Since moving to South St. Paul last fall I've only heard great things about Inver Grove Brewing so I was excited to finally get over there to try it! We went for dinner and I was very impressed with their wide selection. I got the dill pickle chicken sandwich and thought the chicken sandwich was really crispy and I really liked their aioli with my fries. I didn't really taste the dill of the pickle spread, however, if you want the dill you can get the dill pickle pizza which one of our friends got and really enjoyed. Husband got the Bacon Patty Melt and he enjoyed it and our other friend got one of the dishes from the tacos, bowls and naan section, which we discovered you can get any of those made as those three options, which I thought was such a cool way to make the menu fit everyone. I actually didn't have any beer but I did have a couple cocktails off the spring cocktail menu and loved both. My friends really enjoyed the Lime Bubble beer and were excited they could buy some to bring back to Wisconsin. The server was the right amount of attentive, we ate inside and I like the mix of restaurant and brewery vibe they had going on. Will definitely go back. read more

We headed out to IGB after a recommendation from a client of mine! Plenty of parking in their dedicated lot! Sizeable patio available for those willing to battle the heat! The interior is giving industrial sports bar vibes, with TVs playing your favorite game, and wood/metal accents throughout the space. Bar, hightop, and table seating indoors. We didn't have a wait at 6pm on a Saturday evening. Staff was busy, but checked in often and were friendly throughout the stay! Lots of beer options, as well as a full bar! I had the Coffee Ale, which was lovely! Subtle notes of coffee in a smooth sipper. Enjoyed the Dill Pickle Chicken Sandwich for dinner, which was a great portion, savory, and delicious. Overall, a really solid meal! Our only constructive criticism was that the Onion Soup that my partner ordered came out luke warm, which was less than desirable. We always love IGH brewing. Does it help it's where we met? Maybe. We tried the boneless wings for the first time. The chicken had a nice crisp coating but inside the chicken was dry and difficult to cut through. We liked both sauces- house and sticky asian. The coconut chicken salad is BOMB. Next time I come I'll get this salad with the bone-IN wings. The chicken was flavorful and all the salad toppings went together well. Really liked the sweet chili dressing. I've wanted to come here for ages to have a meal, and I'm so glad I finally did. The day was bright and lovely, and we were fortunate enough to get a table on the patio. Service was fantastic the entire time. My husband had a beer, while I had a Loon Juice pear cider. Our appetizer pretzel came out very fast! The cheese dip was the perfect consistency--thick but drippy, not runny or watery. The mustards were good, too. My husband had the French dip sandwich with fries and said it was excellent. We had a lunch after strawberry picking at nicer grove brewing. The staffs are so friendly and they offer the coolest origami kids menu. All the dishes arrived so quickly. We ordered a Hawaiian chicken bowl, as well as Al pastor taco. Took a star off as we thought the food could be more flavorful. It could be just us, liking more flavors. I was invited out with friends to Inver Grove Brewing and just thought it would be another brewery with a plain bar menu but was pleasantly surprised. We went Friday after work so we did have about a 45 min wait to be seated but ordered a drink at the bar while we waited. Restaurant was noisy but we could still have conversation. One of our friends brought a kid and it is a super family friendly spot. We ordered a French dip and fries, Dill chicken sandwich, Fettuccine Alfredo and Brussel sprouts. We shared everything and it was so good and full of flavor there was so many other things we wanted to eat on the menu we will definitely be back. Not pictured is the Oreo mint cheesecake we grabbed to go! We went for the Friday Walleye Special and it did not disappoint. Large portion that was perfectly cooked. The seafood chowder was equally good. Service was very friendly and fast, we told them we were sharing and they split the plate before bringing out without an added charge which was an added bonus. We tried a couple different beers and liked those as well. They had a nice outdoor space and ample seating inside. It was busy but we turns wait long. Great place to have close to Inver Grove Heights. This is the sister site of Lakeville Brewery and follows many of the same standards you will find at that location. Food and drink: So drinks is a given. They are a brewery and so the beer options are pretty extensive and good. I actually had a couple different brews that I normally wouldn't gravitate towards but when it is craft brews, you can't go wrong when trying something new. The cocktail menu has some great choices if you are not a beer drinker but I just stuck to their beer menu this time around. Food menu follows an amplified bar fare menu with some quality supper club options added. I was actually impressed by the size of the menu. Our group ordered a mixture of apps to share and all of them paired great with our beers. Lots of happy looking people, no downers so they must have all been content! Service: Service was good and pretty speedy for how busy this place was. Price: Prices were comparative to other bars and breweries in the area. When putting that into context, you are getting a better deal here since there is actually presentation and homemade ingredients going into these drinks and food instead of mass marketed brands and ingredients. The tacos were good but not nearly as delicious as the ones I had had at Lakewille. I got a crowler of Heatwave Sour, which again was good. It's been some time since I've had the tacos at either location so I'd be willing to give them another try here. Had the new "It Takes Two to Mango" sour and the new "Hot Hoagie" pizza. The sour was very good. The pizza was interesting, but I wouldn't get it again. Very much like a taco pizza, but could have used more garlic aioli sauce. Service was reasonably quick. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Restaurant was busy. The restaurant charges a 2.6% fee to pay with credit card, but didn't reduce the price of their food by 2.6% which had the credit card processing fee baked in. This is an irritating way to raise prices. In the most recent visit, they brought the Toast Tab payment terminal to the table to pay instead of taking the card back to the register - this presents the annoying 25% 20% 18% tip options when you pay, instead of letting you just choose how much to tip. read more

