This brewery is consistently crowded. Adults, kids, dogs;;.it's pretty much standing room only. And with good reason. Their tap list is huge and the beers are really well made. You can expect to stand in line for awhile, but the line generally moves pretty fast. The tap list is divided into three categories. IPAs, light and seasonal brews. I dont get out to Plymouth often. Stopped in Saturday afternoon....as i waited in lone to order i glanced around... not a single solo spot to sit....i dipped. I came back out Sunday morning shortly after open. Surprise!! Several tables were already full! Rookie....the USA Olympic game! So after a nice beery chat @ the counter i took my Dark Helmet pint & grabbed a seat. It was a pretty fun time.... little kids happily walking around just...keeps a smile on your face! The "fans" were cool to share the tap room with. Luce Line is a comfortable tap room w friendly & knowledgeable staff pouring delicious beers. Not a huge parking lot but plenty of street parking. It's always crowded Often struggle for barstool Parking can be tough I have no worries whatsoever about Luce Line going out of business. They are always jammed. I think it's more due to the location than the beer. It is the only brewery in Plymouth which is something like the 7th largest city in Minnesota. I'm guessing the vast majority of the customers live or work within a ten mile radius. I'm in the latter camp. The beer can be pretty good, but is not stellar. You would think it is the Tree House of the Midwest with how busy it can get. The last couple sours I've had here have been really good. Everything else is OK or above average. One of my favorite breweries in the cities, and it's right in Plymouth! Not only do I love their variety of beer, rotating food truck, and snacks available - but now they serve coffee on the weekends! We walked the Luce Line trail to get here which was a beautiful start to the morning. Our 2 drinks were $13, but didn't mind supporting one of our favorite local businesses. We sat outside and enjoyed our coffees (very delicious, there's a small menu since they just have one person working the machine and counter) while playing with a cribbage board. There's lots of games to choose from here! Definitely recommend starting your weekend morning here or enjoying an afternoon/evening. read more

We stopped here as part of our pubpass. First time we've been here and it was great. Staff was super nice and made great beer recommendations. I had an Ecstatic Static West Coast IPA which was juicy and the right amount of hoppy. We brought our grand dog who was welcomed inside on a rainy afternoon. The food truck, Red Rooster, was serving food and we noshed on some medium spice chicken wings. So good. I loved the line up of pin ball machines. Lots of tables for enjoying conversation or getting some work done. Patio was nice but way to wet on our visit. Great stop. read more

The beer is good, and the access to a food truck is wonderful. But, not sure if it's a bar or a daycare center. It's always full of kids running around unattended while Momsy and Popsy drink. Weekends are the worst, as invariably there's kids birthday parties taking place. Its. A. Bar. If nothing else, consider setting a time window in which kids aren't allowed. This is my first pub pass stop of 2024! A great open space with tables for any size group! They offer a food truck but it sadly wasn't there when we stopped. They also have a kitchen. I've met friends here for happy hour a few times and it's a really nice place to stop and spend some time. It's always surprisingly crowded so we are clearly not the only ones who think so. I was headed to the Twin Cities on business and of course had to scope out local breweries. I'm from neighboring Wisconsin and some of my favorite beers from from MN. Made it to Luce Line at 6pm on a Sunday, and met up with a local friend. It was a super nice venue! Wide open and seemed to be a nice mix of people including families. I had two beers, a kolsch and a brown and both were excellent. I'd love to go back when I have more time and the ability to try other things (including purchasing some crowlers), because it's a great venuem=, the people were nice and the beer was good. read more

Stopped here with a friend on a Friday evening for a beer and pizza. There's so much seating and it was almost full when we got there around 5:30 p.m. But we seated ourselves at the end of a ginormous picnic table and it was all good. This place is incredibly family friendly! Probably one-third of the guests had children of all ages in tow. They do add to the noise bouncing around the place, though. Plenty of beer choices, and I had a delicious Foggy Bottom IPA. We also ordered a sausage pizza to share. The sausage had a nice fennel seed flavor and it made me wonder if they make it themselves or buy it from a butcher. This is a great brewery to stop by in the summer as it's right off the Luce Line bike trail and has tons of outdoor seating and fire pits. But it's still a great place to stop in November. read more

I've been meaning to come by Luce Line Brewing since it's close to us and had weekly trivia which is so fun! They have a kitchen in-house and will make pizza and other food unless there's an on-site food truck. I love that! Making sure the food trucks get the attention and business they deserve. It's pretty spacious inside and there's also a patio which makes for lots of seating. It's a little on the loud side, but it's a brewery so that's to be expected. Parking is very limited in the lot, but there's lots of street parking so be prepared to park down the road and walk down to the brewery. A fun spot we'll be back to! read more

