance section! And guess what? As surely as the pictures will attest, here they were! If I had time I would have asked a worker or event manager about the sewing machines and whether or not they are just props, or actually used. In any case, ran into DJ NOVASOUL who was spinning Cool cuts to the enjoyment of the patrons, particularly those who had to endure a pretty long line for the event here itself. This Nordstrom's along with the one in the Grove are two top tier destinations and provide great overall customer service experiences, as well as the optics. As for your wallet, purse, or bank account, well... that might be another story. Lol read more

I wanted to share feedback about my recent visit to the Nordstrom BOPIS. I was acknowledged by one employee who let me know I would be helped, so I believed I was standing in the correct place. A different employee then came over and asked who was next. When I told her it was me, she responded with a rude comment, saying she wouldn't know who was next if I wasn't standing in line. I was caught off guard by this, especially since I don't shop here regularly and wasn't aware of where I was supposed to stand. Although she was pleasant afterward, the initial comment left a negative impression and ultimately impacted my experience. There definitely could've been a better way of explaining where the line started without being rude. read more

Out of all the Nordstroms I've been to, this one is by far my favorite. I think it's one of the newer ones out there and it's at the Del Amo Fashion Center which means FREE and PLENTIFUL PARKING! Don't have to rush when you shop and worry about getting charged $$$ compared to the other LA locations. Plus you can shop around at other stores and find something to eat afterwards. They always play good music and has a great vibe. But what's outstanding at this location, is the customer service. They are friendly and eager to help you out. I am very disappointed in the tailor servicing the men's suits department. I ordered a custom suit. It needed a slight alteration to the sleeves and larger adjustment to the slacks for length when it came in. I picked up the suit a week later and traveled straight to an event. When I put the suit on, although the chalk and pins from the fitting were gone, neither the sleeves or slacks had been adjusted. I was totally self conscious wearing the slacks as they were too short. I recently took the suit back along with another suit coat that they had done before to get them both adjusted. While correcting the previous suit coat, it was noticed by the tailor that the sleeves were cut to different lengths. No wonder I was always fidgeting with the sleeves trying to get the cuffs to display properly! I bought this suit from Nordstrom and they did the tailoring. Yet, the sleeves were cut to different lengths! Anyway, they asked when I needed them back and I deferred to them to give me a date. So, I head down to the store and text my salesman, who is great, to say I'm on my way down on the promised date. He texts back and says he'll have them waiting for me. I get two thirds of the way to the store while driving through weekend traffic and I get a text saying they aren't ready. The tailor gave me the promise date! Yet, ten days later I take the time out of my busy schedule to spend the time to head down there and I'm told the tailors have not touched my suits? I just wasted over an hour of my time attempting to pick my suits on the promised day. In closing, over the years, I have found everyone in the sales department, especially John, to be great. However, the tailoring department is completely unreliable! The sad part is that I have another custom suit I ordered that is due to arrive within a few weeks. I am NOT looking forward to dealing with them again. Even though I really like the sales staff and the quality and wide selection, because of my experience with the tailors, I doubt that I will ever buy another suit from this store... read more

I went to see the Longchamp store in Nordstroms at the Del Amo fashion mall, it was interesting definitely small than I expected it was a wall and three fixtures the accessories were nice, there was no sales associate working the concession area to answer questions which was unfortunate, as you can see from the images when I was browsing the shop-- there was a girl working the handbag area that wasn't very attentive or friendly enough to say hi , so I just browsed and took some images to share my experience. read more

I love this Nordstrom! I'm shocked to find an average less than 5 stars upon visiting this page. I recently stopped in for some fall/winter boots. The woman who helped me was super attentive, friendly, and provided great suggestions. I frequent the beauty and shoe departments here the most. However, they also have an outstanding selection of women's clothing - both formal, business and casual. Their baby and kid section is top tier! This is specifically a review for the handbag department. There were about 4 employees there and not one offered my sister help. My sister was excited and wanted to treat herself to a designer bag and because she was so distracted looking at the bags and trying them on her body, she didn't even realize that the customer service was so shiiity. I would look over at the employees and I know they saw us there, making themselves look busy but they were mingling amongst themselves. They weren't with other customers so it's not like they couldn't take one second to offer help. I told my sister said maybe we should look for her bag at another store since the employees didn't care to make a sale... at least not to people that look like us (brown ). Oh well. read more

