If you are going for a couple days its…read moreok if you stay away from the other campers because a lot of them I have noticed harass the "Weekenders". The bathrooms are filthy and you have to pay for the showers and the water there smells like extremely strong sulfur. The owner is lazy and doesn't care about customer service in the least. Me being a seasonal camper he didn't even give us common courtesy to let us know that something was wrong with the power and because of that we lost a lot of money in groceries. Oh and if you need or want a refund...forget it you would have a better chance telling a grizzly to not be a bear. We were harassed by other campers because we kinda kept to ourselves. This went on for two years. Every year that we have been there the rates have gone up significantly, fifty to sometimes a hundred dollars, but NOTHING is updated or improved. An example was the issues with the power. Fearing that the problems with the power would short out the appliances in our camper I went to unplug the camper from the electric pole, and was really badly shocked to the point that my hand was numb for two weeks.....The reason? the electric poles were not grounded. They are NOT family oriented, nor are they friendly to outsiders. I am NOT saying this at all because I am angry, I am saying this because I wish someone had told my husband and I this before we went seasonal there. There is so much I could say about this place, but I will say this....the ONLY good thing about this campground is Cross Lake, It is a beautiful lake and this campground would have a lot of potential if only it was run by someone who cared.

The location is right on the water, with beautiful grounds, a swimming pool (which wasn't open yet), and an amazing community! Sandy and Eric take great pride in this hidden gem. They were very gracious in allowing our 40' straight truck, even sent us a video on the camp site/access to it before we arrived. We will be back for sure! Haven't had heat or television since we arrived here.The propane heater is broken and the…read moremaintenance man Paul who has been super helpful said he wasn't qualified to work on the heater said the manager should call a repairman. Also, when talking with the manager Wen about the television situation, he said it was an issue with the Dish Network receiver. This was at 8 in the morning. When I went to the office to ask about the tv situation at 4:00 pm, Wen hadn't called anyone about the situation. I would recommend this campground for the children friendly activities, but an absolute zero for any issues about amenities in your camp trailer. The main man Paul has gone above and beyond to help, but the manager is only concerned about your money !

On one side of us, we had neighbors smoking weed right next to our windows. Our cabin REAKED of marijuana. This continued after we politely asked them if they could step away from our cabin when doing such as I am allergic and I also have a 9 month old. On Friday our other neighbors were extremely disrespectful and blasting music, yelling and running around being by crazy. The next day we heard a ton of fighting and yelling from the family. That night my baby was awoke by screaming and fighting. Leading to domestic violence and the police showed up. We hurried and packed up and left when we heard "he has a knife!!!" I have a 9 month old baby and it was complete chaos and I was taking no chances.m. I called to get some sort of refund or credit and was denied all. We had an absolutely awful experience. I love that it is close to home and my baby loved the river. I was really hoping that we would be able to get a do over. Being denied after explaining the situation and how distraught my baby was, made me so disappointed. I'm sad we are going to be cancelling our family trip and looking elsewhere. Extremely upset and sad that no compensation or anything was given after this terrible frightening experience.

The prices are reasonable and the service (especially firewood delivery) is excellent. The other campers tend to be quite friendly and it's common to get an invite to join a neighbor near their fire for a drink and a chat. During the day it can be a bit noisy (kids, dogs, music etc) but we've never had any issue with noise at night over the 4 times we have stayed here.

The beach area is enclosed into a square, guarded by at least three lifeguards. There are plenty of parking spaces, a food concession and restrooms in the main building and plenty of restrooms and showers behind this front building. The weather cooperated and it was perfect. ​

As we visited on a holiday it was very busy, but we arrived early and had no trouble finding parking. The park had staff on hand to direct traffic and assist in finding a spot.
