Walked in without an apt with my daughter who wanted her navel pierced (belly button). Was super quiet, only 1 appointment wrapping up at 4:30 pm on a Sun. Front desk was friendly & offered information about tattoos for me- $150 per hr, so I will go elsewhere for that. But they had computers with artist portfolios to scroll through - nice!! They have a small pool table in the lobby & comfy sofas too. A sm fridge with drinks/snacks for sale. Nice touch!! My daughter was called back to a sm room with a doctors chair covered with paper- clean! The associate pulled everything out & was super nice- made my daughter feel comfortable. They got the piercing done, problem free & we went to pay. In & out in about 20 mins. Total WITH cleaning products & tip under $80. For piercings go!! Absolutely. Tattoos are over priced, it seems & the art is great but plenty of great talent for less- we are ALL on budgets these days but still want to splurge a little on something besides bills!!!! The low rating concerns how I feel about Al and my touch-up appt. I feel like he needs to listen and take criticism better. I have nothing against him, but I would not see him again. He is a very chill guy, and he was accommodating because I was running 15 minutes late. The overall issue I have with Al is that he didn't seem to care about his work and just quickly did the touch-up to get it done. I went in to get the lines cleaned up. Al disagreed that it needed to be touched up and said it looked fine. He also blamed my skin and the reference photo for why it came out the way it did. Which honestly was not why. It was the way he tattooed it. Eventually, it got touched up to the point where it looked decent enough, but that's after I checked with my sister about four times. If you plan to get scripts from him, please check before leaving. At my initial appt I made the mistake of not looking carefully (it's on my back) and left with wonky and inconsistent lines. I don't think he is a great fit if you want decent line work done. However, Magna made my experience a whole lot better. He was very kind, friendly, and understanding. Magna is a current apprentice, but please go to him when he starts taking clients. He is very professional and genuinely cares for the client's satisfaction. If I do go back, I will see him instead. read more

First of all, if you're looking to roll in off the street, pick out a mediocre piece of art from a wall of flash and get it inked on a whim, this is not that type of place. You book a consultation, discuss what you want done - this is basically commissioning a piece of art. Expect to wait a few months for your appointment. My artist was Rhiannon. I came in with an old, faded tat from 25 years ago and a basic description of what I wanted to cover it up with. She did an absolutely incredible job - the realization of what I wanted was amazing and the execution flawless. I sat for almost 8 hours and found the shop clean, professional and as comfortable as you can really be when sitting for that long for a tattoo. I will be recommending Norsk and Rhiannon in particular to anyone I know who is looking to get a tattoo and returning for any more ink of my own. Super impressed!! read more

Great studio, great pricing and great people! I went here to get both nipples pierced and found the experience to be awesome. Mallory was very sweet, knowledgeable and professional. I was a walk-in and was in and out very quickly. The total price for piercing and standard barbells was $60. This was about half where I had priced out other locations. The studio was very clean, and the receptionist was also very friendly and welcoming. These are the only piercings I have and I have no tattoos, so not a lot of experience here. Not in one instance did we feel rushed or that too many questions were being asked. Mallory was our artist and she was amazing!! Super quick and she will make it as painless as it could possibly be. I got a smiley piercing here with Mallory. She was great, really set my mind at ease, very comfortable, very calming. I did think it was a little too high and crooked at first, but later after looking it's cause my teeth are crooked so she pierced it so it looks straight with them which I appreciate!! She also pierced it high so it has a lower chance of rejecting as this is a piercing which rejects a lot. They explained everything well, and had a great selection of jewelry. I LOVED the gumball machine tattoo at the front ($50 get what you get!) and I WILL be coming back to do that when I get free time lol. I came in and did a total of 6 piercings within a few weeks (4 upper lobe piercings + 2 upper helix piercings) I was definitely scared because I haven't had a cartilage piercing done before but Mallory made the process easy. They also made sure I liked the placement while noting that certain places couldn't be pierced because of my veins. All my piercings so far have healed up nicely which is great because my other ear piercings have been a pain to heal. I would definitely recommend checking out this place for piercings :) read more

Where to start- they made me feel so comfortable after I was having really bad anxiety. They are extremely caring about there clients and make you feel so comfortable and confident! I went in to get my first tattoos, one on the ribs and ankle and knew it was going to hurt. But they made me feel confident and relaxed and took mini breaks but the atmosphere felt great. I had an excellent experience at Norsk a few weeks back. I called and made a consultation appt with Nate. I came in and talked to him about how I want to touch up and add onto existing tattoos. I then made my appointment with the lovely receptionist to come back and get the work done. Nate did an awesome job and had great ideas to bring some older pieces back to life. Horrible experience. Save your time and money and find a professional place. Amber the piercer was aggressive and heavy handed did not properly sterilize the piercing and inserted a nose piercing instead of a tragus piercing which caused my tragus piercing to swell up and become infected in addition to piercing me in the wrong spot to begin with. Then Amber lied and said it was healing just fine when I went back in to have it looked at and to just use some tree oil on it despite the agonizing pain I was feeling which prompted me to get a second opinion at which point second opinion confirmed it was all done wrong to begin with. I will now have to wait 3-4 months to get it redone by a real professional. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. Completely unprofessional, DIRTY, rude and untrustworthy. read more