This review is for my recent experience with Farzad and I must say he was professional from start to finish with my exchange. I had a defective item and he of course apologized and got right to the exchange, while I waited I tried on a couple of perfumes and one of them made me itch and turn red, he quickly grabbed me some alcohol after noticing this and went right back to the return without ever missing a beat. Farzad's professionalism and extra attention to detail when handling customers is the reason I'll be frequenting this location more often. The good: I bought ten pairs of nude heels online for wide feet for an upcoming wedding (mostly from Macy's) and none fit. I decided to go into Nordstrom and found the perfect pair of comfy nude heels with Velcro straps that were both comfy and trendy. I also got doc marten mule suede slip ons that were also great for wide feet. I was surprised it was comfy right off the bat and didn't require breaking in. They were $110. I got $10 off because I had a $10 note on my Nordstrom credit card. The bad: My email address is wrong with the Nordstrom card but every time they ask at the cash register to confirm your email address I've been told I can't change it there and must do it online even though the machine is asking me to answer yes or no if my email address is correct. The interesting: I found my heels on the sale rack for $50 but then saw it on the regular display for $75. Apparently, it was temporarily marked down for two weeks for their anniversary sale but put back to their full price. Luckily, they honored the sale price for me because the sticker said it was $50 on the box. read more

I came to Nordstrom Del Amo today to specifically to purchase a Longchamp bag, and the customer service was extremely disappointing and upsetting. The sales associate was on her phone the entire time while I looked around and didn't bother to greet me until I approached her for help. Even then, she didn't look up from her phone and, in a rude tone, simply said the item was out of stock. There was no effort to check availability, offer alternatives, or let me know if/when it would be restocked. The lack of professionalism left such a bad impression that I walked out. It felt like apparently longchamp sales associates here get paid to be on their phones instead of assisting customers. Definitely not the Nordstrom experience I expected. read more

Sale sections are my weakness, and this one was no different. Thankfully, they didn't have the brands that I was eyeing, but they had a few other discounted pieces that were nice! Sometimes my experiences at Nordstrom can be hit or miss (mostly hits) but today was definitely a win, so much, that I felt it was necessary to update my review. The service that I received today was next level - the person who was helping me was super friendly, helpful, efficient and everything was just a breeze. Her attitude and presence were very welcoming and positive - it def made my experience better. Friendly people make me SO happy. On my way out, another employee asked if I needed help (which I appreciated greatly) and thought it was super sweet ... it's those little things that just make all the difference!!! I was struggling/ carrying a lot so that was very kind of that employee to offer. I was trying to hold everything plus my latte (which was important, lol).... And that offer just made my day. I have been purchasing and exchanging items at Nordstrom for 30 years and have always been very satisfied with the service and quality of products I have received. I came in to return an unused item with all of the tags attached. I did not have a receipt or phone number because it was a gift I received. I wasn't expecting a refund, perhaps a partial credit. I relayed this to the saleswoman at the men's accessory counter. She didn't even scan the tag. She said that she could not process the return without an order number. So I went upstairs to the women's department and relayed the same info, and the helpful and courteous saleswoman processed my return. read more

I went to the Dior counter to get another foundation since Sephora was sold out (blessing in disguise) Jo approached me and asked me what I was looking for and I told her 4wo matte foundation and just with a quick glance she matched me to another shade and had me sit down to show me the difference and the match was perfect! I have only been inside of Nordstroms twice in the past, and purchased items only once. I am EXTREMELY impressed with the sales staff especially in the Kids World shoe department. The ladies there do know shoes very well. They're friendly and very attentive to customers needs. I bought some shoes for my granddaughter and they were so good with her!! Special people! Not only did my experience there go well but I also got my wife some shoes and the staff was great! I have purchased some running shoes and dress loafers and have another pair on order. Came in to Nordstrom with my partner who was so excited to buy his first pair of On cloud shoes. The sales man was great! So we purchased and left the shoe dept and were walking near by the men's dept on our way out when we saw a nice blazer and were looking at sizes to try on at it when an AA sales associate approached us and with without a greeting tells us what's up fellas what are you looking for?! We said we're just looking around. This salesperson aggressively asks well who are you looking for? We motioned it was for one of us so he proceeds to examine us and give us his opinion on the size needed. Which is ok, however, this gentleman decided to hover and literally stand there staring at us while we were looking for the size. We both instantly became uncomfortable and decided to leave the store after such an award situation. Nordstrom service has gone downhill which explains why the entire store was empty on a Sunday afternoon. Pretty sad. I give credit to the staff who are always busy especially during the holidays. Ordering online and picking up in the store is so convenient. The items are neatly packed and checking in is so quick. They may have a line but it moves in seconds. The return process was a little odd because of my encounter with one staff who was very sarcastic.
