My daughter married the love of her life Friday the 29 and now she begins a new life. Getting hitched only took about a half hour so if you have all your papers in properly everything goes easy. The court house is beautiful and empty so if you need great pictures for your wedding this is the place.

City Hall is a beautiful building and there is free parking at the parking garage just behind City Hall very convenient specially for town events. The event is highly organized and brings tons of local vendors and food trucks. I noticed about 11 food trucks including beer trucks. I tried some churros with nutella from one of the food truck. Beer mug $18 really cold beer! Vibrant celebration of Bavarian culture. Live music by the Brussels sprouts Polka Band. There was also a weiner dog dash race really cute and getting all the attention from the crowd. Nice to see the community spirit amongst our residents. Looking forward to next year's Oktoberfest.

Throughout my neighborhood, crews have torn up lawns and landscaping with little regard for homeowners' property. What is most frustrating is the placement of the utility boxes. In many cases, they are installed right in the middle of people's front yards, creating an eyesore and making lawn maintenance more difficult. Many of these boxes could have easily been placed along property lines, near hedges, or in other less intrusive locations with just a little planning. Residents take pride in maintaining their homes and landscaping, yet ITG Communications and Coral Springs seem to have little consideration for the long-term impact their work has on the appearance and usability of our properties. Installing infrastructure shouldn't come at the expense of unnecessarily damaging neighborhoods. Comcast and the City of Coral Springs should hold their contractors to a much higher standard. Fiber upgrades are important, but they should be completed with professionalism, respect for homeowners, and thoughtful planning--not by leaving behind damaged yards and poorly placed utility boxes. I have tried reaching out to Coral Springs and I have also called the two numbers that were posted on the electronic billboard in my neighborhood. The mailbox is full on one of the numbers and the other number has not called me back. Coral Springs has not responded to ANY of my concerns or requests.

The new community became famous for its upside down house created by Johnson and F. E. Dykstra. The home was completely furnished, and the carport had an upside-down car. There were many news features about the house and a feature in Life magazine. Thousands were drawn to the attraction and many stayed to make their home in the new city. By 1967 the city had a population of 4,300 and was 1.75 square miles. The city eventually expanded westward out to the edge of the Everglades for a total of 18 square miles and changed its name to Sunrise in 1971. Today the city has a population of approximately 100,000 people. The Amerant Bank Arena previously known as the National Car Rental Center, Office Depot Center, BankAtlantic Center, BB&T Center, and FLA Live Arena opened in 1998. The arena is the home of the Florida Panthers and hosts concerts and other major events. In 1990 the first phase of Sawgrass Mills Mall opened. The mall now offers a large and diverse selection of stores and restaurants. In 2007 Ikea opened which enabled everyone to get their Swedish meatball fix and be able to purchase cheap put together furniture. While most people visit Sunrise for the arena and mall, there is much more to Sunrise if you dig a little deeper. For one thing the city has some amazing parks which include Welleby Park, Oscar Wind Park, Sawgrass Sanctuary, and Oak Hammock Park. The city's commitment to maintaining well-kept parks enhances the overall quality of life for residents. Cultural events can be enjoyed at the Sunrise Civic Center Theatre and Art Gallery. The city has a number of restaurants especially by the mall. \Whether you are craving traditional Floridian cuisine or international restaurants that offer a taste of global flavors, there's something to satisfy every palate. As the city grew, the residential areas were able to maintain a suburban charm, providing a pleasant contrast to the bustling commercial areas. The neighborhoods are well-planned, with clean streets and a sense of community that makes it an ideal place for families. Sunrise, Florida, is a destination for entertainment, recreation, and community living. With its diverse offerings and friendly atmosphere, Sunrise continues to shine bright in Broward County.

For residents on the weekend the price was $75/hr. with a required $200 deposit you can get back after the event if all is well. This included round and rectangular tables and chairs. The capacity was 180 maximum. You have the option to pick between two rooms but the other room has a stage which was preferred but it was booked already. There is a different rate for nonresidents of $100/hr on weekends I believe. There is an orange panel that runs along the wall making it a bit difficult to mask in decoration but we managed to do so with long length table cloths and backdrops. There are bathrooms with multiple stalls for use but there is not a place to get dressed other than the bathroom. We were unable to return home due to setup cutting close to the start time of the party but we made the bathroom work and it was clean. There is also a full setup kitchen with ice. I don't believe you are able to cook in it but you can keep items warm. There are multiple entries to the room and venue. The parking was limited but we made it work. I was unable to get after setup video or pics of it without the party going on but I was able to find pictures and video on Instagram. The staff was very accommodating allowing us to view the venue before booking and access before the party to determine how we could setup. We were given more than enough tables and chairs. I was able to receive the dimensions of the room to help plan setup. Overall, this venue was a great choice for our budget and we really enjoyed the party. After cleaning we were able to receive our full deposit. If you're looking for a budget friendly place and live in the area this is a great option.

Curious what the county commission is up to? Grab a seat upstairs and watch the debates unfold. It's not always pretty, but it's democracy in action. And there's something almost comforting about it. The architecture is utilitarian, concrete and glass, but the plaza outside ties it to the riverfront and the rest of the downtown core. It reminds you that Broward isn't just beaches and cruise ships -- it's a county of nearly two million people who need roads paved, schools funded, taxes collected, and yes, endless paperwork processed. Tax in order to get a discount was due November 30 and the Title company started sending full amount back in October. First the county said it was too early yo pay penalizing me for a returned check , then a check was sent fed ex on November 23 and as of December it was mot posted although a county rep signed to receive check on Nov 24. The analyst at the County said "check didn't get posted Until Dec 7 so i lost my $80+ discount! This was an unfair and unjust way to treat a loyal long term taxpayer!

Lots of cool things to see like vintage Star Wars, vintage records, Pokémon items, Japanese snacks, Handmade jewelry, and different types of art and so much more too numerous to name them all. Also People dressed in costumes is always fun taking pictures with the kids. We will definitely go next year.

But it was renamed in honor of Emma Lou, the late mayor and long time commissioner of Pompano Beach. There are meetings and banquet rooms here as well as classrooms, halls, and even a dance studio. A variety of programs are offered here as well as lessons. Sports and exercise classes including pickle ball, karate, Zumba, et al. Unfortunately, they no longer hold the granny's attic that I had a selling table at for several years. This was one of my favorite events as there aren't many inside yard sales. But check out the current events and classes -- there's something for everyone.