Not all breweries are created equally! This one stands out and you can tell by home busy it is. Great beers! One of the first breweries that my wife found something that she's actually excited to come back and have again. (Triple berry cobbler) I tried the Cuyuna Hard Tail - IPA, and a couple other Hazy IPA's. All were good but liked the Hazy bottom the best. We found this place as we have Pub Passports that they stamp, which gives you a free beer. They have so many good options, that it was best to order a flight of 5 and see which was best. All the beer was good, but Mela Kalikimaka was hands down the best and Electric Owl was a close 2nd for me. We will come back here as it's very large inside and packed with people, meaning somethings working right. I bet it's amazing when they open up all the garage doors for airflow, but I won't complain as it was sweet in the winter also. read more

On a rainy Friday afternoon I went to Luce Line Brewing. This brewery is located right off the Luce Line trail - making it convenient for hikers / bikers / walkers of all varieties! The 2,000-barrel brewery has established themselves as a perfect community brewery in Plymouth, MN with a large inside space, a separate event-style space that is open for seating, and a spacious patio. On the day I visited they had Parlour Food Truck - so keep your eyes out for the food trucks they have rolling on through. I had two IPAs but the stand out was Aurora True. Aurora True IPA: An unfiltered West Coast IPA that was an interesting mix between a traditional West Coast and a New England. The IPA is fermented with Chico Ale Yeast and uses Nelson Sauvin and Michigan Chinook hops. It is hazy and starts off with a pineapple / tangerine flavor that gives way to pine / resin. Medium bitterness with a mild tropical fruit aroma. read more

We stopped in for our first visit yesterday, It was a beautiful day and there was quite a crowd for 4 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of staff, four friendly seemingly knowledgeable people working in the beer counter and at least two or three people clearing tables, etc. I enjoy a beer now and then, but I wouldn't consider myself an expert. We tried two different IPAs, and a couple lagers. All were tasty, cold and refreshing, I'm not much of a beer snob, but I found each one very enjoyable. my favorite was the California style IPA. Over 7% alcohol so I had a good buzz going after that one. We didn't order any food from the food trucks, but the pizza from the woodfired truck did look really good. many people were eating the pizza. I really enjoyed the fact that this was a family friendly atmosphere. there were tons of kids, and everybody seem to be having a good time. The highlight for me was the bank of really nice pinball machines. I would go back just for that, and a couple beers, of course. I look forward to many returns. read more

They seem to have fixed the service issues mentioned in prior reviews. I was there twice on both ends of a ride up and down the trail (don't you judge me, you're the one with the problem) and the second visit, at 4:30 on a Friday, was pretty darn hopping. They had multiple servers going, and I was readily able to walk up, grab my crowlers, and begone within 5min. There appeared to be reasonable social distancing in place. The menu is IPA-forward, as are most craft places right now, and as a hophead, I'm down with that. I would not say that anything I drank was amazingly differentiated from anything else in the Twin Cities, but it was all solid execution. You have the choice of bringing your own food, grabbing from the truck when one's there, or of course buying some bar pretzels. They'll also micro-oven you a frozen pizza, which is a nice upgrade. Most of all, this place is right off a huge bike trail that will let you do anything from a 5 to 50 mile ride to work up a thirst. There is little better than beer and snacks at the end of a good pedal, and that alone should keep them running for a good long while. read more

Luce Line is a regular spot for my husband and I to visit when we're in Plymouth, since it's really the only brewery in the area. I've always been pleased with the variety of beer on offer, and every drink I've had has been solid. I did accidentally order the soft pretzels instead of hard pretzels, and they were the worst $12 I've spent in recent memory. They've got lots of space and are very family friendly. Plenty of parking, they are located in the back of an industrial lot; they have their own parking as well as on street. Busy busy. Almost enough to make you travel back to 2019. Lots of cheerful faces. There are at least sit down halls. Beer ordering is at the cashier window. Food options to the right of the bar. During my visit, Milton's Vittles was serving up some tasty treats. We ordered the ribs and they complimented the beer well. The off street parking is ample but it was a busy evening and we all ended up parking on the road outside the taproom. Tried a few beers - Foggy Bottom Hazy IPA, Neon Moon Imperial Double Pastry, New England Joy Ride, Beer of the Rat Blonde Ale, and the Strawberry Mango Puff Sour. The stand out was the sour but it wasn't really sour. Just a sweet pastry beer with gobs of more sweetness. Recommend a visit for anyone out in the Plymouth region. read more

How desperately I wanted to love this place. However, the acoustics are so dreadful I couldn't even talk to my companion that was sitting right next to me at 4:50 in the afternoon. The beer was delicious, the look of the place is awesome, again the acoustics are killer bad. read more

I live with a beer fanatic. The minute he heard a new brewery had opened up we had to stop by. Great space and minimal decor that complimented it well. Also have several firepits outside on the patio if you would prefer sitting outside and since I can't brave the cold excited to check out in the spring/ When you enter everyone has to walk up to bar to order you inform your name and number for Contact tracing. Beer was solid-IPA had great crisp hop. I docked it down a star because the place was packed. Several tables around us had 8 people to a table. It was a little shocking because it was the most amount of people I have been around since COVID has started. I just found it out that they requested number for contact tracing but did not enforce capacity. If worried about COVID I would hold off till later in the spring when the hype wears down and everyone isn't running to a new place and you have been vaccinated.
