This was my secound visit to this Center. I came in the 1st time for a tooth ache. This time it was for a cleaning . I was greeted at the entrance with a nice smile by the attendant who escorted me to the room. I noticed the front gave off a relaxing appearance and they even have an indoor water fall setup. The Hygienist that cleaned my teeth must have done a great job, because my Doctor, Doctor Crocker spent hardly any time having to correct her work. She was a fill-in for the usual Hygienist, but was very nice to me. She made my cleaning a pleasant experience. I was debating which Dentist to choose, since my Regular Dentist had retired. I now have made my choice. Last, but not least, the room had two large windows reducing a clautipic feeling and even a TV, but as is with most clinics, the Home and Garden Channel was on. read more

This dental center could use a dose of maturity. Personally, I find it unprofessional for hygienists to complain about people needing dental help and gossip about their customers (some of which are elderly and therefore have issues such as hearing loss and Alzheimer's) when they choose to make that their profession. Perhaps they shouldn't leave the doors open when they decide to talk rudely about the people who fund their bills and pay their taxes. The entire impression I got of this office was that of high-school girls allowed into an office, trying to keep their "cliques" and probably creating toxic environments for their coworkers as well as their customers. Funding this kind of elementary drama is not on my to-do list; my suggestion: try Morrison Dental. read more

I really liked the office and liked the staff checking and cleaning my teeth. My Nieghbor said not to go there as they are too expensive? Not really sure what she meant by that, well 4 months after date of service I received a bill. The bill stated professional services. I called office and spoke to someone named Erica and she said they do not put an explanation on the bills? She said I was out of network? I called my insurance and they went over the bill, I was charged the in network cost. Insurance told me Norge dental is incorrect and should not be charging this amount. I can't say enough good things about this office, staff is amazing. Went in for what I thought was a crown replacement and after the dr saw me he knew what was wrong right away, my crown needed to be shaved down in some Spots. I went in under the guise of needing a cleaning, but was also concerned for a chipped tooth. The waiting room is huge, and once you're called back, it's difficult to believe you're in the same building you viewed from the outside. It's HUGE! There's even a waterfall fountain inside. The "bedside manner" of my hygienist was very professional and courteous, while also being amicable and familiar. I've been long overdue for a cleaning, but am kind of looking forward to going back and easing my personal concerns for my oral health. My family has been going to Norge Dental Center for 20 years. It wasn't until they stopped accepting our insurance and I had to go to another dentist that I found out they have been ripping us off for all these years. I thought we had an awful lot of cavities and other work that needed done..seemed strange. When we switched to our new dentist, Norge Dental told us that my youngest daughter had two cavities ($500), my middle daughter had four cavities($800). When we switched..the new dentist did xrays, etc...No Cavities! Neither one. My brother in law had been told by Norge that he needed a crown that would cost over $1,000. When he questioned why he needed it and asked why they couldn't do something different and less expensive..they said, yea, we can do that. When he asked the dentist what would happen if he didn't do anything, the dentist said "if I knew that-I would be a millionaire". My brother in law got up and walked out and asked them to close his account and not schedule anything else. read more

Disappointed. I have a Family member who needed dental care. So, I had a complete dental plan in place for my Family member. I was told by Jennifer that for two teeth to get fixed would be about just over $ 4,000.00 to start with and this would take 3 to 4 hours for the two teeth to get fixed and over $ 4,000.00, I told Jennifer at Norge dental center that that was a lot of money and she said why don't you put it on a credit card. I started out getting 1 tooth fixed at almost over $ 3,000.00. I paid over half of that and was on a payment plan for the rest. I got a call from Christi there at Norge dental center, she is one of the receptionists there. Christi called my residence and told me that if I don't pay my bill there it is an "omen".......I called Christi back to ask her if I heard right that she sad that it was an omen (like bad luck) and christi thought it was really funny. I then spoke to Robin her supervisor there and I stated what had happened on the phone and requested that Christy does not call my residence anymore, Robin complied. I was making payments on the small amount that I owed and the last payment that I made, Norge dental cashed within 2 hours I was told by my bank. The final conversation that I had with Robin to send in the remainder of my small payment, Robin was disrespectful to me, "Robin talked over my voice repeatedly" as I was talking and she was rude and I was very disappointed in her approach with communicating. The way that I was talked down to by Robin at Norge dental was very demeaning to me and I would NEVER take my 85 year old Mother there!! I asked Robin why Norge dental can't keep any good dentists there, they continuously loose good dentists there, Robin replied, well you know people move on (that is how she explained it). My Family and I now go to a great Dentist in the next town over and our new dentist office has so many Customers in there, more customers than I have ever seen at Norge dental. read more

