Next stop of the day, we decided to head out and check out San Francisco's famous Chinatown! The weather was beautiful, and the crowds were out. It wasn't long before we realized we would not be finding street parking. We finally found a parking garage. I understand the real-estate is a premium in San Fran, but I was very glad I wasn't driving anything bigger than a RAV4, because you had to make some of the sharpest turns and corners I've ever seen in a parking garage. It was incredibly tight quarters, I'm not sure if it was designed for just Mini Coopers and Smart cars, but it was definitely a stressful nailbiter getting in and out of. The parking spots themselves were very average, and the pricing was reasonable, for being right in such a popular tourist area. When we got out of the car, I noticed some writing behind the car, and as I looked around, there was some on every spot....Every parking spot got a fortune, like a fortune cookie, which definitely cracked me up. Scam. Pulled in, drive to the top and back down - no parking. They charged $5. And the extremely rude person who answered the call button basically yelled at us and said we had to pay because we took too long to look for a spot. Should have called the police, but we just paid it and now have to dispute it. read more

Easy in and easy out. Make sure to take your ticket with you when you leave the car. You have to pay for the parking when returning back before leaving by the structure. You have 15 MINUTES to leave the structure after paying or you will be charged a fee. read more

I never write super short reviews but there's a first time for everything. Park here, it may be one of the safest garages here in SF. $30 for 12 hours or $36 for 24 hours. Besides that, I think it's $4 per hour. Super close to Chinatown and it's easy to get picked up by ride share if you choose to park here and say, you need to go to Pier 39 or Alcatraz cruises. From this garage to Pier 33 (where Alcatraz Cruise sails), it was about a 20-25 minute Uber ride. Thank you Yelp for helping me find this garage. DO NOT PARK HERE. Someone kept touching my car and taking the tire caps (air pressure caps) off my car on multiple occasions. Attendant doesnt care, police wont do anything about it. You would think this garage would be safe since there are police cars in this garage and right across is a police station. BUT IT ISNT SAFE. Make sure you have a dash cam! You have been warned. I wish I had not of make this review and continue parking here. This garage is a hangout spot for the wrong crowd when it hits midnight, especially on the roof of the garage. read more

I heard a lot of people saying this garage was safe due to the police station next door. As I was pulling into the garage, a squad car was leaving the garage. This was reassuring to see and brought me peace of mind. I parked here for 8 hours on a weekday and there was no issues with my car. BEWARE of the tight turns. That was my only issue. We parked on the 3rd floor and boy oh boy was it an experience to travel up and down those turns. Crooked Lombard Street was a way smoother drive compared to the turns here. As you make the tight turns, you can't help but see all the scratch marks on the walls from all the other cars that were not as successful making these turns. Overall, this garage brings you safety, good value in San Francisco, and conveniently located in Chinatown with easy access to public transportation and the historic cable cars. read more

first of all came here on an uncrowded FRIDAY June 6 and there were plenty of spaces pulled in around 1145 am stayed for less than an hour we used the garage to park while we visited BUENA VISTA for our IRISH coffee and hot chocolate (BOTH are simply the best you can get anywhere- see my review for BUENA VISTA) when we exited the garage I was amazed to see the charge was only 5.00 in SAN FRANCISCO in that area. read more

If you have a large car, avoid. Very tight turns, tight spots. I consider myself an above average driver but even I was feeling the squeeze. Also if you have an electric car, and are looking to charge, be aware it seems like they don't enforce electric vehicle only in EV spots sometimes. Chargepoint showed 3 available chargers, I show up and there were none. 1 spot had been coned off. 2 were being used by clearly non-EV's and the final one was legit in use. Super friendly staff, but also, not much they can do about the situation. read more

