I grew up near this amazing park and it's always been a special place for me. I played on the…read moreswingsets here as a kid, worked at the Summer Camp here as a teen, and continue to enjoy walking here as an adult. This park has everything--brand new playground equipment for 2022, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, body-weight fitness equipment like parallel bars and a horizontal ladder, paved walking trails through the woods, a pond, and more! The free public bathrooms are inside a building so there's hot and cold running water, flush toilets, light and heat. There are also several water fountains with drinking water. In summer the local theater group offers Plays in the Park at the amphitheater. Most of the park is flat, accessible to wheelchairs and strollers, and easy to walk around. There are benches near the pond and a pavilion area with picnic tables. Lots of people bring their dogs here.

I've walked throughout the park and along the D&R Trail. Fitness stations are located along portions of the trail, and it's easy to create a scenic loop that passes the photogenic Stone Cottage and the spectacular Rose Garden area. The Splash Park is incredibly popular with families. On hot, sunny days, parking near the playground can be hard to find. So far, I've enjoyed the duck boats, miniature golf, fitness trail, nature trails, Rose Garden, and Splash Park. Next on my list are the bocce courts, which appear to be in excellent condition. The first winter work out was on January 6. Unfortunately I had a tragedy in my family. My wife suddenly passed away. I informed Full Count on January 12 that my son could no longer play because his mother died and it was a physical and financial burden on my family for him to play. Full Count did stop charging my credit card, but refused to reimburse any of the $1100 dollars I was already charged. They only had two winter workouts and they insisted on keeping all the money. I offered to lose the $500 deposit if they gave me back the other $600. They refused to reimburse me at all. beware of this organization, you find out how people really are when something like this happens.

With ticket prices being super reasonable it makes for a great family outing with young kids who have a short attention span. Food and drinks options are plentiful. And we absolutely love the games where the kids get to run the bases. The stadium isn't too big so it's easy to get around and you can explore. Parking is also convenient and is only $5.

Just while searching for beaches in a 30 minute driving radius, we ran into this gem of a park that's so well maintained. They have ample free parking and the walk to the bay is so quick. The bay might not be the best to walk on as sand is relatively less with more gravels and getting down to it from the stairs is little difficult even for well grown adults. This could definitely be wheelchair accessible in a certain way. They also have few picnic enclosures and a memorial to one of their town's fallen soldiers. The walking pavement is neatly laid out for a calm, peaceful and relaxing walk. We went on overcast conditions and had to return to the car just before the rain caught up. Will definitely return here for summers to watch the sunset in this beautiful bay/park.

I was truly glad to see that a city was willing to put money into a quality softball facility and not just a baseball facility that they could alter to use for softball. The field is a bit farther away than I'd like for a small softball tournament, but it's not TOO bad...only a little more than an hour from us. I only wish the girls would have walked away with a little hardware from this tournament, but it just wasn't meant to be. Now there is a baseball field, basketball court and a proper playground as well as open field space where soccer and football is played. Thomae Park hosts many neighborhood events and township recreation ball games. An unpaved parking area can accommodate more than a dozen cars and makes a great starting spot for a walk along the Green Brook which by the way holds some nice fish.