This was my 2nd visit coming to Norsk for a piercing. The first time I was serviced by Amber! She pierced my nose was very professional, fast, and clean. I ended up getting a keloid inside my nose so I removed it. It wasn't Ambers fault or anything it's just how my body reacted to the piercing. So I waited a few months and came back to Norsk for my 2nd visit!!! From entering the door I was greeted so warmly by the receptionist n it instantly made me comfortable! During this visit I was serviced by the oh so awesome Mallory!! Mallory was very friendly and very informative with my piercing experience. She did my nose piercing so fast I couldn't even react to the slight pain! It was over so quick that I decided to get another piercing during this visit! This is my very first post on anything. I never left a review before but I am very proud that my first review will be on Norsk Studios! This place is definitely worth it. I went here to get my double lobe piercing. Everything and everyone there exceeded my expectations. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice, funny and made me feel warm & welcomed upon my entrance. The way she explained the pricing and after care of my piercings was very simple and informative. Left a very good first impression of the place. My piercing was done my Amber. This was my first time getting my ears pierced with a needle (used a gun before) so I was a little nervous. Amber was very cool and easy to talk to. So by the time the needle was in her hand, I felt assured and comfortable. The piercing itself was great! It was so quick and surprisingly a lot less painful than I imaged. I was so pleased when I left the store that I told my friend to get her piercing done here too, which she will be getting this week. I know she will be in good hands. This is the absolute BEST tattoo studio I have ever been to. I have been to almost all tattoo shops within 75 miles, and nothing compares to Norsk. The girl at the front desk is the absolute sweetest person- she is so welcoming and helpful. She really does make a huge difference to the experience there. I have gotten a tattoo with every artist there and have NEVER been disappointed. Each artist is extremely creative, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will never visit another tattoo studio besides Norsk. ** update below initial review (1st review) I'm huge on customer service, so although I haven't gotten tattooed by the crew at Norsk yet, I was extremely satisfied with the customer service I just experienced when I called! I asked the receptionist if Corey had time for a consultation this afternoon if I were to drop by, and she politely said he is not, but offered me his personal cell # and explained that I could text him to further chat. She was very helpful andpersonable .. unlike other tattoo shops I've called in the past. I'm looking forward to speaking with Corey and getting some ink done by him.. at which point I'll update my review and post some pics! ***Update: My consultation with Corey went well. I appreciated the fact that he was honest and not just going after the money. He told me what would work, what wouldn't, what colors wouldn't show up on me, etc. I really wanted my lion to be a lions natural color, but bc my skin tone is yellow, he recommended black. After speaking with him and sharing my ideas, he was able to fit me in within the month. I was a little nervous being that I wouldn't be able to see the sketch until the day of my appt. and I was scared I may not have liked it. So the day came and after the possibility of having to cancel (one of his kids got sick) he ended up still fitting me, he just pushed back our time a few hours. I make a point to say that bc he could've easily canceled, but he knew I was losing out on money bc I called in sick to work, so he did everything he could to make it, and for that I was truly grateful. But when he showed me the sketch, I fell in love! He designed it exactly how I wanted and incorporated everything I asked for... from the dreads, to the Jamaican beads, to the feathers, and the Chinese flag (my nationalities). He even took the pics I sent him of lions and made it more feminine. He was extremely patient when it came to the placement too. I knew I wanted it on my thigh, so he kept moving it around until I was happy with it. The other thing I liked about Corey was that he initially thought it'd be a 4 hour piece bc of the size, but altho it ended up being double the time, he still took his time, despite how late it was getting (we finished at 10pm). He is also very light handed which I loooovvveeed considering how long this piece took. We have one last touch up to go over the stars then we're done! I recommend everyone to check the shop out bc these artists are beyond talented !!!!! read more

Nate!!!!!! What an artist! He was so kind. Everyone at this studio made booking the appointment and then the consultation process so pleasant. It was a hurricane watch the day I was to drive up for my consultation and I was nervous. Nate was so sweet and agreed to FaceTime the consultation. Of course, just unfortunately me, I was late for the actual appointment and called to say so and they were fine. I asked Nate if he would tattoo my husband's name on my wrist which was NOT the original part of this process. On the spot, he agreed and it is just PERFECT! Ive loved Norsk ever since I discovered them, Ive gotten majority of my piercings there as well as tattoos and always had an amazing experience. However the recent time Ive visited to get a piercing I noticed there was a new receptionist. The new receptionist seemed very bored to be there, didnt smile once and overall made the visit somewhat miserable. I also noticed she hardly knows what she is talking about piercing wise, I was just very disappointed in my recent visit, and it was the first time that I wanted to leave as soon as I could. read more

