The server advised in advance that the grill was down, so only poached or scrambled eggs (slightly disappointing as I prefer sunny side up, but survivable) so I opted for poached. 45 minutes later (not an intolerable wait depending on staffing issues) my plate arrives with the server now telling me that they ran out of potatoes (surprise!)...so no home fries (which is honestly the whole reason we go out for Sunday breakfast), but a smattering of fruit now sits in its lieu. Only 2, not the accepted minimum 3, slices of bacon. The toast is so cold the butter won't melt. The worst breakfast I've had in recent memory, and I think that I probably lost weight eating it.

(Learned later on that it was their grand opening) When we went in, the staff was so nice, they even gave us recommendations on what placss to check out before leaving. The chicken had a light sauce which was quite good, but the bread overwhelmed the sandwich -- so much so that I took the entire bottom piece off altogether. The place has a large seating area with a laid-back, coffee shop vibe -- although, a sign on my tables exhorted me to be respectful of others and take up the table for just 30 minutes. I was the only one there, apart from an older gentleman who looked to be practically napping in a nearby chair. Hmmm...perhaps they're busier at some other time? Morning, maybe?? We called our order in 24 hours in advance, text from the parking lot and the order was delivered to our pop-up trunk with a smile and an "enjoy your day." We explained we were seasonal residents and asked if that was a problem for their staff or supplies. It was not a problem since we gave advance notice. We were spoiled with excellent service as per their usual style.

What was particularly impressive was that there were almost no bad fruit in the pre packed baskets and containers. The opal plums were some of the most delicious I have ever had, and the peaches did not disappoint either. The market also sells wild blueberries at about $9 a pint and I would say this is worth a try if you are visiting the region for the first time! One thing to note is that the fruit tastes so good because it is sold rather ripe, and so I would not really recommend buying more than what you can eat in 3-4 days! Aside from the fruit, the market carries your typical variety of jams, preserves, and baked goods. We tried the Toblerone shortbread cookies and they were absolutely delicious and addictive!