This business scammed me and my friends. They do not have their business hours poster anywhere. We showed up to a note on our car telling us to call them. When I called, he said he would only come if I paid them $40 cash or by card, when their sign clearly says $30 flat rate with QR code for payment and no business hours posted. He hung up on me when I told him that I would pay the agreed price of $30 and he said come tomorrow then. I had to call him back again and said fine but would not let me pay through the app bc he was going to charge my card a separate price. When I tried to take a picture of the sign and him for the disdishonest practice he snatched my phone out of my hands and threatened to leave. He made me delete the photo and empty my trash folder but I took another photo when he was not looking. I told him that I would call the police bc he could not legally withhold my property, but ultimately I paid the $40 so I could get us back to our destination. If I could give them zero stars I would. I could not find a way to reserve and prepay but when we arrived New Years Day morning at 10am the lot was pretty empty so I was able to park on the 2nd floor. I liked the little quotes under each parking spot and compared to other reviews, this place seemed definitely safer. Based on prior advice though, we still hid everything and anything from sight because San Francisco isn't the kind of place where you can just leave your stuff unattended. If you want to park at the edge of Chinatown and not worry about time, this is the garage for you: $4 per hour in the evening, very reasonable 24 hour rate, plus you will feel safe leaving your car in a garage literally surrounded by the police cars (the police department is across the road). My car stayed safe and as everyone already knows: NEVER LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR VEHICLE. People will break in and steal it. That being said, this parking garage is right next to the police department, but still, don't leave anything in plain site. Put it in the trunk, or take it with you. I'm normally a street parker. But since it's nearly impossible to park on the streets of North Beach, the NBPG is where I usually end up. It may be a bit cramped, but maneuverable...even with a full-sized truck. I prefer this garage over others because of its central location (across from police station), an easy payment process, it's open 24 hours, has great views from the top, and ultimately for the fortunes provided per parking stall. Other than stating the obvious like "being a great lover," I've been reminded to "share my happiness with others" and that ''a party is going on inside me." I honestly feel really ridiculous writing a review for a parking garage but if it weren't for the lovely people of Yelp, I wouldn't have known where to park when I went to Club Fugazi to watch Beach Blanket Babylon. There's not too much to say that hasn't already been said. $3/hr is practically a steal in SF, let alone in North Beach where there is hardly any parking, unless you count street parking...which is still a hassle over there anyway. Cheap, well lit, accessible, and across from a police station make this parking lot an ideal spot to leave your car anytime you're craving a North Beach adventure (SO glad I know where to park now when I want Golden Boy Pizza, hehe). Thought the little sayings lining each parking spot was an awesome touch as well, hopefully I'll get to read them all the next time I'm back! read more

This is a great parking garage. It's very reasonably priced, across the street from a police station, a half mile from Fisherman's wharf, and it's on the border of North Beach and Chinatown. If you haven't been to North Beach, it's an awesome place to eat! Look up molinari deli, victoria's pastries, XOX truffles, and little city meats! Another plus is that this parking garage actually has some character. Parking Garage? Character? Yes. Inscribed into every parking space is an inspirational saying - not unlike what you'd find in a fortune cookie. Some are hilarious. I've posted a few pictures. My personal favorite was the parking space that we were destined to occupy. It read "you do not conform to traditions". Check the picture and it'll be clearer to you. Another example of "character" was a notice in the elevator that read "YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES TO EXIT GARAGE AFTER PAYING TICKET". We found it hilarious being that we were on the 4th floor. Located near where Stockton meets Vallejo in the North Beach area, you'll find two multi-leveled parking garages on either side of the street. North Beach is the one opposite the Police Station I believe, and you will notice that each parking stall has a unique quote/wise saying/fortune-cookie-like message. It'll be easier if they was numbered like many other lots, but this just adds to the coolness of the place. Just remember the floor where your parked! Like many SF parking lots, the spaces are on the small side and the turns up and down the lot can be sharp. Just drive carefully and slowly! I like this lot whenever we need to hang out in Little Italy or enjoy restaurants at the edge of Chinatown (China Live, Eight Tables). The evening rate was reasonable at about $12.00 / 3 hours. read more

Driving in Chinatown is stressful and finding parking before 6pm is even more stressful if you don't know how long you'll be staying and how much money you need to put in the meter. I'm glad this parking garage exists. I did the $11 early bird parking before 10am. I arrived right before 10am and found a space on the rooftop. The ramp going up is super narrow so it was scary for me and the ramp going down was even scarier. It's a pretty good price for early bird parking if you want to stay in Chinatown from 10 am to 7 pm. After 6 pm, meters are free so I wouldn't recommend this garage after 6. A pro tip I learned if you're going to dinner in Chinatown is to find a metered spot at around 5:30 and sit in your car until 6. It makes parking a much less stressful experience because after 6, it's hard to find any parking spots in the area. read more

A parking garage with personality. It's located in a very popular and densely populated area close to both Chinatown and North Beach little Italy restaurants. It's always such a challenge to find parking in the area , so having a conveniently located garage is so helpful in saving you stress and time . I think the rates were what you would expect for a parking garage in San Francisco. We entered the garage around 3 pm on a Saturday, and we found parking on the second floor. I loved reading all the fortunes printed in each parking spots and color codes are helpful in identifying your parking level. It's a very clean and accessible parking garage. The one big negative is the extremely TIGHT turns going up the garage and the parking spots themselves are pretty tight as well. We were driving a mid size sedan, and it was a bit nerving wracking to navigate those tight turns . Not sure a large suv would be able to make up without hitting the cement wall, so BEWare! Other then that , this garage will save you a ton time when looking for a parkiNg spot in prime times.. read more
