This was on a Friday so maybe that's why it was not too busy but trust me I've seen this place on smash plenty of times . The clerk who took my photos was also informative as well he was able to help some Jamaican guy i believe .

Then they call your number (another hour) so that they can move you across the hallway into another, larger room, wherein you turn in your old number and get a new number. Yeah. Right. This is not a joke nor exaggeration. This new room has more chairs in it, and a television where I got to enjoy Family Feud whilst I burned another hour WAITING. No lie: There was some poor soul in a back brace waiting in line ahead of me. The entire time. This place is the absolute model of government inefficiency. Absurd. Here's an idea: add expedited service for a fee and you can hire another 50 apathetic mouth-breathers to not care. Maybe one can hold an umbrella or crack a smile, or, you know, just care. At least it will move a tad faster. CLEARLY the tax code and this process needs to evolve. FAIL.

As a customer, you won't be able to really see all of the inside but there is a spacious waiting area in the lobby if you need police records. The area is sunny and clean as well as the bathrooms. There are 2 vending machines available to use as well. If you need to get a copy of your ambulance report from Fire Administration the front security will escort you too the 4th floor. Security is always pleasant and friendly.

After a quick Google search, I saw that you can rent hourly. $25 alcoholic beverage permit, $200 security deposit, and $30/hour for residents, $55/non resident. Four hour minimum for rentals and an additional $20/hour after 10pm. Food, drinks and catering are allowed.

This was shortly after it had been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the time it was only the 2nd place in Pompano listed. For some reason, my review wasn't listed in Yelp at the time. Since I was first here, the trees have grown and the lawns have become lush and green. One of the newer plaques lists the various trees planted here in memoriam. They were all donated. It is within view of the intracoastal waterway. This is what I wrote about it before -- all still true: This prehistoric Indian Mound Park honors the ancestors of the Tequesta Indians who used to bury the bones of their ancestors all together in large piles. It is now covered with grass and in the middle of the mound is a small pedestal with a plaque on it saying that it was created as a ceremonial burial place about 1300 AD. Surrounding the green grassy hill and central plaque is a small path and a couple benches. In front of the benches, there are pedestals with more information about the Mound. One embedded plaque (looks original) on the ground indicates it is also a bird sanctuary. The large leafy trees make it a shady spot for reflection and rest. There have never been any other people there when I've visited. Parking is limited nearby. There are a few spaces along the street parallel to the intracoastal.

Security was very good but not too friendly while trying to get so many people through bag check and to where they need to be. The jury waiting area is a large room with ample enough seating so no one is sitting on top of each other. I do wish that the seats were a little more comfortable, especially since I was sitting there for hours on end. There is a cute little food area that offers a different hot meal each day and then packaged sandwiches and wraps. The turkey wrap I had the day I was there was very flavorful and more than enough because I was full until I was able to leave later that evening at almost 6PM. The courthouse is nice and clean as well as more than enough bathrooms around so it wasn't hard to find one while I was there the entire day.

My mail in plea was never delivered. The mail only bounced back to my return home address AFTER I…read moredid a missing mail search. About 65 people attended the event tonight and there was sufficient parking, although, if anymore people would have attended I'm not sure there would have been more spots. The Village Civic Center is located in the City of Sunrise's police substation. I'd recommend holding an evening event for more parking spot options. The fellow who sets up the room is always friendly and helpful. I'm docking a star due to the facility not notifying us that it didn't have a microphone. It has in the years past but apparently it went missing. If we had known prior, we would have improvised and brought our own mics. When it's an important part of a business program, it hinders the guests' experience. It was preventable for our program had we known and renters of the facility should be informed.

A word of caution on the resident parking permits. They are fir specific designated areas and you may find them sold out. They also address matters of boat ramp and recreational parking. I went to this office to obtain a resident parking permit, only to find out it can be done online, but it was nice to get their instructions. The office itself is really small, sort of an afterthought hole in the wall place, but the window attendants are polite and pleasant

I love to explore the history of south Florida. There are so many grand houses and buildings from…read morethe 1920's during Florida's land boom years before hurricanes and the Great Depression robbed many of their fortunes. One such 1920s beauty is the 1924 Curci House built by Frank and Rosina Curci, a pioneer family who came to the area in 1907 with their three small children. The house is located in the city of Hallandale which has four heritage and one historic site. The family struggled when they arrived at SW 5th Avenue and West Dixie Highway but they put in work and became prosperous from farming tomatoes and fruit and later on they opened a construction business. The Curci's eventually had eleven children and Mr. Curci spoke five languages and was an accomplished musician. "Villa Providence" was the couples dream home which they built on their eleven acre property. It was constructed from concrete filled terra cotta block walls with termite impervious Dade pine floors. They added Cuban tile details can be found throughout the house and there is glass from Italy imbedded in the outside stucco finish. The house was so well built that it was able to withstand the Great Hurricane of 1926 when it served as a refuge for many in the community. The family remained in their home until the 1950's. The home is listed on the Hallandale website as being open on the first Saturday of every month between 11am and 4pm but they have shut it down to tours since the pandemic and never bothered to reopen although it appears that it can be rented for private events. There is a huge fence surrounding the property so for now you can only view the home from the street. It is such a disappointment to see it closed. Nearby Hollywood reopened their historic Hammerstein House and Hallandale should consider doing the same.