When I came back in Saturday Dylan had customized it perfectly and was ready for me. The overall experience was fantastic. The shop was clean and everyone I spoke to was very nice and knowledable. They were great!! I got four lobe piercings, one cartilage, and one rook. I was really nervous coming in, and the ladies in the front were making me feel extremely comfortable and safe. They throughly explained to me the different piercings, etc., and every single long winded question I asked. Courtney was so patient and detailed with her work! I definitely recommend you asking for her when you come in. She brought to my attention that I had a lot of nerve endings in my ear, so she gave me MULTIPLE options of where to pierce it. And I switched the places where I want to pierced and she was sweet enough to dot it AGAIN for me. She even brought out a ruler; and I was genuinely impressed with her work!! There were other customers, but she didn't rush or anything at all, and I noticed she took safety extremely seriously. She made sure I didn't feel nauseous or lightheaded. My sister and I got our first tattoos there with Tyler. He was so comforting through the process. We had to take our shirts off because it was located on our back and it was not awkward whatsoever. Curtains were placed around us for privacy. He talked to us the whole time to distracted us from the minor pain. They use vegan ink which is very cool! The price was extremely reasonable. We each got a quote from a book on our shoulder for less than $100. You have to make a $50 deposit before hand that goes towards the tattoo. Came with a few friends to the Adoption event. Event itself was rather good. I picked a tattoo amd was satisfied with everything except my artist. I think his name was David. Very unprofessional, not warm at all. Was very snappy when i asked him questions regarding the piece. Tattoo came out good. At the end of my time slot, he proceeded to try and take a picture of it. Im not upset about that at all. What i am upset about is he proceeded to grab my arm amd move it all over the place! Twisting it and moving it wildly to tey and get good lighting. A total jerk move considering he was grabbing pretty hard right next to where i was just stabbed for 40 minutes. Total jerk. Wont be coming back to this shop. read more

He is very skilled and although our choices we not challenging he was meticulous and precise in his design and execution. My roommate luckily told me about the charity event Norsk was doing last weekend so my boyfriend and I went hoping there'd be 2 spots left for us to get tattooed. When we walked in there was only one spot left initially but due to impeccable timing and answered prayers from the tattoo gods, we both got spots right away. With the stars aligning I was also blessed with the opportunity to have my work done by Corey the shop owner (who is usually booked out 5 months in advance). Aside from being incredibly chill and easy to talk to, his work is unbelievable and without a doubt my favorite piece to date. I will hands down be going back to Norsk in the future because whether it's Corey tattooing you or any of the other artists, (everyone's work is impeccable) you'll get to hangout with cool people and walk out with a fucking life long masterpiece. read more

I've only had experience at one other studio who has done my first 4 tattoos. Since my artist moved away, I needed to find a new studio I could trust and wanted to use some birthday money to get a new design I'd been thinking of. I, admittedly, went to another studio around the corner because some friends of mine did the design for their website. I walked in the door of their ritzy looking, salon-style studio and walked out the door without making an appointment because they made me feel like a nuisance for wanting to discuss my ideas. They said my idea was "untattooable," said it would take 3 and a half hours to create something similar, quoted me $150, and then the artist walked away without a parting word when she realized I wasn't staying to have it done immediately. I decided to come to Norsk because of the good reviews they had online, but I wasn't optimistic because of the bad experience I'd had around the corner. I walked in the door and was immediately met by a smiling, cheerful face at the front desk. I told her I just wanted to talk about a design, she directed me to the couch and asked if I wanted a water while I waited on Tyler to finish with another couple. Tyler was amazing. The first thing out of his mouth when I told him my idea and how the other studio shot it down was, "Nothing is untattooable." He was excited to come up with ideas, put his own vision into my idea, and immediately asked if he could go draw up a concept design. The design was exactly what I was hoping for. And, without knowing what the other studio had quoted me, he gave me a very fair price for a larger design that was far below what the other studio asked. He even spent time intensely searching for the right selection of fonts for the text in my design to make sure the finished product was perfect. THEN, he said he could easily have it done in about an hour. And he did just that, without skimping on the detail and care of the design. I was blown away. I'm thrilled with my new tattoo, the level of detail and care that was put into the entire process, the fantastic price, and even the amazing conversation we got to have while he was working. So I went in for 2 cartilage piercings with my 15 year old cousin. I got upgraded jewelry and got my two piercings done. We had to wait on her mom to come so we went and ate and came back and the piercer changed to another young woman. I ended up getting one more piercing on my right ear and my cousin got two from this young lady as well. Tonight my piercings from the first woman were so swollen that one of the studs was so swollen the jewelry about disappeared, then popped off spewing blood. I want to mention I followed after care to a tea and kept the card with me. It was night and day between how these two young women pierced our ears... one cleaned our wounds well after and took a lot more care. The piercing done by the second woman is nicely healing and not swollen at all. I seriously want my 100$ back from getting my left ear butchered. read more
