Located on the Naperville / Oswego border where 95th St dead-ends into Wolf's Crossing Rd, this public park incorporates 33 acres of carefully planned and meticulously maintained space. It's the perfect answer when asked by your kid for the umpteenth time "wHaT aRe wE dOoOiNg ToDaY?" This complex features a playground, splash pad, covered pavilion, basketball courts, sand volleyball, tennis/pickleball courts, a lookout point with sledding hill and a ninja warrior obstacle course. It connects to various biking trails and there's onsite public bathrooms with plenty of parking. The ~100ft zipline is a standout feature and draws a considerable line on busier days. Watching kids nearly get yeeted off into the bushes makes for great theater! I assume the weight limit is 200lbs so next time I'ma have a go at it (get outta my way, kids!) The only thing missing is concessions, as the lone pop machine near the restrooms didn't appear to work. I think there's enough people here on a routine basis to warrant building a snack shop! I'd love to serve nachos and root beer to hungry peeps, as long as I got paid $25/hr. * TL;DR * This idyllic, multi-faceted rec area is fully deserving of its perfect rating. Wolf's Crossing Community Park was built with young children and special accommodations in mind, easily accessible to all ages & abilities. The fam spent several hours here (granted, most of them were confined to the splash pad) and we barely scratched the surface. I can't wait to beast through that legit obstacle course some day when I remember to wear close-toed shoes. Ain't no way my clumsy ass is making it through there in flip flops. WCCP has tons of what we in the gaming realm refer to as "replayability", essentially, is there enough stuff to do on repeat visits? You bet there is! Parking can be a hit or miss and there's plenty of construction happening. Great area dedicated to our veterans on the north side of the park. I say the con of the park is the port o potty. You need a flash light to get in there and it's not clean at all so be forewarned.

Has swings (sorry I didn't notice if they had handicap accessible swings), sand pit, water mister, climbing areas and slides galore. You are come right up the Fox River and there is a rocky area where kayaks were constantly coming and going. I brought the kids over there to find seashells and skip rocks. There were a lot of people walking their dogs - some dogs were going for a swim! There are a lot of mature trees so there is plenty of shade. I will try to come to this park more often!

Not until we saw the campsites. We found picnic tables rotted and broken. No pads to park except where the yearly rentals were. Closed restrooms unprepared sites, long grass and weeds, limbs and terrible ruts in the road. No assigned sites, just told to pick one, except told where we couldn't camp (evidently saved for long term rentals. The rest rooms that were open were filthy. Will not be visiting again. Two out of stars is being generous. Maybe use the extra 5 bucks on some cleaning agents and lawnmower gas.

It's basically just a lake with a trail around it. There's a little bit of parkland. All of this is surrounded by houses. It seems most people here are from around it. A few things for families. There's a small playground along with pretend dinosaur bones to climb on. There's also modern playground equipment like slides and swings. Also there's a shelter by the lake. This is good for picnics. Good park for exercising or playing around. It's located on Kautz Road. This is good for children, adults working out, or whoever.

The only bummer is that the splash pad is on concrete and doesn't have the rubber.

Check the website for a trail map, but most of them intersect (even though it is not always clearly marked). Sitting by the river and looking at the blind on the island we saw a bald eagle fly right overhead. So cool! I didn't believe my friend when he said they were here around the fox. There are 2 lots at each end of the park, the Northeastern one featuring a boat launch that is kayak & raft capable (though I'm not sure where you'd get off. Maybe Silver Springs state park? The way the high trail is set up it definitely looks like it could be a mosquito breeding ground next to it during the appropriate months. Bring DEET if you think it'll be an issue, but in early October it was mostly a non-issue. There is a tick warning as well, but we didn't find any. The only thing you need to watch out for is mountain bikers (and I guess the occasional horse / horse apple). They will be coming, and some of them can move pretty fast. You'll hear them on a hike, but be courteous and step to the side of the trail and everyone can enjoy this location.

After heavy rains, the trails can get a bit flooded, otherwise it's a fun place to walk around and enjoy nature. It's important to note that the trails are each around 1 to 1.5 miles, with some that run around Lake Patterson, so plan accordingly and bring enough sunscreen and water. This lake is also one that has motorboat access with a ramp, which is not common for the area. When the trees are filled with leaves, it's quite pleasant to sit around and enjoy nature with some shade as well.

Not to mention most of the animals were kept in VERY small enclosures (a 3' by 5' pen for two full grown sheep, and two young piglets - under 8" tall- in a rabbit pen) and some were clearly underfed; I could see the ribs on both of the piglets and the ribs and hip bones on both of the horses. One of the sheep had green mucous coming out of its nose. No sanitizer anywhere to be seen. No one greeted us, although when we did find out who worked there they were very nice. I wouldn't recommend this place and we won't be going back.

There's also a playground and dog area so it's not just sports going on around here. Even though there's not a whole lot to see, it's pretty useful for athletics. It has football and soccer fields among a few. There's also a basketball court, hockey rink, and sand volleyball. It has a few other features. There's a playground good for the younger children, and there's a pretty fun looking skatepark so there's something to do other than sitting in bleachers watching baseball or some other sport. Good place to bring dogs. It has an area with a fountain. The bathrooms are clean and not trashy.

The turf soccer field has lights for night games and shaded bleachers. I like to bring the girls I babysit here because there are always other families there for them to play with on the playground. My friends and I enjoy playing sand volleyball here and walking our dogs around the pond. They have a hockey rink, skate park, basketball court, and plenty of open fields to play on.
