Dipped nails. More than 3 colors $5 upcharge. This is only my second time getting my nails done with the dipping technique. I am new to this process and still developing an eye for what the finished product should look like. My tech was so personally and nice that I forgot to check the quality befor I left. The pinky of one nail needed another coat compared to the other one. One of my thumbs had dents from the UV machine-I think when it went in I didn't realize it scraped the edge. Another nail had a hump towards the nail bed and dipped mid nail. The first time I had them done I was in St Louis and the technique was quite different. When the tech dipped the nail, her next step was to tap the powder off by tapping my finger in a side ways motion. My first experience was that the excess powder was removed with a kabuki brush. Instead of spraying my hands with a solution like this tech did after my last application, I washed my hands. This is to remove any residual product. I was charged $5 to remove the previous nails. The only questionable instance was when one mail did not nudge after 30 min soaking. Instead of applying more acetone and letting it soak; she pulled off the thick nail residue. My daughter warned me that this ruins your natural nail. The gel pedicure and dipped manicure took nearly two hours. I will return the next day to see how it will go to fix my nails. The policy is within one week. The original tech wasn't there but after waiting a few minutes another tech repaired my nails quickly. The tech was pleasant and polite. When I went on a Sat there was only 2 other people there. I did call ahead for an appt. I will say that this is the first nail salon that I have been to outside of Aveda that actually asks how do you want your toe nails to be shaped. I find this so frustrating and 99% of all nail shops that they don't bothers ask and you don't feel like you can ask. Detected a great job forming my nails in the rounded shape. read more

Great service from Lee and the most reasonably priced pedicure I have had in years! It was $60 for a 90 minute service with all of the bells and whistles (plus $15 for gel polish). The results were wonderful. Lee and everyone in the store was so friendly (offering up homemade Cambodian treats to everyone in the salon haha). I will definitely be back!! We were in need of a new salon as our old salon was sold. Lucky for us the best reviews pointed to CT Nails in our own neighborhood. First, my wife and I both had manicures and pedicures. We are both considerably hard on our nails in the garden and sports. On the occasion we must be presentable we get our nails done in hopes to pass for civilized people. My sister-in-law and I were in town from Atlanta and had the BEST experience here. I got a pedicure and powder manicure. I opted for a longer service to treat myself because I was on vacation. She massaged my legs for so long. It was so relaxing and unexpected. My sister-in-law wanted to get a fun powder manicure that required a little more time and effort. They not only obliged, but were so cute and excited to help her choose a color and repeatedly asked if her nails looked the way she wanted. They even convinced me to get a similar style even though it was more work and effort for them. I wish I could find a nail salon in ATL that was as attentive as CT Nails. If we vacation near St. Augustine next summer, we will definitely take the time to visit CT Nails again. read more

I have been coming here for almost 2 years and have exclusively gotten pedicures from Tary and have been happy with the work for the price. The last two visits I have had my nails done by another tech. The first time I wasn't happy with the color because it had way more glitter than she said but not a huge deal. Today I showed her a picture and she told me the color and BEFORE she started I said it looked too dark and she said no that's the lightest they have and it would look fine. After two dips she said "oh you're right it's too dark. Come back tomorrow" I told her I couldn't due to traveling and she said okay and continued for another 30 minutes without fixing the color because she didn't have time, it was 3pm and they close at 7pm. She just wanted to move to another client since they overbooked themselves. She cut every single finger with the drill, I was bleeding and have parts of my nails missing dip but she would not fix anything. At check out she charged me full price and told me to come back another day, I told her I could not and so then she started raising her voice and telling me it's my fault. I kindly asked her to stop yelling at me that she was making it worse. She then stood over make sure I tipped. I was so embarrassed and crying and bleeding. I left as soon as possible. I called and asked for the owner to call me back. I paid $125 and got back $40. I told them I would send my husband up to get the refund, when he arrived they asked if he had a receipt for proof while holding their copy of mine. He did not take one penny more than the cost of the manicure out of respect for the employee who did their job. They lied to him saying I picked out the color when I did not and the told them t that wasn't true then she changed her reason to it was an OPI problem not theirs and they offered to fix it but not today which does not help. I was so distracted by everything with my fingers that I didn't notice that for the first time ever Tary did a bad job. Now I'm still out $85 and and am so upset by them. read more
