Kate greeted me outside with a smile when I was trying to find the location. She was very kind and welcoming. There seemed to be a slight language barrier, so I explained that I was pregnant and wanted to lie on my side so my back could be massaged. When I wasn't sure she understood, I pointed to my belly, and she realized I was pregnant. I tried explaining again with gestures that my back was my main area of concern. She then asked if I had booked a 60-minute massage. I told her I had booked 90 minutes. She seemed surprised and repeated, "90 minutes?" I told her that if 90 minutes wasn't appropriate because I was pregnant, I was okay with changing it to 60 minutes. About 20 minutes into the massage, while she was working on my left arm, I noticed she was using only one hand and seemed distracted. Her phone kept buzzing near my head, and it felt like she may have been texting. A little later, she apologized and stepped out of the room to greet what sounded like a walk-in customer. I heard her say, "Can you wait 10 more minutes?" When she came back, she asked me, "Is 60 minutes okay?" I was confused because we had already discussed that earlier. It made me feel like my appointment was being shortened to accommodate the walk-in customer. I looked at the clock and noticed there were only about 15 minutes left, and my back hadn't been worked on at all. I assumed she was saving it for the end, but unfortunately, she never massaged my back. The one area I specifically requested--both in my online booking notes and in person--was completely skipped. Kate herself was very friendly and smiled every time she spoke with me. I also didn't want to put her in an uncomfortable position by asking again about my back after the walk-in customer had arrived. My biggest suggestion would be to take the time to read the notes customers leave when booking online and tailor the massage accordingly. Also, I don't think it's appropriate to have a phone buzzing or being used during a massage, especially so close to a client's head. Kate was genuinely kind, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. I hope they improve because treating every new customer with the same care as a regular customer is what brings people back.

We found Bill through Yelp and were excited to find someone conveniently located here in North Bend. The business is in a yoga studio that he owns with his wife and it has a nice tranquil atmosphere. The massage room is private and comfortable with low lighting and music. Bill will sit here with you first and review your condition prior to your first massage and he also likes to review a bit at the end as well to discuss how specific stretching and ergonomics may improve how you feel, very helpful! While his massage isn't what we're used to from our conventional masseuse experience, we've found his method to be highly effective! We each see him twice a month and we definitely notice if we skip a session. He doesn't follow the normal massage pattern of doing one side, have you flip, do the other. Bill really gets involved into what is hurting his clients and utilizes massage technique along with active stretching to improve movement and relieve pain. Often he won't have me turn on my stomach at all but has me lay on my side while moving my arms and shoulders to massage and stretch simultaneously. It feels like you're getting the best of both worlds, massage to relieve pain and a physical therapy session to pinpoint limitations! We definitely recommend Bill for massage and if you're looking for yoga, his wife does one on one sessions for people with injuries or needing help with flexibility and there are also a few group classes as well. I heard the owner was fantastic, but I was never able to get an appt with her. It's more clinical than a day spa feel, but the place is clean, and comfortable. I decided to purchase a package deal they offered. Everything was fine pre-pandemic. But 2020 came around and we had to wear mask while getting massaged. I normally would be fine with except, I can't wear mask due to my asthma. So the last time I came in for a session, I was able to remove my mask faced down, then face up I had to wear my mask. All of a sudden I started wheezing. I tried to enjoy my massage as much as I could. I ended up sick with asthma the rest of the week, I messaged the business to let them know, and the owner was gracious enough to not only refund my last treatment, but the rest of the sessions I prepaid. I paid via Zelle and showed confirmation that the payment was processing, including the notification and account details. I also offered to follow up shortly to confirm once it cleared, as I needed to leave to pick up my daughter. Instead, I was repeatedly told to stay and wait. I was then followed outside, and the staff member actually got into my car to prevent me from leaving. I had to physically ask her to get out of my car. Shortly after, the payment went through as expected. I understand wanting to confirm payment, but this situation was handled in a way that felt extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable -- especially toward a long-time customer who was clearly trying to pay. It's disappointing because the massage itself was good, but the overall experience left me shaken and unsure I would feel comfortable returning.