Came here for lunch on a Sunday before noon. This is the second time I've been here and I like that they change up their menu often. My friends love their bloodies and I tried there. I typically do not like them, but this one was tasty. Actually, this was the first bloody I've ever ordered. You can pair a regular sized beer for an additional $2. Mel was our server and she was a doll. We sat on the patio and it quickly filled up - about 11 or 12 tables. She was the only server outside and we felt bad for her. She tried her best, but it was too many tables for one person. My drinks didn't come to the table until well after my meal was delivered. We found out that management cut servers before the lunch hour. I'm not sure how that makes any sense!? Poor decision on their part and many tables were waiting like ours. One server can only do so much. Bottom line: nachos, parm bites, bloody and Octoberfest were all excellent. Sat at the bar - which is large and seats are comfy A few screens were on so able to catch a bit of a twins game while sipping a really cold NA called Nialas my new fav / dark N A House salad was a great size a bit pricey but not outrageous and fresh so thumbs up for that! Nice place with a great vibe and a menu that should suit the palettes of most patrons. We had a party of seven on Mother's Day, and they readily accommodated our party, which was a huge plus. We had a few of their beers, and overall they are well-made but nothing to write home about. Menu-wise, it is mostly bar/pub fare consisting of burgers, pizzas, some pasta dishes, and sandwiches. I did notice that they had oysters Rockafellar and in the half shell. I might give these a shot next time. Some of the highlights that are worthy of consideration are the wings. I ordered the plain dry-rubbed wings, which were exactly what I wanted. I also ordered the cauliflower for the group to share; this was undoubtedly a group favorite. Several others ordered the pork tenderloin. It is a nice gimmick and presentation to pound out a tenderloin thin enough that it extends out from the bun three or four inches, but it just makes it more work to eat. It was delicious. However, they need to serve it with mustard and not that house sauce they provide with just about everything. I had their hamburger, and kudos for serving it as requested: Med-rare. Lots of fresh veggies with a nice tangy salad dressing. I also really liked the pretzel breadstick. It was starting to get busy at 4:30 and by dinner time, it was hopping. I come here sometimes because it's really close to my in-law's. I'd say it's okay especially food wise. I've never had a bad meal here but it has never been outstanding either... and I didn't realize there was a regular knee high and orange cream knee high. Stopped in for beers and bloodies after a walk event with some friends. We sat on the patio as its likely one of the last times for the year. Mel was our server. She is friendly and visits with her customers. I did feel for her, she was left with serving the busy patio area without much assistance. This is our favorite local brewery in IGH. Not only are there beers really good, but the food in-house is SPECTACULAR. I really enjoy their Spicy Sausage and Pepperoni with honey pizza as well as their French dips. I've had many things from the menu and have always been pleased. You can't go wrong with anything. The only time we had troubles was on a Saturday night. We tried to make reservations and they only accept walk-ins. It was super packed, but happy to see they are thriving. Good for the area. I've now went to IG Brewing dozens of times. They always have a good selection of microbrews and their own beers are generally good. I've also eaten there many times. Having had more items on the menu, I do find that much of their items are ok but not particularly memorable for my preferences. For the area, this is a great spot though, and it holds it's own against many of the places in nearby cities (excluding St Paul/ Mpls). Decent service and a loud but fairly comfortable environment that's a bit more restaurant than brewery. As an aside, all things being equal, I prefer Lakeville Brewery (owned by the same group that started IG Brewing) for food and their beers. read more

As a craft beer lover and avid taproom traveler, I had to make it out to Inver Grove Brewing as soon as they opened and they keep me coming back. IGB being a brew pub offers not only house crafted beer but also delish pub grub and fun craft cocktails. The space is open and well lit with tall ceiling and lots of windows. Combined with a fun and energetic staff you get yourself a welcoming beer hall hard to pry away from after a beer and an app. The beer menu is sizable boasting a variety of styles such as Stouts, IPAs, and Ambers. A few of my recommendations being the Fun Juice NEIPA, knee High Cream Ale and, Pa Pas Pilsner. When I'm tipping a few cold ones back there is nothing better then a menu full of filling pub style creations. One of my favorite items is the Rueben Nachos with Fried Danish bread, corned beef, kraut, coleslaw and cheese. The corned beef is soft and tender and melts in your mouth; a perfect compliment to the crunch from the fried bread and tangy kraut. The coleslaw gives a nice creamy finish. IBG comes highly recommended and in my opinion is one of the top brew pubs in the TC area. Also visit Lakeville Brewing! read more