I am breaking their bubble. They didn't like my review on Google. But the people are great. But for $6000 my dentures should be better. They had me come back to fix them. The Dentist said " we are going to replace them" He said they was going to send my old dentures to the lab for measurements. I went today. He ground the heck out of these. I then told him ok. He then basically said have a nice day. I WILL NOT ever go to this place again. I will now be going to another dentist to make it right. read more

The gentle manner of the hygienists and the comfortable atmosphere of the Norge Dental Center make going to the dentist a surprisingly pleasant experience. I've noticed a very clear difference in the amount of care taken to keep patients comfortable during cleanings and exams at NDC. I will continue to recommend NDC to my friends and family. I was with this practice for over 14 years, until I recently moved to Florida. My experiences while a patient there, were nothing but amazing and authentic!! The very first time I sat in the chair, I was seen by, Dr. Henley. He was very knowledgeable and gentle. He was overly patient with me too. I had cracked a molar and needed to have it removed. I was horrified/terrified.. He removed it with grace and ease. I recovered emotionally and started there as a patient, getting cleanings every 6 months. I have grown up being a part of the Norge Dental Family. I have had braces, Implants, Root Canals, Teeth Whitening, you name it, I have had it. Best place EVER! Fast forward until now, I am in Florida and can't find anyone remotely comparable to the gang in Virginia. Trust me, have been searching 1.5 years. I settled today, by seeing an Endodontist, my friends raved about this practice (for a molar root canal). Instead of a general dentist. I thought by seeing a Endodontist, a person who does one thing all day, would have been good enough. Oh my goodness, I should've booked a flight to see Ray or Tim for this work instead. I am telling you the truth, be THANKFUL you have such talented and educated Dentist. Be humbled you have PROFESSIONALS to count on. It is really hard trusting anyone else in my mouth, I know this for sure now. Don't take them for granted! I have to go back tomorrow to have the third canal finished. What kind of 'Endodontist' can't finish a molar in one visit? I know one thing, NORGE DENTAL CENTER sure can! read more

Dr. Steven Stensland at the Norge Dental Center is the best dentist I have ever had!!! (And I have hated a lot of dentists in my life.) When you walk into the facility, you're greeted by an extremely friendly and well organized staff. When they walk you to the chair, you pass this amazingly pretty and calming waterfall. However don't let the fancy atmosphere turn you off: they are extremely reasonably priced, which is yet another great thing about this place. I've had nothing but positive experiences here and highly recommend it. It's worth the drive out to Norge (only 15/20 min from Colonial Williamsburg). read more

I had root canal done and new crown put on by Dr Ray Henley in spring of 2013 and this is what happened. I still had pain so I've requested to see a endodontist since R. Henley is a general dentist. Clinic refused my request and suggested that I should see Dr Henley again. Dr Henley said he'll re-do root canal and asked if he can use this filling which I do not remember the name at the moment. He said that it's a fine material and how do I know as a patient laying on the table so I said yes. Later I've heard from my endodontist that type of filling is the endodontist's worst nightmare. Dr Henley said if I still have pain after the 2nd root canal treatment, I'll have to have that tooth removed. So I was too scared to complain about pain. I regret that I complain about toothache after the root canal. He is probably a fine dentist but I just wanted to share my experience so others might not have to go through the same thing read more

Truly, an outstanding dental office. I haven't met an unfriendly or unprofessional hygienist yet, and they work very hard to insure that you see the same hygienist every visit. Dr. Hall (my dentist) is friendly, thorough, very competent, and professional. The team there clearly enjoys working together and takes great pride in what they do. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant, from the tasteful and well-maintained exterior to the spacious, comfortable interior. When I switched to Norge, they identified a gum condition that had not been detected before. Untreated, I would have been in big trouble. I am not a fan of going to the dentist. So much so that I haven't been in 5 years. But, I've been having some pain around the gums near my wisdom teeth. I visited this afternoon. My appointment was at 4:30, they treated my gums (which already feel better) and I was out by 4:45. Everyone was incredibly kind and the office is beautiful! I had xrays and an initial consultation a few weeks ago. Dr. Bharal ignored my polite refusal of her excessive "treatment plan" (more than $20,000 in fillings and crowns), and used up the time I'd allotted for a cleaning to badger me. I reiterated that I had a history of chemotherapy and radiation as well as other illnesses that made it unwise to waste money on crowns and fillings that would just be further damaged in the near future. When I rescheduled the cleaning appointment, I was ordered into a consult which I did not want or need. Last week one of my teeth chipped, and I called to see if I could swap the cleaning appointment for repair of the chipped tooth. I indicated I didn't need a "consult" but was prepared to pay cash for a crown, and the receptionist agreed to what I requested. When I got there today, however, the dentist tapped the chipped tooth so many times during her exam it began throbbing. She then refused to begin the work unless I agreed to her coworker's overall treatment plan! I refused, and was shown the door! read more
