Stop 2 - on our 2024 Hundreds of Hops Tour! I'll start with what a beautiful location! Patrons were sledding with their kids out back & there was cocoa to warm up the wee ones, with tasty brews for the older crowd. We loved the hand-painted pulls & thoroughly enjoyed the brews. Staff weren't overly friendly & may even have been a bit stand-off-ish, which is ok with me. They certainly weren't rude, tho perhaps a bit bored on a quiet, cold Sunday. On to the important part. The beer... I had the Mango Tango - Mango on the nose and tasty to dip, but the finish was almost as alaseltzer. The hubs had Snowball Fight - this begged to be hot poked and was the favorite for both of us. I've bookmarked this one to revisit and look forward to enjoying the views on a warmer day!

What a great time for the whole family! Although at the surface, a visit here may appear to tilt towards adult only enjoyment, we attended with three families, including three young cousins under 12. Everyone enjoyed themselves with soda, snacks and dogs (visiting courtesy of other customers) and--especially--climbing on the vintage John Deere farm tractor parked out back. Food and beer are all self serve from a well manned service area. I asked the proprietor about the tractor and he replied that it's for the education and enjoyment of patron who might not be acquainted with the agricultural way of life! Great concepts all the way around! Going??? The beers change weekly and the food offerings are limited, but you'll find enjoyment here. The key is to relax, chill and take in the lovely countryside as you sip a cold one....or three.

A friend who lives and works in Rosemount brought me here for a girls night mid week - it was busy and there was a birthday event going on but we found parking and there was mulitple places to sit. The building itself was super cool looking, nearly all wood beams, it seemed like a newer building. I will say it was far out there, off a dirt road and not near many places. A bit of a hike for some I assume but worth it! Lots and lots of seating and a very clean space. I noticed a lots of families and children so it seems to be for sure family and kid friendly. I believe I saw some games and cards available but I could be wrong. I also noticed staff were regularly walking around collecting empties and cleaning tables which is appreciated. Drinks seemed to be ordered at the bar only which is totally fine, took a couple minutes at the most to wait in line behind a couple people. Staff were kind and friendly, as well as efficient. They have a food menu as well as some snacks such as large cookies. I ordered a IPA and the chicken tenders. The beer was tasty, would get again! The chicken tenders were nothing special and luke warm but I did not come here for food - they did have different sauce options which is nice and the service was quick. My friend had french fries which were very tasty! Very fair pricing on food and drinks. What I LOVED and will bring me back is their seltzer option which you can add whatever flavor you want to. My friend who is GF got one and I also ended up getting one. I have never seen seltzers available in multiple flavors via what appeared to be a liquid or syrup added. Would recommend and will return!

Cool place, great beer, awesome cheese curds and nice staff! Popped in Friday night just to try a new brewery. Really cool space! Good beer menu and just the right amount of food options. The cheese curds and pretzel were spot on. We tried three different beers -- Moo Moo Magic; Red Pine; and Goin' to Town. Smooth! If you like hops, hop on this train. I like North 20 Brewing and pretty sure you will too! Until next time...

Bar and plenty of tables

This brewery has been open for about a year and a half now and yesterday was our first time giving it a try! I love how the brewery is out all by itself and it is not in a "typical" brewery location. We were talking with the bartender and when there is more snow on the ground kids will go sledding in the back (there's a good sided hill) which I thought was fun! There are plenty of tables inside for small and large parties. You can order both beer and some select hot food items (we did not order food this time). They have shelves of games for those that want to do a little something extra! During the warmer months they open their garage door walls to open up the inside to the outside! There's also a patio out back that over looks the hill / woods which makes it feel private and cozy. We will have to come back during the spring and give the patio a try!

We had a wonderful little date night at North 20! My boyfriend's family lives out in Rosemount, so we're often out there trying to find some new places to try. We had heard North 20 opened right in his family's neighborhood so we thought we'd check it out! There's ample parking out front even though it's not paved - but the location itself is beautiful! You can tell it's a new build with a warm woody feel. The patio wraps around the building and has a beautiful view of a valley with lots of trees. I can just tell in a week or so when the colors change it's going to be gorgeous! They also had a small cornhole area. There's a small kitchen and menu to order from, but we ate before we came so we just ordered at the bar. There were about 10 beer options, including a hard seltzer. We decided to try flights so we could taste a lot! I ordered the Oktoberfest, Chocolate Milk Stout, Kölsch and Pale Ale (which was an accident since I don't like pale ales - oops!) All of the beers I tried were absolutely delicious! My favorite was the Oktoberfest - very warm and great for the fall. The stout was sweet and creamy with the Kölsch acting as a refreshing light beer. My boyfriend also liked all of his choices (lots of IPAs)! You will definitely find us back when we're in the area!

