I recently had a issue with a cancelation of my appointment after waiting for 5 months. When I got upset about them wanting me to wait until August for another appointment, I received a call from the office manager. Although she did try to accommodate me, all she did was belittle me and try to make me feel subhuman. To add insult to injury, today, I received a letter from his office stating that I was "inappropriate" with his office staff. I asked the doctor to call me to discuss his manager's attitude toward me, before he sent the letter. I still have not heard from him. Do not waste your time with this guy. It's not worth your time and aggravation to deal with people who treat you like crap.

What I will say is that the staff at the front desk and at the intake process may be curt but they ultimately respectful. I work in customer service and I can sympathize with what they go through. I loved Dr. Barbara Gordon from the first time I visited her office, not sure now how many years…read moreago. Nevertheless I have steadily become more disabled and can no longer navigate easily the stairs, nor the narrow accommodations inside, with nothing more inconvenient than a rollator I must push around in front of me when outside. Inside, to be sure I can use simply a cane. But walking forward in any kind of traffic is just impossible for me. In addition, her office itself is typically so crowded and behind in schedule that one day, I'm sure at least a year now since I have seen her, I was waiting with my health aide for a good 3 hrs. before being seen at all. This is not to be taken lightly by anybody, especially when my aide must obey a pre-set schedule under terms set forth by Medicaid. Otherwise I am grateful for having had the experience of one of the warmest, combined with quite knowledgeable, gyn's I have ever known, who still welcomes pts. on Medicare and Mdcd in her office. One more thing: her hours of operation are very extensive, and there should be a time for anybody to fit themselves in at any time, even at relatively short notice. I have never found the staff members, including ones at the desk, to be anything but friendly and accommodating, with careful attention to what they are doing, without for example, accidentally taking your Medicaid card until after you are home and you yourself discover it! (Then what?????)