We've been (somewhat patiently) waiting for this brewery to open for almost 2 years and it did not disappoint! The beers are incredible, the ambiance is great, the location is nicely secluded, and the service is prompt and friendly. So happy the brewery opened in our neck of the woods, yet would totally travel for it! Also, swag is real nice too! :)))

One of the newer breweries in the state, North 20 is knocking out beers and serving bar snacks (I eyed some Akis pretzels!). Their goal is to provide a place to gather and enjoy locally brewed beer that is more than just tasting a well made drink, but is having a space to meet, have fun, and drink fresh beer. The space is open and friendly, with folks more than happy to start a conversation. Hilltop: A Hefeweizen with medium banana and medium-light clove. There is a light white bread flavor and aroma that provides a bit of body. Prairie View: An American Pale Ale with melon and pineapple hop flavors, low bitterness, and a medium tropical fruit aroma that makes you want to dive right in! What the Hop!?: A Double IPA with plenty of citrus and tropical fruit, I pull out some guava, passionfruit, and grapefruit notes. Toasted bread malt and a medium body. Very smooth for a Double IPA that is on the higher end of the ABV for the style - amazed this is sitting at 9.2%. Hay Bale: A New England-style Hazy IPA with juicy citrus flavor. I let the beertender choose this spot on the flight board and they were between this and the Cream Ale. This Hazy hit the spot on a Summer day! _________________

Great new brewery in Rosemount. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but it's only a short drive from civilization. Don't let the gravel road fool you. I chose a hoppy option and it was very tasty. I also grabbed a taste of their milk stout and that's on my list for next time. The atmosphere is great. Pine walls, outstanding views and large tables will make you feel cozy and welcome. There is food but we didn't try it this go-round. We will definitely be back.

Oktoberfest was good out of the can, but even better in the right glass!

Oktoberfest was good out of the can, but great in the right glass! Can't wait to sample the rest of the menu!

So happy to have another brewery in the south metro! North 20 doesn't disappoint! The outdoor space is large and overlooks a valley. Bonus - dogs are welcome in the patio. Indoor space is also plentiful, with lots of seating in an open area. Large doors open to the patio so, when the weather is right, you've got fresh air flowing in. I went with a flight of 4 beers so I could try multiple. Cream Ale (Going to Town) is spot on - refreshing with a nice malt finish. The chocolate milk stout (Moo Moo Magic) is really nice with the light chocolate and coffee notes and the smooth finish of lactose. Pale Ale and Hazy IPA very decent. Food is available and local, but can't comment because we didn't try it. Will definitely be back!

FINALLY stopped in today.. @ open so just a couple of people inside, which gave me a chance to briefly chat up friendly beertender, Heather! I opted for an IPA flight...pleasantly surprised that of the four the Harvest Moon was my favorite. Then I opted for pints of Moo Moo Magic and Tin Can. Again, both delicious. Beertender Dan came on so I asked him what I asked Heather "for what's on tap, what's your go-to?" He gave me a Prairie View taster. Whoa!! Surprised for a Pale Ale I thought it was Kolsch-esque and @ only 5.6%, totally crushable!! What a FANTASTIC day & experience!!! Friendly beertenders!! Delicious beers in quite the comfortable and spacious tap room!! I told beertender Dan "you are only 20ish miles from my place, my wallet thinks... a mistake has been made by stopping here!" ha. Definitely looking forward to my next visit...as I noticed I only tried 7 of the 9 taps, I have to go back for the kolsch and seltzer!! THANKS North 20 for an absolutely delightful inaugural visit!! Cheers

I liked the choice of doing the flight since I'm always trying to taste everything. They had a wide variety and I usually like the fruit beers and I found the pineapple one to be delicious! The old fashion was quite strong! The bar is pretty big and open, good for mingling. The food looked delicious too but we were only here for late night drinks. They have popcorn and pull tabs available too. They also do trivia and happy hour. We loved the vibes here. The bartender was friendly, servers got us water once but don't come back to check on us but we were ok with being left alone that night.

A Self-Service Sisyphus: The Taps and Trials of Union 32 In…read morethe shadow of the Vikings' headquarters in Eagan, Union 32 Craft House offers a uniquely Minnesotan proposition. Named for the state's status as the 32nd to join the Union, the establishment is built around a "Beer Wall"--a self-pour monument to local brewing that promises the drinker ultimate autonomy. It is a large, inviting space, designed for the expansive social ritual of a modern taproom.  The culinary offerings here are a pleasant surprise, rising significantly above the standard "hole-in-the-wall" bar fare. The menu feels intentional rather than an afterthought, providing a solid foundation for the liquid education happening at the taps. One cannot fault the quality of the sustenance or the hospitality of the staff, who remain remarkably friendly despite a recurring operational shadow: the house always seems to be exactly one person short. Each shift carries the palpable energy of a team perpetually running a man down, a testament to their grit but a strain on the overall rhythm of the room. However, the centerpiece of the experience--the self-serve technology--is where the friction lies. While the concept of filling one's own glass is liberating, the digital interface lacks a certain clairvoyance. There is nothing quite so deflating as committing to a pour only to have the keg go "bust" mid-stream, or finding that the tap you've selected is already dry. The system requires a more robust marriage of software and cellar management; the guest should not have to be the one to discover a vacancy in the line. "A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure." -- Czech Proverb Union 32 is a noble experiment in craft beer culture, providing a vast playground for the adventurous palate. But until the technology catches up with the inventory, and the roster is filled by that one missing player, it remains a work in progress--even if the beer itself is already a finished masterpiece.
